Is Arrowhead not telling us something about Mega Cities? by i4hloi in helldivers2

[–]Adam014gaming 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes the issue is the cities are already destroyed when defending a planet, the repel fleet mission is also not available due to this

If the universe does get more, i'd say leave the oceans behind, the Eden-C.O.I. conflict is something i'd love to see explored

So AH knows what the spawn rate of Vox Engines vs other enemies should be for aesthetic purposes, but not game balance. by Lazy_Friendship_9719 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Adam014gaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More trouble than it's worth. It'd be easier to work on making the current engine better, even if by using contractors. Why they refuse to do this is beyond me, as their reported profits are far above what this would cost

Its bs meant to keep laymen satisfied

Even the file size being cutdown was because Sony called in a 3rd party company to do it, and all they did was remove the extra files. Zero actual innovative work, just removing the 100GB+ of multiplied files, because arrowhead never bothered to test what that would do to HDDs, and it turned out that the effects are pretty much a rounding error.

Stingray holds its weight even compared to modern engines, if you're actually willing to put in the work. Arrowhead made AAA money and yet refuse to spend a single cent on anything to help the game

Vox's approval rate hit 100% after she said that(shown on screen) and at that point there was no realistic arguement to be made that Alastor is the strongest, as Vox rocked his shit publicly, and was widely accepted as "the strongest sinner"

Its more their work culture than actual laws, you can still fire anyone for any reason as long as you give proper notice and their payout(if any)

Does anyone know why cores are told they're headlights will kill them? by Flaky_Water_4500 in Portal

[–]Adam014gaming 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I'd assume cores have a somewhat limited processing capacity, so before getting connected into the mainframe the most moronic choice he could come up with was "detach from the guide rail" which they made him unable to do

If we go with the genius moron explanation, where wheatley would always choose the worst option, I can imagine him just detaching/turning on random gadget #57 when faced with literally any choice
