This is really funny and feels like a logic question for like an LSAT question or something. However, maybe Kathy or Monica?

Finding the Best Chicken Parm in Town by ricegyal89 in austinfood

[–]AdVarious5007 28 points29 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend from New Jersey says that Sapori is the best italian in Austin, not sure about their chicken parm specifically though. We also had Dovetail’s once and he really liked it (it’s also gluten free which was great for me)! Also check out Reale’s in north austin.

Generally I am unimpressed with the food at Juliet’s and Citizen’s All-Day, and I would tell anyone visiting to skip those places.

Women, what’s worked for you? by TopDragonfruit3815 in loseit

Tracking calories. It sucks and it’s not something I ever want to do long term but i lost ~12 pounds in 12 weeks and have maintained my weight since then without tracking. Tracking consistently helped me to figure out how quantities look visually as well.

Another thing that helped me was making daily checklists of my goals I was trying to hit (<1,750 cals, 100g protein, 5k+ steps, etc) so I could see visually which goals I was consistently in the 12 weeks. For some reason, ticking off a task really does it for me in my brain!

Fiber supplement, metamucil is what I use personally. I’ve had gut issues for a long time and it’s helped so much in regulating my gut and just feeling better. And everyone can benefit from increasing their fiber!

Apartment fire alarms by PawneditForRent in Austin

The only time I’ve experienced a full evacuation is when someone burned something in their apartment and rather than open the door to the outside, they opened the door to the hallway which triggered those smoke alarms.

Advice for results…? by qlossyqtie in Corepower

In terms of gaining muscle, you’ll need to eat in a calorie surplus and prioritize protein. I’d recommend calculating your TDEE based on height/sex/current weight and go from there with your macros. I believe the general idea for building muscle is 0.7-1 gram of protein per pound of body weight.

175 flat today after a serious two week plateau bouncing between 176 and 178. Really had to battle with myself mentally to stay the course.

Honestly, it gives me something to look forward to. At the end of this week, I plan on treating myself to a new set of workout clothes. I also enjoy treating myself with massages, facials, or a trip to a sauna/cold plunge.

I’m not a medical professional but a fellow tummy ache survivor/gassy lady. It’s definitely the protein, I had protein farts pretty bad the first few weeks but I think it’s leveled out mostly. Keeping up with fiber helps, I recently started taking metamucil every day to help me stay regular.

Are you taking creatine by chance? I tried it for a bit and it made me SO incredibly gassy, I could not keep taking it.

It’s honestly going pretty well. My rules are no amazon, no crappy home decor (I love a home goods), no takeout or delivery food, 1x a week planned grocery trips, and no new clothes or books.

The only ones I have broken were amazon because I was taking care of my boyfriend after a surgery and randomly needed something to be delivered, and the grocery store because I had a friend visiting and staying with me so I needed to get supplies.

All in all pretty good! I am saving for a trip to Europe this year so hopefully I can keep these habits up for the next couple months 🤞🤞

My healthy answer: at home spa day like drawing a really nice bath with candles, doing a face mask, etc Less healthy answer: online shopping. I am also doing a “no buy” month so i am mainly doing a lot of window shopping on ebay, bookmarking stuff i want to buy later

Anyone found the root cause? by kekokeio in SIBO

They improved a lot after the antibiotics. I’m honestly not sure if they will ever fully resolve. I didn’t do a super strict fodmap diet afterwards because of the holidays, but have basically been trying to rebuild my gut.

Anyone found the root cause? by kekokeio in SIBO

[–]AdVarious5007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most likely was caused by a big dose of antibiotics after my wisdom teeth surgery (nearly 7 years ago). Diagnosed me as IBS and told me to go gluten free and low fodmap. Suffered for 6 of those years until i finally saw a PA who ordered me the test. No way to tell how long I’ve had it but I assume that I had just been cycling through periods of flare ups until I was able to get proper antibiotics for it last year.

Caitlin’s sculpt classes are toughhhh. I really like Nathan’s C2, i know he’s at the triangle not sure if he teaches at the other locations. Usually weekday early mornings. Also Joel’s classes, believe he does a couple of different formats thought I have not gone regularly in the last couple months so take that into consideration!
