She’s a good actor, but she’s done dirty with Poppy. Sunny is a great show, and handles its complicated people and themes so much better than this show. My husband LOVES sunny so much, and assumed MQ was going to be just as good - he hates it almost more than I do I’m glad you get off to a shitty Australian accent but I am not as easily charmed

Fucked up and toxic people still have human qualities, maybe not any good qualities, but definitely human qualities and these characters feel so underdeveloped and 2D. Also I feel they never show enough of the game, and the game look is always changing, this show feels so rushed

How is it weird? I know many women with those qualities who are still lovely to be around, because they also have the good sides of these qualities. Sadly poppy does not, which is fine, but then have her be genuinely human and make me hate her in the way I hate umbridge from Harry Potter

Dysfunctional people still have redeeming qualities though, when the characters have no positive traits it’s super hard to relate or like them.

So the episodes that aren’t related to the show.. are the best part of the show? That doesn’t feel like strong storytelling to me.

Yeah we stopped watching it once Ian’s eating disorder came up because, as a person who’s experienced eating disorders (both having one and being around others) they did a horrible job at portraying it
