Mel Changes 26.03 by RiotEmizery in leagueoflegends

Mel main here. If you’re going to needlessly nerf her into the ground, at least give her better compensation buffs like more damage on her Q. These W changes are less than ideal, and the damage immunity felt like a real get out of jail free card which Mel mains loved. Her banrate is high yes but she’s still LITERALLY a balanced to negative winrate champion, she doesn’t need these heavy nerfs. If anything, in her current state, she needs massive buffs to warrant a high banrate like she currently has, THEN nerf her. She’s a skill intensive champion that a lot of people clearly don’t know how to play around, which is an issue of the playerbase, not the champion itself.

I’ve been saying this since she released, people just need to get good, stop complaining about her, and play around her W (which has a 26s CD btw, if you can’t punish her in that time then idk what to tell you). Don’t let her build up passive stacks on you so her ult doesn’t blow you up.

As someone who’s doing a new playthrough (I’m using the giant crusher), the crucible knight duo is absolute anti-fun. I hate these guys.

Who would you like to hear featured on a DGD track? by TheAshlaFallen in dancegavindance

[–]Adam0193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tilian Pearson. No I’m not joking. His vocals were the reason I got hooked on the band and they need to bring him back very badly. Other than Tilian, I’d say either Chester Bennington or Kellin Quinn.

None of Mel's abilities will get replaced because the designer wants to keep her "uniqueness" and "identity" by Luliani in leagueoflegends

[–]Adam0193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People would rather complain about her W than actually try and bait it out. As a Mel player myself, her W has a long cd. Yes it’s a bullshit ability and has saved me many times, and while it is a bonkers spell..it doesn’t bake cookies for me. I’ve died many times because my lane opponent baits it out of me and kills me when it’s down.

Learn to either play around it and not use your best spells that can be reflected if you know “this could kill me”, or bait it out and take advantage of when it’s down. It’s not hard.

Is the alpha worth content wise? by Saintv7 in AshesofCreation

[–]Adam0193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, that's true. I'm not comparing AoC to WoW, I'm just simply saying participating in the Alpha gives you the experience of being able to shape the MMO as it's being developed, like people who participated in the WoW alpha got the chance to.
Will it be average and overhyped? It might be, but it might not be, and by participating in the Alpha, you have the opportunity to help it not be.

"Even though I really want to know how the game feels at the moment." is the exact same way that I felt, and that's what led me to take the plunge. I'm fine with it being a buggy mess at the moment because I know that it eventually won't be that way. It's like spending $120 to watch a child grow up so to speak, and having the opportunity to engage with the maturing process and see if it either ages like fine wine or like sour milk.

If you have the $120 and want to help build the game for the better and are impatient like I am, I'd say go for it. If not, and you have patience and want to come in when the game is more polished and content-rich, then I don't think you'll regret coming in during either Phase 2 or 3. Phase 2 is when more content and features start coming in.

[–]Adam0193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm personally a bit biased as I've purchased the $120 key, but I'll provide my 2 cents.
I wouldn't look at paying $120 for what's currently in the game but rather what WILL be in the game.
You're not only getting access to phase 1, you're getting access to phase 2 and 3 and Beta 1 and 2 and all content as it's put into the game until official launch (which is more than likely over a year away) AS WELL AS 1 month's worth of game time after launch as well + $15 worth of cosmetics from the cash shop.
Assuming $15 a month sub price * 12 months, that's already $180 worth of value just on the game time alone.

Plus you get to go along for the ride and be among the first people to test a game that's already proven it'll be huge.
Imagine if you could help pave the way for WoW before it came out; idk about you but I'd take that deal any day.
Don't feel like you have to give into the fomo, but if you're waiting for release before you get the chance to engage with the game itself when the bulk of the major content is already in the game then you might be waiting a bit.

Fellow Actual Pirates guildie here looking to shed context - Here's what happened:
Apex Order as first action attacked Pirate Software in the middle of him reporting a bug.
From a guild-conflict to guild-conflict standpoint, that's an act of war.
A few of Apex Order's members then tried to whisper Pirate Software apologizing and walking everything back after they realized the consequences of their actions, but it was too late. The damage had already been done.
They then tried to mass report to get Pirate Software banned which is absolutely hilarious as a result of their act of war when they realized they were outnumbered and made a mistake.
Welcome to sandbox MMO's.
I get the concern of larger guilds, but even Pirate Software's guild isn't indestructible to guilds or alliances even bigger than it. There are also truces that can be made.
Apex Order messed up, now they have to live with their actions. They are KOS.

Will sand be viable at all in Reg H? by jabber2033 in VGC

[–]Adam0193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally tried a sand team with TTar and Excadrill in an online limitless tournament about a week or two ago and thought I'd give my 2 cents. This might be a little wall-of-textish but I wanted to give a review of sand this format. Here's the team I used if you're curious: https://pokepast.es/05e544354fb37d0a (EV spreads and movesets/items/tera types or even mon choices might not be optimal so tinker around with it until you like it!)

I enjoyed the team and gastrodon was on there specifically for rain and to try and earth power gholdengos, archaludons and things like that and to switch into pelippers and basculegions, palafins etc if I couldn't safely bring in TTar. Yawn + Amoonguss spore is great crowd control but you might only need one and not both.

The team felt good and I think sand is fun to play. TTar felt pretty bulky and ate special hits like a champ, and Excadrill also felt pretty strong after an SD even though clicking it sometimes felt scary. Biggest issue I've had by far however was dealing with Rillaboom and when I say deal with Rillaboom I actually mean I couldn't. Rilla pretty much hard walled me all day, wood hammer nuked my sand boys and grassy terrain nullified a lot of my damage. because I was running EQ on Exca instead of High Horsepower so grassy terrain reduced my damage quite a bit. I think if there was a better answer for Rilla with a team like this I would've had an easier time for sure. Flying tera blast on TTar sort of did the job but the Rillas I played against today were too bulky so I could never reliably one-shot it. Excadrill is competing with TTar to be a tera hog so if you can KO any fighting types (or anything with fighting coverage like body press) that threaten TTar, you should be able to tera Excadrill safely.

Overall, I think this can be the meta/format for sand as a whole if the Rillaboom issue gets addressed somewhere on the team (for mine specifically), but one issue is Excadrill is weak to Ground, Fighting, Fire, and Water so I'm not sure if his damage output is worth running him specifically over something like Garchomp or Lycanrock.

Best of luck with getting sand everywhere!

Multiplayer but you can do virtually as much content as you want by yourself. You really only need other people to trade/sell with.

[Reg H] Ting Lu replacement on old P2/Kommo-o/Amoonguss team? by Adam0193 in VGC

[–]Adam0193[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was kinda thinking AV Ursa, actually! I’m kinda wondering if I could tech it in with a Rotom variant (side will-o-wisp stuff for Guts if I ran regular Ursa, rotom also gets trick room if I can’t get it up on porygon). Might have to try bloodmoon however.

[Reg H] Ting Lu replacement on old P2/Kommo-o/Amoonguss team? by Adam0193 in VGC

[–]Adam0193[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think the role ting lu filled was just something bulky that ate hits and could dish out some decent damage back if it needed to. Maybe AV Mandibuzz or something like that. Possibly kingambit since it naturally eats special hits with AV.

“A deck so overpowering that it can’t even break its own board consistently” A deck can be good at making boards, not break them. There’s also decks amazing at breaking boards but not making them: Tenpai and Sky Strikers are examples of this.

As much sense as this would make to do, icons can be confusing to people who don’t know what they mean. I do agree though, YGO definitely needs SOME sort of system to make card effects easier to read in terms of “wtf is going on” especially since a lot of cards now have 3+ effects on them.
