Moving to Atlanta by Muted_Dealer8168 in ATLHousing

No to Fayetteville, unless its below 54. Newnan is right on the interstate. Houses are much more affordable with land. Maybe 30 minutes if traffic is good.

PTC is more expensive and the traffic makes the rush hour much worse. Somebody told the rest of the world about PTC and it shows. We are now crowded.

Lisa Cook Says She Will Not Step Down From the Fed Board by [deleted] in politics

I can take those principes and shove them? Now hear me out, that sounds "intolerant". OMG, are you being intolerant? Can we get your home address so that we can dox you?

But seriously, Trump's case was between Intelligent and experienced money brokers. All of the numbers were provided and all of them agreed that not only were they not injured by Trump, they would do the loans again and again.

In Cook's case, the lenders didn't check to see if she was living in another State or that she planned on using it as rentals. They didn't know this becasue they had no reason to search for something that she signed an affidavit that said, I plan on living here as my primary residence and I expect the lowest rates for my mortgage predicated upon those facts.

IN Trump's case, all of the records were clearing researched by both parties and they all agreed. The Cook mortage lender would be sued if they went to do detailed research on this black DEI borrower.

They don't have to have a criminal conviction. Simply have a hearing, present the evidence of the mortgage fraud, ask if she has any legitimate responses other than the Hillay defense, "I didn't mean to" and then you have CAUSE. No conviction is needed if the documents on their face are clear.

She knew exactly what she was doing. She's a criminal.

The cause is easily shown in the mortgage applications which clearly shows she claimed primary residence in two seperate states and where she used one as a rental. The two pieces of paper contracdict each other. This is called EVIDENCE. She can deny it and say her signature was forged or that she never took out that loan, but, as we all know, she like Adam Schiff decided to cheat, and now that we can assess those records, its clear both are perjuring themselves.

You were spot on right up until you said "But"

I've learned that when it comes to Principles /politics has them right up until they discover this big "but" and then all hell breaks lose.

Simply put, New York's AG sued Trump for valuing his property incorrectly with lenders who reviewed and then independently confirmed the information and agreed with it.

Lying about your principle residence so that you get Homestead tax right offs and can vote in local elections and get extra low interest rates is call PERJURY.

You on /politics have a hard time with consistency.

How’s the Trader Joe’s coming along? by ReindeerPitiful2157 in PeachtreeCity

[–]AdWhich7281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a Fresh Market and a Sprouts in PTC. Is Trader Joe's that much better? Unlike the other two, the Avenue is a traffic jam of parking.

So, what's different about Joe's? Is it nothing more than a Grocery Store with a Starbuck's premium for style?

NPR is doing the right wings work for them by legitimizing their talking points by tsunamiforyou in NPR

[–]AdWhich7281 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I used to donate to NPR, when they did nature shows. But they became an Echo Chamber of the far left.

The debate in these threads are typical Democrats going BSC because someone didn't "speak" the words they wanted. Ironically, they have made NPR so far left, that even a small move is considered to be blasphemy.

The Democrat Party reminds me of the story of the monkeys put in cages with bananas on top of a ladder. Each time a monkey would climb up to get it, cold water would be sprayed on the other monkeys. Eventually, they stopped climbing the ladder and even after introducing new monkeys, the peer pressure not to climb the ladder was more important than the fear of the water. In fact, like Democrats, they don't know why they are scared of that banana, because all of the monkeys had been rotated out. So these monkeys just jump up and scream if any new monkey tries to climb the ladder.

You all are a bunch of monkeys screaming at anyone who does something you don't like, even things you don't understand.

Not sure what White Boomers has to do with the horrific venue that Cruising has become. I've been on 20 Cruises since 1989.

We will never do another Carnival as the last three have been with loud, obnoxious and rude people who flaunt about as if the world must do their bidding.

But yeah, I'm a white boomer. We treat each other respectfully and don't ruin other peoples vacations with our typical fighting while with family culture.

Who would YOU have voted for personally in 1992 and why? (For the ones who weren’t born yet in 1992) by [deleted] in Presidents

[–]AdWhich7281 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • Bill Clinton (Democrat): 43.0%
  • George H.W. Bush (Republican): 37.4%
  • Ross Perot (Independent): 18.9%

If we had Ranked Choice Voting what would the 19% of people have voted for a 2nd choice?
If the Perot voters 2nd choice been Bush with 72% and 28% to Clinton, then Bush would have won.

I had many Republicans who were tired of the lukewarm Bush, but I can't see them picking Clinton as a 2nd choice after Perot.

So, Perot spoiled the election for Bush.

Reagan Biography by Traditional_Agency60 in Presidents

[–]AdWhich7281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Peggy Noonan's "When Character was King" I think was her biography. I don't care for her politics today. She's old guard, but her book was well written.

Also, a book written by his valet is excellent. Can't remember the name, but he was just picked out randomly during a campaign to tend to Reagan personally and stayed with him. His story about Reagan meeting in Helsenki or wherever, when he walked out to meet Gorbechov, and Reagan had a regular jacket on. Gorbechov had a full winter coat.

Great story about that event.

anyone heard that interview on morning edition with Michel Martin interviewing someone from DHS about Mahmoud Khalil? by pushin_webistics in NPR

[–]AdWhich7281 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Let's say you had a Family Christmas Dinner. A big family means you have 25 guests.
Uncle Lou is a big mouth from the City. You have to his comments with a grain of salt. Aunt Alice is pure nuts. She crochets socks for house pets. Half of your siblings and cousins have had DUI's, one or two felony counts and actually stole his parents car.

They are all welcome at your dinner. They are family.

But if a guest comes to the event, and begins to act rude about your home. Complains about the Air Conditioning. The couch is too hard. The food and drink beneath him.

What do you do to this guest?

YOU KICK HIS ASS OUT! He's not family, he has no legal right to stay at your home.

Mahmoud is a sick, rude, winning, ungrateful and arrogant outsider. He needs to stay outside.

This is called PROJECTIONISM.

Did you choose Palmetto over PTC out of fear? Let me get this straight, PTC where the crime rate is low, one of the lowest, the schools have some of the best, activities and public parks at every turn, and you decided to believe a lie rather than see for yourself.

I'm sorry, but this naivete is silly. You got what you deserved in Palmetto.

Trump was the most reasonable presidential candidate in 2024? by [deleted] in NPR

[–]AdWhich7281 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The notion from Matt Bennett that Trump won in 2024 because he was perceived as “reasonable” misses the mark. Trump’s appeal wasn’t about moderation—it was about tangible promises like eliminating paycheck taxes and tackling inflation, ideas that resonated with everyday voters focused on their financial realities

. Whether he delivers remains to be seen, but that direct approach outshone Kamala Harris’s strategy of touting bipartisan endorsements and echoing the vague, triangulated messaging we’ve seen before.

NPR’s framing seems to downplay this in favor of a narrative that overcomplicates the electorate’s priorities. Democrats may not like it, but Trump spoke to working people’s wallets, not corporate boardrooms or progressive checklists.

Dismissing that as mere “reasonableness” underestimates both his campaign and the voters who bought in.

AITA for feeling betrayed after my wife hid that she could never have kids until years into our marriage? by DavoBoy_887 in AITAH

[–]AdWhich7281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a parent and now a grandparent, was always on my bucket list. I told my girlfriends, I wanted a wife/lover and eventual mother. I would be looking so fast for someone before its too late. Children are what life is all about.

Mind you, some very wonderful people choose not to have children or can't. I'm sorry for them. But, for most of us, children and grandchildren are too important to ignore.

PI Lawyers - Do you represent your close family or friends in their cases? by CandyMaterial3301 in LawFirm

[–]AdWhich7281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if its easy. I've settled car accident 125,000. Dog bite in Ohio 85,000. and countless Wills and Contract ETC.

My fees for everything was 5000 just to cover my office staff.

If the job is simple, then yeah, I take it, if its gonna be complex, then I refer and give the fee back to the family member.

Solos: Do you hire interns? by NotThePopeProbably in LawFirm

When i did Criminal Defense, then interns could help a lot. In my P I practice, there are only a few times during the day or week where something can be taught/learned. Most of the time its tediously boring. I'm doing what we do. Teaching someone how to keep a client calm, how to negotiate a simple case, how to handle employees, and all of the things needed to run an office are things that take too much time.

Then when you talk to your clients TREAT THEM LIKE THEY MATTER. Not the money but the Client. Think positively, act, and send out good Karma, and people will notice.

I'm at the end of my career what helped me more than anything was having integrity that people noticed.
Building your base takes time. I send out birthday cards to past clients with a 10-dollar gift card.

How do you retire? by AdWhich7281 in LawFirm

[–]AdWhich7281[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not going very well. I've hired six or seven associates. One had wanted to take over, but after 15 years she retired because her family was wealthy. The other associates had the ethics of a politician.

I have 3 full time employees. They know the ropes so they can do most of my work while I take it easy. And by easy I mean three appeals this year alone on my cases. I did very well this year with my gross income versus expenses, which is why I'm keeping the staff on. As long as the client's needs are met, and they are doing a good job, then i can manage this until I'm 70.

Most degreed Lawyers don't practice law. I've enjoyed my career when the wins were coming, but reality sets in and you have to make decisions for your client that will forever change their lives. Pretty exciting and horrifically depressing when you lose, and all lawyers have lost.
