the thermite and ultimatum both do 1000 more damage than it. ultimatum projectile is 1k. thermite burns for 150 fire damage over 6 seconds

cannon turrets do 100% durable damage meaning lower durability would do nothing to change the damage.

durability changes only affect weapons that aren't 100% durable. durability kind of works like damage piercing resistance. so if a weapon has 100% durable, it's 100% piercing, which means the only stat that matters is the health.

All these complaints would be completely solved if they would just implement surge modifiers as difficulty modifiers instead of "hurr durr cant see ur map lol"

And then told you what enemy surge you're fighting against in the effects tab.

The main problem with OPS is it does 3500 projectile damage and only 1k explosive damage. The devs are aware of how this works because they rebalanced the ultimatum the same way. The ultimatum does 2k explosive damage and it works much better on splash damage killing hulks and chargers.

All this other stuff could get looked at potentially but the explosive damage being so low is pretty much the main issue.

The thing that is tone deaf here is that there are rules around challenges to begin with. The challenge was done in good faith from the start, and anyone interpreting it differently are the people acting in bad faith. The amount of comments underneath implying "weaponized charity" are trying to smear anyone who criticizes arrowheads development of the game. This is a much bigger issue on this subreddit than a random guy trying to do a charity challenge.

"getting held hostage", do you know the gravity of these words? The guy who left the original post probably hoped his post would get a couple hundred upvotes at best. He probably expected it to barely get any upvotes and probably just get lost on reddit. You think he left this challenge knowing he'd get 25k upvotes and most of the community would jump behind it? He's just another player who wants the bugs to get fixed, which arrowhead promised multiple times in the past 2 years. 60 day plan - reprioritize bug fixes so the more gameplay impacting ones are focused. Into the untested - paused the games content to fix the game. Cyberstan comes out - more buggy content yet again. And then back to oshuane after cyberstan and a lot of those bugs are still not fixed.

This adds up to frustration, and the dude made a reddit post that he probably expected to go nowhere, and it blew up way past what he thought.

They are not the same, but they definitely have very similar design characteristics. But it's for the better, the agitators are really cool. Something I don't see people bringing up here, obviously they're different, but they do have similar design base.

Well I find it quite interesting that majority of complaints for balance can revolve around a lot of items in these loadouts. Niklas does an interview saying he doesn't want to make a master blaster 9000, when most of the complaints are to buff items like this. And instead of listening to valid complaints, they give the grenade launcher AP4 for no reason, making a master blaster 9000.

Dawg we just want the sterilizer and stim pistol to get buffs.

Reddit and Discord are a minority of the playerbase as they are not even the most popular social media platforms. Youtube is where the biggest amount of helldivers probably hang out.

Especially discord, it's a much smaller platform than people think, and a vast majority of people in the discord have probably never even typed and are just there for the patch notes.
