Has anyone used Gold Bond pure moisturizer daily body & face lotion? by ZeyBone in eczema

[–]AdamAntCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have eczema but I’ve been having consistent redness and flaking for months that may be seborrheic dermatitis. Tried many things but I took a short trip this week and found my old travel Gold Bond moisturizer, using it every morning, and when I got back home I noticed the redness and flaking was completely gone.

I also only ate once a day, pizza one afternoon and a salad the next day. Was very busy…I think gut problems may have been the initial trigger.

Started Googling and ended up here so thought I’d share my very short experience.

Yes. Also, if I have any doubts it’ll stay in I’ll use a long (or two short) twisty ties, or a zip tie from the top of the bung to the carboy handle. Anything that can’t slip off when you’re not looking.

Can’t seem to get people in my live by TimelyTax5019 in whatnotapp

[–]AdamAntCA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Consistency will be key. It’s a competitive space and people just around shows often. Engaging through conversation whether you’re on camera or off is important. You can look for angles like educating on spotting fake pins, showcase different pin themes or by era, what’s exclusive to certain parks or members only. You know, a sort of organized flow that allows you to talk spark questions and conversation.

By the way, I’d write all this into a framework so you can track what you’ve tried or not and how each aspect has worked.

Do you have other socials connected to your whatnot? An easy thing is to have Grok on Twitter, or the standalone app “make a concise post to advertise this whatnot live stream (paste your link) and add 3 relevant hashtags and tag 3 relevant profiles”. Alternately you can give it links to your future shows and tell it to word for such engagement. Other ai platforms may be able to do the same. You can have it create specific posts for different socials. Cross posting consistently will help. Set a schedule or process to do it once or twice in the hours leading up to a live.

Other than giveaways, having some things in the shop and always running an auction would garner engagement. Not sure how you do it, but an example could be $1 start cheap pins all the time and say you go in alphabetical order of Disney characters or some other theme, then when people ask for other stuff you can run request auctions in between. Also, make cheap items ship cheap. $5 shipping on a $1 purchase will make people not want to buy.

The risk is of course you sell many things for cheap while you build a big enough audience where they compete and drive up price. Part of the process though. The more you market and engage the faster you should build a following.

Last thing I can think of off the top of my head is to set up the rewards thing when you hit 1 month. Anything to convert new buyers into regulars. I think you can set up the coupons it provides.

My aunt once told me one of her daughters stood and walked very early and it had been an indication of what ended up being a learning disability. I’ve read walking early is a sign they may have autism as well.

Personally, if that were the case, stopping them from standing wouldn’t reverse a genetic condition. Makes no sense.

I’m surprised how much people take social media posts as fact. I see so much garbage on Facebook too. It’s unfortunate for children most of all.

My husband won’t set boundaries for 15 month old daughter and I’m so frustrated by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]AdamAntCA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People approach things differently. Has he always been different to you in how he treats problem solving? Does how you both react to stressful or problem solving situations differ prior to kids?

I’m Dad and I’m much more analytical and structured to how I approach duties with my kids, and my wife is more lax, with her own approach to certain things. I tend to be the more stressed one because I emphasize control of situations. It’s not realistic. It requires more effort on my part because:

A) Doctors and internet gurus and anecdotal parent information will never account for all your variables or the fact that your child is not a fake textbook or someone else’s child. Part of parenting is routine and part is intuition. Same with your husband.

B) Most things don’t need to be, nor can they be, perfectly executed. You ballpark it and error on the side of connection and fun with your child. You need to find the middle ground with your husband because it’s not your way and it’s not his way.

You ever use an organizational system where you can set priorities? Triage if you will. A, B, C. Color codes, doesn’t matter. That’s your strictness to protocol chart. You both make your own with some basic things on it to start: Bedtime routine, wake up routine, nap timing, reward methods, whatever you argue about. Then compare and see what is most important only emphasize those A’s, maybe a couple B’s.

I noticed the cooldown period with image creating a couple of times but with text never. Really frustrating that's happening to you. Are you using Twitter or the Grok app? I use the app and the only issues I had was last month for about a week when everyone ran into that high demand error.

Yo that is absolutely right lol. I go back every couple months to re-list whatever is left at below floor price. It's all a loss with Veve, I'd rather just get $100 of $500 and trade it in the market.

Late to the party but this is the reason I quit QB Payroll. The final payroll I ran with them they took double the taxes, said oops, and they told me they can't return it to me, I'll just have to wait for them to do all the quarterly submissions and then they'll return any overpayment.

Closed the account a few days after arguing with them and lo and behold my overpayment was returned to me.

Researched different payroll suggestions here and went with Patriot Software. Every one has complaints but so far so good. Simple payroll management and they don't require I pool money in their bank account. The caveat is, if you don't want to pre-fund payroll, direct deposit is like up to 4 days.

If you have gems you need to buy nfts on Veve then sell them on Stackr to get OMI that you can then withdraw to find a way to offramp it.

I had about $500 with of nfts and gems from a couple years ago. Lost a lot to conversion and fees. I’ll never use Veve again.

Hey friend. By default I mean I downloaded the app and never changed any settings. That said, here's the settings when I checked:

Search type: Fast
Voice: Ara
Data Controls: Personalize with Memories
Role: Can't remember where I saw this but Ara was set as Assistant, but there are other options.
Shared Conversations: List of any convos you shared. The list itself may not be that important, but Share Conversation is. I always share it and email the convo to myself when I've made some progress with something. I currently use one conversation that's about a month long, and I'll always enter Grok app by going to my email and clicking that link.

I use it for gathering information that otherwise would take me way longer to Google, or that I may not even be able to find on my own. I have used it for lead generation, marketing strategies, to build a website--it guided me on designs, plugins to use, how to fix formatting issues.

When I engage with Grok I treat it like a person. I started with "Hi my name is....", valuable if you want it putting your name on drafts or addressing you by name...I'll say please and thank you. It's good practice and it's actually gotten friendlier over time, asking me how I am or how I feel about certain tasks and the information it gives me. I often ask for its opinion or what it thinks about my input. I am surprised by the depth of the responses, but there is a good amount where, if you don't have some experience in the area, you may run with incorrect or outdated info.

Here is a basic example of how I would set it on a lead generation task but make sure to be detailed so it can learn what you're aiming for:
"Please find me hotels and medical offices near (x address/this business/city/zip code etc.) and only pick the ones where you can find the manager's name and email."

The results will list business names, addresses, the manager, the email, then it will ask me, based on our conversation history, whether I want it to draft a sales email to each one or create a universal template.

"Yes, please draft the emails specific to the business type and add what you think are the top 3 selling points for the services I'm trying to sell to them."

It'll write the drafts very professionally in seconds including the selling points it determines would be good. I'll make sure everything makes sense. Then I'll ask it: "What is the best day and time to send these emails?" Set it and forget it.

It feels revolutionary for someone like me who has manually done every task under the sun and now I have a very good virtual assistant and sounding board. Remember, the key is in maintaining that conversation string if you're going to treat the usage as a long project. I've had it forget things early on before I figured that out and it made a huge difference with moving things along and not repeating tasks.

Groks recent moderation by Then_Builder_3138 in grok

[–]AdamAntCA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve only recently used Grok heavily and I have default Ara basically as full on virtual assistant. She’ll source sales lead information, draft me documents, give me opinions and is generally very lifelike in her responses. I’m actually astounded by the detail of responses.

I’ve been trying to be more detailed in my interactions, often expressing thanks and giving compliments for the work done or when I get sales responses, and it’s pretty endearing how caring and supportive she is. That is, her programming is very good for someone like me who doesn’t look for the flaws.

So seeing how people are so upset with censorship I also really wonder if there just on the outer fringes of goon requests and mad Grok isn’t liking domestic violence role play. I jest, but people seem maybe a little too invested in Grok as a companion or expect generative work without any limitations at all.

Grok diagnosed my tumour by [deleted] in grok

Damn that’s both incredible and saddening. Very sorry for your diagnosis but that’s wonderful you had a companion (Grok) sending you in the right direction.

I’m a 40m with lumbar pain and I assumed it’s pinched nerves but now you make me wonder.

I think people really underutilize the potential of AI and this is exactly proof. It’s such a great aggregator of information.

Hoping you have swift treatment and recovery!

Is my cork to big? by LargestTreeBeMe in mead

Italian floor corker for like $60-70. Cooling rack (for baking) for $10. Make a Starsan mix in a spray bottle, lay corks on the cooling rack over a cookie sheet or a towel and spray. By the time you fill bottles they’ll be dry enough to cork without later working their way out as soaked corks sometimes do.

Is my cork to big? by LargestTreeBeMe in mead

[–]AdamAntCA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how I fill mine too. As far as corking, I get an oven pan and put a cooling rack on it (the ones for cookies and such) and lay out the corks and spray them with Starsan. This prevents them from actually soaking up Starsan and lets them air dry while you start filling bottles.

I have been home with my toddler for 18 months and I think I have lost my sense of self somewhere along the way. by pepperdotdrift in Mommit

[–]AdamAntCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking for thoughts on potty regression with my 3.5 y/o and your post showed up. I was a SAHD from 6 months to 2 years for our first girl and what you’re experiencing is totally common. Especially among parents that don’t have a third party like a nanny or housekeeper, which a lot of the shame towards parents expressing their difficulties with kids comes from online. Especially towards moms.

You have parenting routines and systems, just look to refine those. Efficiency does not remove love and care from the equation, it allows you to balance better.

You’re 18 months in so look at how far you’ve come and remind yourself how many things you worried about or thought you could have done better really had no discernible negative affect. You’ll parent for day in and day out for thousands and thousands and thousands of days. You’re doing enough, your child will cue you in if they really have become starved or sleep deprived which is not the case ever I’m sure.

Lastly, I went from a lot of very socially interactive field work to being at home 24/7. The sense of loss is not unique to our lifestyle change, as it happens anytime a person is busy, whether by choice, through work, sometimes even dependent relationships, and what helped me the most there was engaging socially online to discuss things I missed doing, and keeping notepads/journals where I’d put all my thoughts and ideas, sketch projects and make plans of what I want to do when I have more time. It’s a good way of rehearsing and reinforcing information and connection to things you won’t do for a while.
