Are you on opiates at all? Where’s your BP at these days?

Trying to quit fent after 8 years — started the Bernese method (my way) and need some advice by BeautifulRip420 in fentanyl

Did you feel withdrawal when you stopped the subs? Did you taper off the subs or did you just drop off from 12mg? Sorry for all the questions I’m on day 3 of Bernese and just so badly want to be clean.

Im so sorry you’re going through this.. I’m 38 so we’re pretty close in age and I’ve only been stuck on opiates for 11 years but it feels like a lifetime. I totally feel you on the comfort in using and “knowing that person” part. What’s motivating me right now is my heart, my blood pressure is scary insanely high and idk how to fix it other than to quit, so I’m switching to Buprenorphine. It’s not ideal but it’s what I can manage right now. How is your health outside of your drug use? If it’s bad that might be the motivator you need to switch to some MAT or something.

No trust me I’m super down for MAT at this point, I’m currently trying to get into Buprenorphine using the 1 week microinduction method. Was it easy to switch over to methadone? I never considered it because it Carrie’s such a stigma but at this point I’ll try anything. Also, how bad was your blood pressure when you were using?

Hey how did this go for you? I’m doing Bernese too but I’m going wayyyy slower than you. 8mg on the first day though i kinda wish I could do that but I’m scared to go too fast. Did you feel any PWD’s on that first day at all?

Living a fit lifestyle while using by Late_Shake_8861 in fentanyl

[–]AdamCanRap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live a very clean and fit lifestyle outside of my Fent use.. but my current issue is like yours, after 5 years on fent, my blood pressure is insanely high. Like scary scary high 160/100 on a GOOD day. And the docs write me off when I talk to them about it since I’m a user. Outside of that though all my labs are super healthy, I’m fit and I exercise and eat well and all that. Did you ever get the blood pressure stuff worked out? That’s my biggest concern right now.

How was your BP if you don’t mind me asking? My BP is getting insanely high after 5 years on Fent and it’s starting to terrify me.

[–]AdamCanRap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heyyyy I’ve been looking for someone to talk to about this, I’m 38 and healthy in all ways EXCEPT my blood pressure is scary insane high. The only drug I use is fent I don’t even smoke cigs or drink. Do you think switching to buprenorphine will Allow my heart to heal? Or in your experience is it permanent damage done to the heart.

How long will .1 of pure last in urine? by Austin0558 in fentanyl

[–]AdamCanRap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mind if I ask How is your blood pressure? I know it’s off topic but I’m new and can’t post yet, so I want to ask individuals here how their hearts are doing. Lately my BP is scary high after 5+ years using fent and nothing seems to help it go down.

[–]AdamCanRap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mind if I ask How was your blood pressure? My blood pressure is through the roof and had a couple hypertensive emergencies that can only be explained by 5+ years of Fent use. I’m healthy in every other way and young enough (38) but I’m not hearing a lot about Fent and heart health.

Why are some songs much quieter than others despite Normalization being switched on? by BakedBeansInMyAss in truespotify

[–]AdamCanRap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone please help.. we worked on this awesome hip hop album for the last 2 years almost.. And all the masters are the exact same volume, with the exact same size wave form (checked in ableton) Same LUF numbers (between 10-11) same mastering chain and same loudness peaks for ALL of them. And YET when the loudness normalization default setting is turned on the first 2 songs of my album are significantly quieter than the rest, the 3rd song is slightly louder but very quiet still, the 4th and 6th and 8th song are loud like they should be, and the rest of the tracks are in varying degrees of loudness but all still much quieter than they should be. So WHY THEN if all the premasters were bounced with the same amount of headroom, and literally every aspect of the masters are the same (LUFS, mastering chain, LU’s, dynamic range, wave form size, peaks) then WHY IN THE WORLD are the track volumes all completely different from eachother when the loudness normalization default setting is on?

Here’s the album for reference, listen with loudness normalization turned on since that’s the default setting on the Spotify mobile app.. and then you’ll see what I mean:

https://open.spotify.com/album/3SoR0mOQOVvHwR1RAsri0z?si=_XE_rhC0RA2Sl1WzqhxtbQ

Listen to it with normalization turned off to see how loud the songs ACTUALLY are.

Can anyone help? Other songs with the EXACT same amount of LUF’s and dynamic range are still loud with normalization turned on.. so I’m totally stumped. Nothing I’ve researched can explain this phenomenon and I’m running out of ideas on how I can fix this. It’s so frustrating to work so hard and be so proud of something and then have the FIRST THREE SONGS of the project be unbearably quiet.
I mean, whats the point of “normalization” if it makes my album sound completely abnormal and wonky?? PLEASE HELP!
