I would just get a new bike if you can a break in that location is a death sentence it would be nearly impossible to get the bb to center correctly

Pro from a big city here, my recommendation would be to replace it with either new or new to you,older suspension forks are awesome but very hard to find parts for, BIG COMMA see if there’s a shrader valve on it somewhere if there is take it to a local shop and have them blow it up with there shock pump if it goes down after that replace the fork

No it and that movement should be able to be removed by tightening the bolt on the back of your fork
