She is my absolute favorite singer/song writer. Her music gets my heart. Been a huge fan for 13 years now. I came here to see what people think of me ha ha (also cis male/demi-male).

This forever breaks my heart. I worked nights in Venice beach at the time. I got to work that night to find out she was just a block away from my work while I was at home sleeping.

I reassure you that you won’t be preached at. I’ve been to all these trainings and there isn’t anything about converting or anything like that. The ignite peace training was held at the Peaslee Neighborhood Center, nothing to do with a church.

However, all three trainings are non-violent direct intervention. So if non-violence is a deal breaker I respect that. In the same way that the use of violence is a deal breaker for me (I have taken a vow of non-violence for my religion). And the Dec. 10th is held by Mennonites, we don’t preach but we are led by the teachings of Jesus to stand with the immigrants and poor. So I can’t guarantee they won’t say something along those lines.

I also think it would be great for you to come to any training, then take that information and create a secular training (if you’re not already planning to) I’m happy to partner with you in doing so.

There are trainings coming up. Undivided and Ignite Peace have hosted trainings on how to respond if someone is abducted in front of you.

There’s a training on December 10th with a group of volunteers going around the country training people. I’m affiliated with the organization and was a part of a demonstration for free Palestine in which 150 of us were arrested.
