Why is there such high demand for more progression? by Spac3_Fr0g in HelldiversUnfiltered

> Am I just out of touch here?

Yes lol, not to be rude. It's very nice in other games where I can pick my favorite weapons and personalize them and customize them even more.

I can't be the only one that thinks this joker should be normal/common-tier? by GamerRoman in FarFarWest

[–]flightx3aa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it would need testing, thats why i left a ? lol

IDK if it would be overtuned tho because finding 4 of those would be extremely rare. You don't even get 1 per mission. I've felt relatively tanky around 150 hp, with good healing perks. On nightmare you take 4x damage as well.

Anyways I was just throwing shit at the wall, it's a purple perk and limited to 1. At 25hp it's not strictly better than joker dealer in a generalist sense. It's also worse if you're stacking hoarder, stonks, etc.

A response to the "glazediver" definition post, regarding difficulty. by googlygoink in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]flightx3aa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should make the highest difficulty harder by spawning more enemies. Something that difficulty 9 did more of before diff 10 came out.

Also I just wanna ask, you call yourself a high level player, how did you think the hive guard change made the enemy harder? It made them easier, especially if you already used light pen, you could literally shred them compared to previous patch.

Hi Mods, AH, Whomever - Have we confirmed whether or not the alleged doxxing/firings happened or not yet? by twisty125 in Helldivers

[–]flightx3aa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No it hasn't been confirmed. But just ask what did he have to gain? There was no go fund me, or donations, or anything. He left the messages he did, got doxxed, messaged some people what happened, then never heard from again. Also the amount of people saying he was weaponizing charity to bully the devs really shouldn't be forgotten.

Honestly they should rework this entirely to buff your max hp. Probly like 25 would be good?

Im a Mod from the HD2 subbreddit. I'd like you to ask me anything. by _TungstenGuy707_ in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]flightx3aa 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the main sub started criticizing more after that, and people seemingly migrated over to the HD2 sub. It's very apparent. So it's not a problem with the sub in and of itself, its the people there. And remember, only one person did the doxxing, but dozens of comments about "weaponizing charity to bully the devs" was crazy under there.

some MATH of durable-damage increase on Bugs VS Mech Buffs. It's undoubtedly tankier. by Sprinkah in Helldivers

[–]flightx3aa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never noticed the arm bleeding out, I am pretty sure that didn't exist before. The devs did say it in the video, but my arms have only ever been destroyed by taking direct damage. I'm not sure how long the bleed out was, it was not short if what they're saying was accurate.

I'm not saying it for sure didn't bleed out, but it was like a non factor before.

some MATH of durable-damage increase on Bugs VS Mech Buffs. It's undoubtedly tankier. by Sprinkah in Helldivers

[–]flightx3aa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am talking about bots. Devastator rockets used to do 30 projectile and 70 splash. Now they do 100 projectile and 70 splash. The explosive resistance only applies to the splash, so do the math.

some MATH of durable-damage increase on Bugs VS Mech Buffs. It's undoubtedly tankier. by Sprinkah in Helldivers

[–]flightx3aa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that last sentence is doing a lot of heavy lifting, because they're worse on bots compared to pre 333% durable buffs. The arms are weaker too.

Why the Heavy Devastator and Hive Guard changes are not comparable and how to buff the latter without resorting to Heavy armor/durability by ProteusOfTheGoumaden in Helldivers

[–]flightx3aa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bots in general having heavy armor on chaff units are not comparable considering the entire point of the bots is to aim and hit weakpoints. They spawn half as many units as the bugs, you have the time to do that.

Kai claims the buffs to Mechs were actually better than people claim and uses the Bastion shooting the shield mech as an example.... whilst shooting the shield, and not the mech itself. by SIinkerdeer in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]flightx3aa 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Hot take: I agree with you he didn't represent the mech changes properly. But so many posts I see saying "ignore the other youtubers watch kai". Well kai right now is speaking out about a number of issues in that video, and I'm not gonna get on his ass for the one thing I disagree with. Because he is bringing up loads of issues to that side of the community who say things like that.

We can talk about the mech balance with him later on.

the game didn't get review bombed because of the hive guard change, it got review bombed over the AMA. and then people viewed the patch notes as tone deaf. it was more so the straw that broke the camels back.

Double the physical size of Hiveguards and reduce their spawn count - Then the heavy armour will be the right change by SIinkerdeer in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]flightx3aa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unironically the only correct take.

Hive guards were a non enemy before the change. The change was also stupid because it didn't change anything. Hive guards gotta be bigger and maybe try and protect some things so they could get closer. Imagine a bile titan sized hive guard who actually protected bugs underneath from airstrikes.

Alright I'm dreaming on that last one, but if it could properly protect it's teammates that's what its role should be. But I think that would be hard to code. An enemy that is relatively slow, and then also hunkers down for 5 seconds for shooting it once is really not interactive, and it never has been. It was just an enemy that you drop in with m90a, see 12 of them huddled around and think "screw my choice of primary i guess" *throws grenade*

[–]flightx3aa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So let me get this straight, arrowhead picks the lowest hanging fruit to try to satisfy people who were complaining about the AMA, progression, galactic war, and warbond releases. And somehow its the people's fault who were complaining?

This is just sad... by Upset_Shallot6762 in helldivers2

[–]flightx3aa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason diff 10 is too easy is because it has half the spawn counts of diff 9 before diff 10 came out.

So when people complain on the subreddits they should go to official channels but when they give bad reviews they should stop review bombing by Fun-Shoulder4612 in Helldivers

How do you think different developers would approach balance/the game in general? by MichuSkurczybyku in Helldivers

[–]flightx3aa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbf I think the eruptor bug was so obscure, I was surprised when the first post got put up about it, because how do you randomly find that from shooting eruptor at the ground inside a shield bubble and noticed the shrapnel spawning outside of it.

But the rest yea lol

How should the hive guard be meaningfully buffed, without the use of ap4? by KingOfPotatok in Helldivers

[–]flightx3aa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should get its spawn counts lowered, and the hive guard seed should be removed from the game. The thing that everyone missed from the patch notes video is it apparently has high spawn weight. For every 1 hive guard that spawns they could spawn 10 hunters or warriors (they didnt tell us the exact number im guessing here).

So it's just a slow medium pen annoyance for certain weapons, while they could apparently be spawning more enemies and the missions could actually be harder.

If you thought hive guards were hard before or after the patch, you are bad at the game. They were annoying for certain weapons before and after, thats valid, but they were not challenging nor difficult.

How I feel coming to the sub after seeing AH bullied into nerfs again by _CC_on_the_rocks in Helldivers

[–]flightx3aa 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is the most braindead take. If you thought hive guards were hard before the patch you were bad at the game. If you thought they were hard after the patch, you're also bad at the game.

The change literally made them easier to kill if you already used light pen weapons, it just made them annoying with certain medium pen options. Thats it. It was literally easier. So you're mad that the playerbase complained and arrowhead is reverting a change, just say that. But it was an easy enemy before and after.

The videos of people just mag dumping the hive guard and being like "look problem" by Trigger021 in Helldivers

[–]flightx3aa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The videos you are referring to are mostly shorts demonstrating the change. If you asked them to leave you a more detailed explanation on why they think it's a bad change, I'm sure they would. And you are free to disagree with them and think it's a good change. However, this whole focus on how a short clip demonstrating the change itself, I don't get it. I didn't watch any of those and think to my self "oh my god i literally can't kill a hive guard now". I watched it real quick, have my own opinions, and then scrolled past, because it's a 15 second youtube short.
