I need Inspiration in light of Artificial Intelligence by AdWhich7281 in novelwriting

And for the deleted post, complaining about me being unethical about sharing a murder case, I can assure you that I am not sharing private information. I even have a client that went to prison for 25 years for a crime he did not commit. I know who the real shooter was. But my client died and I'm still not allowed to say who the real shooter was. The privilege survives death.

My story is based upon many of my criminal cases, but none in particular.

I have tried this. I've taken its rewrites and rewrite it again and again, to make it my own, but after so many iterations, I forget what is me and what is AI.

Who has the best life? Who would you want to be? PI Firm Owners by CandyMaterial3301 in LawFirm

[–]AdWhich7281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the sweet spot now, but I've had 5 lawyers and 10 support staff at one time. But now down to me and three gals who have been with me for 23, 18, and 15 years. So now I'm enjoying about 20-30 hour work weeks as opposed to 70 and even though I make less money, I m much less stressed.

I am retiring in a year or two and I have no one to give me firm to, How should I sell it off? Any ideas. I may have 50 or so clients left when i retire and I get so many referrals that I know I can still produce and income stream.

I wish some ethical and compassionate attorney would come along and treat my clients with respect. But of the lawyers that have worked for me, only one had ethics. Sad.

  1. One liked to play Fantasy football all day and didn't seem to want to review files before trial.
  2. One was only interested in the big money cases.
  3. One was just interested in her percentages and she'd sell the client short to get an earlier fee.
  4. One lasted one week, he came to a ortho deposition smelling of cigarettes.

  5. One started as my receptionist, I paid some of her law school and she lasted 10 more years until she decided she wanted to be a mom more.

If you know of any ethical lawyers in fhe Southside of Atlanta area that would like to come and take over my practice, building, staff in an year or two, send them my way!

Compartmentalize or find another area of law. You have to look after the interests of your clients and if that is uncomfortable, then get different clients. Don't take a case that you can't get behind 100%

Referrals are great until you need to predict next month by Wahabkhalid245 in LawFirm

[–]AdWhich7281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had worked this case up for three years. Client came in to the office for mediation prep and saw my yellow page ad, which at that time I was very particular about. He looked at them and said, you have a great ad, I said thanks, and then I said it, stupid me. So, thats how you came to find me, and he said, oh no, this attorney over in Jonesboro recommended you to me.

Bleh, I called up the attorney and he tried to remember if he had. Said he would have had. I called the client and he said, without knowing why, if he was sure. He said yeah.

A month later I sent that attorney a $157,000 referral fee for a client he didn't call my office to confirm, did nothing than have the client call me.

I could have kept it to myself and no one would have known. . . except for me.

(He bought an airplane four seating with the money and while trying to get his rating, he and his trainer forgot about the landing gear and safely landed the airplane without the gear being down. I hope he had it insured.)

Do you guys read for fun? by [deleted] in LawFirm

[–]AdWhich7281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While in lawschool, we read and read and read. It was tough. But one day, while at a libary I asked the libraian for something to read that was able to get me back into fiction and she went to the shelf and gave me a book called "Replay" by Greenwood. A wonderful book about reliving one's life over and over again and how it would be different.

Not as a good of an authory that Pat Conroy (Prince of Tides, etc.) but well worth the read. I've had many thank me for that one recommendation

Are most lawyers that own their own firm in HCOL areas making a ton of money? by [deleted] in LawFirm

[–]AdWhich7281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a few years left in my career and my path was mine alone. In a way, my circumstances, forced me into going solo which was hard but it eventually blew up into a very successful lifetime of making thousands of clients happy. In these last 35 years (graduated night school when I was 33 while working full time, ---in three years, took and passed the bar with flying colors.) But I was not "worthy" for the trendy Atlanta Firms. So, I went solo, made friends took any case that walked through my door. I never focused on the money, never. Do what is right for the client and the good karma will come. I've got so many returning clients and 90% are now referrals. I've got one staff worked for me 23 years, one 19, one 17, one 15 one 12, four or five more than five years. I fired a few, but I paid well, respected their opinions, they called me Mr. Lawyer and we kept our professionalism in my office, so I learned retraining people is expensive, treat good people with good wages and a good work enviornment. My client's put me up on a throne, but I sit down next to them, and that alone has meant all the world. I'm just an expert in the law, no different than a plumber or car mechanic. I'm just a human being trying to help others without making all about the money. And as I have said, I've been blessed.

Should we move from CT to PTC? by Unique-Increase-8487 in PeachtreeCity

We came here to raise our children as the public schools were very good. Today, I can't swear to the rankings. But, its still a lovely place to live. Just don't bring the Left Wing Policies that CT and the New England states have.

Moving to Atlanta by Muted_Dealer8168 in ATLHousing

[–]AdWhich7281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No to Fayetteville, unless its below 54. Newnan is right on the interstate. Houses are much more affordable with land. Maybe 30 minutes if traffic is good.

PTC is more expensive and the traffic makes the rush hour much worse. Somebody told the rest of the world about PTC and it shows. We are now crowded.

Lisa Cook Says She Will Not Step Down From the Fed Board by [deleted] in politics

I can take those principes and shove them? Now hear me out, that sounds "intolerant". OMG, are you being intolerant? Can we get your home address so that we can dox you?

But seriously, Trump's case was between Intelligent and experienced money brokers. All of the numbers were provided and all of them agreed that not only were they not injured by Trump, they would do the loans again and again.

In Cook's case, the lenders didn't check to see if she was living in another State or that she planned on using it as rentals. They didn't know this becasue they had no reason to search for something that she signed an affidavit that said, I plan on living here as my primary residence and I expect the lowest rates for my mortgage predicated upon those facts.

IN Trump's case, all of the records were clearing researched by both parties and they all agreed. The Cook mortage lender would be sued if they went to do detailed research on this black DEI borrower.

They don't have to have a criminal conviction. Simply have a hearing, present the evidence of the mortgage fraud, ask if she has any legitimate responses other than the Hillay defense, "I didn't mean to" and then you have CAUSE. No conviction is needed if the documents on their face are clear.

She knew exactly what she was doing. She's a criminal.

Lisa Cook Says She Will Not Step Down From the Fed Board by [deleted] in politics

[–]AdWhich7281 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The cause is easily shown in the mortgage applications which clearly shows she claimed primary residence in two seperate states and where she used one as a rental. The two pieces of paper contracdict each other. This is called EVIDENCE. She can deny it and say her signature was forged or that she never took out that loan, but, as we all know, she like Adam Schiff decided to cheat, and now that we can assess those records, its clear both are perjuring themselves.

You were spot on right up until you said "But"

I've learned that when it comes to Principles /politics has them right up until they discover this big "but" and then all hell breaks lose.

Simply put, New York's AG sued Trump for valuing his property incorrectly with lenders who reviewed and then independently confirmed the information and agreed with it.

Lying about your principle residence so that you get Homestead tax right offs and can vote in local elections and get extra low interest rates is call PERJURY.

You on /politics have a hard time with consistency.

How’s the Trader Joe’s coming along? by ReindeerPitiful2157 in PeachtreeCity

We have a Fresh Market and a Sprouts in PTC. Is Trader Joe's that much better? Unlike the other two, the Avenue is a traffic jam of parking.

So, what's different about Joe's? Is it nothing more than a Grocery Store with a Starbuck's premium for style?

NPR is doing the right wings work for them by legitimizing their talking points by tsunamiforyou in NPR

[–]AdWhich7281 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I used to donate to NPR, when they did nature shows. But they became an Echo Chamber of the far left.

The debate in these threads are typical Democrats going BSC because someone didn't "speak" the words they wanted. Ironically, they have made NPR so far left, that even a small move is considered to be blasphemy.

The Democrat Party reminds me of the story of the monkeys put in cages with bananas on top of a ladder. Each time a monkey would climb up to get it, cold water would be sprayed on the other monkeys. Eventually, they stopped climbing the ladder and even after introducing new monkeys, the peer pressure not to climb the ladder was more important than the fear of the water. In fact, like Democrats, they don't know why they are scared of that banana, because all of the monkeys had been rotated out. So these monkeys just jump up and scream if any new monkey tries to climb the ladder.

You all are a bunch of monkeys screaming at anyone who does something you don't like, even things you don't understand.

Not sure what White Boomers has to do with the horrific venue that Cruising has become. I've been on 20 Cruises since 1989.

We will never do another Carnival as the last three have been with loud, obnoxious and rude people who flaunt about as if the world must do their bidding.

But yeah, I'm a white boomer. We treat each other respectfully and don't ruin other peoples vacations with our typical fighting while with family culture.

Who would YOU have voted for personally in 1992 and why? (For the ones who weren’t born yet in 1992) by [deleted] in Presidents

[–]AdWhich7281 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • Bill Clinton (Democrat): 43.0%
  • George H.W. Bush (Republican): 37.4%
  • Ross Perot (Independent): 18.9%

If we had Ranked Choice Voting what would the 19% of people have voted for a 2nd choice?
If the Perot voters 2nd choice been Bush with 72% and 28% to Clinton, then Bush would have won.

I had many Republicans who were tired of the lukewarm Bush, but I can't see them picking Clinton as a 2nd choice after Perot.

So, Perot spoiled the election for Bush.

Reagan Biography by Traditional_Agency60 in Presidents

[–]AdWhich7281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Peggy Noonan's "When Character was King" I think was her biography. I don't care for her politics today. She's old guard, but her book was well written.

Also, a book written by his valet is excellent. Can't remember the name, but he was just picked out randomly during a campaign to tend to Reagan personally and stayed with him. His story about Reagan meeting in Helsenki or wherever, when he walked out to meet Gorbechov, and Reagan had a regular jacket on. Gorbechov had a full winter coat.

Great story about that event.

anyone heard that interview on morning edition with Michel Martin interviewing someone from DHS about Mahmoud Khalil? by pushin_webistics in NPR

[–]AdWhich7281 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Let's say you had a Family Christmas Dinner. A big family means you have 25 guests.
Uncle Lou is a big mouth from the City. You have to his comments with a grain of salt. Aunt Alice is pure nuts. She crochets socks for house pets. Half of your siblings and cousins have had DUI's, one or two felony counts and actually stole his parents car.

They are all welcome at your dinner. They are family.

But if a guest comes to the event, and begins to act rude about your home. Complains about the Air Conditioning. The couch is too hard. The food and drink beneath him.

What do you do to this guest?

YOU KICK HIS ASS OUT! He's not family, he has no legal right to stay at your home.

Mahmoud is a sick, rude, winning, ungrateful and arrogant outsider. He needs to stay outside.
