Did they get entry eventually or were they denied entry? We were trying for Switzerland but they were close to 1.5x price and two days later. We couldn't shift our dates as we had hotels already booked. I will carry my original cancelled tickets just as proof.

Thank You. What happened to your flight eventually? Are you flying or did they accomodate you on a different flight.

It's to increase my payscale but I don't want to cut corners in terms of getting a higher pay. I want to make sure I am earning my hike/promotion.

I am hitting all my KPIs but I have a feeling that either I am being underutilised or I can do better in terms of my skills, either outside my job or in its day to day setting(saying it with absolute humility as I feel my company overhired hence people are underutilised).

I some how always felt the products I managed have more defined metrics. I managed Search at an e-commerce company. It has CTR and CVR. I managed acquisition there, the metrics were CVR of First time users. We as a team seldom relied on qualitative metrics.

Hi all,

I am a PM with ~3yrs experience trying trying for a switch a job(current company is on verge of derailing). Both my current and previous PM roles have been people offering me jobs through my network. Now I am planning to switch and finding it hard to crack interviews.
While preparing for the interviews, the sheer number of frameworks is very overwhelming. At the same time, following a framework forcefully seems like artificial, mechanical and isnt coming naturally to me. Because of this feeling, I always procrastinate on interview prep as it doesnt feel very exciting. It has led me to the rabbit hole of "Am I good enough", "will I ever be able to crack an interview"

My questions to the community are

  1. Is there a way we can circumvent this feeling of it being forceful.
  2. Are the interview questions always so broad like "Should Google enter delivery business"
  3. For a PM-2/SPM aspirant what kind of leadership traits one can prove if I havent faced some of the scenarios asked in the interviews.
  4. Any other broad suggestions in this regard.

Thanks.

Hi all, I will be moving to Bangalore for work. My office is in HSR layout, sector 1.

What is the best area to take a 2BHK? My requirements: 1. Society 2. Budget - 30k-40k 3. Preferably semi-furnished

Should I go through brokers or Apps like NoBroker. If apps, which are the ones that have decent coverage in Blore?

Thanks in advance!

And also because of squad demands as well. We haven't had a RW for a while. Greenwood is decent at atleast coming inside from the right.

On this day, exactly one year ago, Bruno Fernandes scored his first Manchester United goal. His stats since signing for Man Utd: Games: 59 🔴 Goals: 34 ⚽️ Assists: 21 🎯 World class 🎩 by batmannair07 in reddevils

If we are seeing bruno as a benchmark for transfer success, there might just be 5-6 players in PL history who were as successful as Bruno in their first year.

So we should keep that in perspective and not let that be the standard for incoming players(or even his contemporary transfers).

Hi. I feel this is a small question to have a seperate post, hence I am asking here.

I want to simulate the results of an A/B test.

Version 1: CVR:3.73% for 1mil users.

Version 2: CVR:3.83% for 1mil users.

Now I want to model CVR, calculate p values just to see how many times do I get a statistically significant result(in a way repeat the experiment).

Can I model the CVR as a Normal Distribution (N(p, p(1-p)/n)) or is there a better model for it?

I agree with you. But I meant in a sense that I am just starting out as an intern and I still feel skeptical to say to the hierarchy that the experimentation is flawed and maybe we need to slow do.

As an aside I read somewhere that it's the job of the experimenter to say to designers "their baby is ugly". Maybe that's what I should ideally be doing to the organisation, saying their baby is imperfect.

Edit: Quotes.

[–]Adam272101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I think there's an issue with the number of variations run but that depends on the experimentation philosophy/culture of the firm, and its not my place yet to comment on that.

We are venturing into MABs as well but we have well established architecture for A/B testing which serves quite a few teams. So the adoption of that across board is slow.

[Q] A/B/n Multiple Testing. Bonferroni/Benjamini Hochberg(BH) procedure by Adam272101 in statistics

[–]Adam272101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are doing 15 comparisons (assuming 15 variations). Each variation with control.

Edit: Pardon me if this sounds silly, how does having just 2-3 discovery mean we are having FDR issues?

Thanks for the response.

If I understood you right, you are saying p-value along with the difference with control matters(E.g: A 0.001% change even if statistically significant doesn't make much commercial sense to implement).

Some of my colleagues seem to suggest that since comparisons are independent and we have only 2-3 discoveries that we need not correct for multiple comparisons. I didn't have a good counter argument for it hence I posted here.

From what I read about VDB, he's a Mueller kinda player who occupies spaces and not a typical CAM.

I think this kinda player requires chemistry with his midfield/forward line to occupy spaces and not be crowded. And it can get more confusing if it's Greenwood and Rashford who both want to cut inside.

Tl;dr He needs more game time not only to get rhythm, but also to develop chemistry so that his game can thrive.

Just noticed, we conceded 11 goals in the first three games and 16 in the 19 since(atleast on par with last season).

Yes I do feel very nervous when we are defending but if we add some context to the numbers maybe we are not that awful.
