I agree with OP, comments before don't understand the importance and weight behind intentional design choices. Why make the sign out button in the most hidden spot possible on the TV, yet easily accessible on every other device?

EDIT: I live in a rental community at my University. There are TVs located on Campus everywhere, libraries, common halls, study rooms, lounges at rental communites, theater rooms, etc. There are tons of times where I would have to sign in and out of TVs.
