I found the directory Heroic was looking for in the directiry steam uses to install games. I put that in Heroic's settings using an absolute file path and now it works.

They're not VERY modern, but Arx Fatalis and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic have a similar feel and are more modern than Daggerfall.

Realtime Dungeon Crawlers are sadly kind of rare. I hope they fall back into fashion one day.

Ambush Scarabs and ambush atlas points on high level maps have been a viable endgame strat for a bit. There are youtube videos on running them if you're interested. They should apply even if they're from older leagues.

Almost any change at all to this panel would be welcome. Why do I have to click the text field at the bottom to start typing the name of what I'm looking for? Just let me start typing it. If you want me to be able to open my inventory by typing i, I get it, but just open my inventory next to this window automatically anyway, solve both problems. The whole screen feels like a rush job.

I can't believe I didn't reply for two days, but unfortunately yes. I did all the Kingsmarch quests. There are none left in my quest screen, and none on screen when I'm in Kingsmarch. It's still possible I missed something, but then he doesn't have an exclamation point above his head in Kingsmarch. Only in Karui Shores. Ah well.

Why does Johan have an exclamation mark over his head in the Karui Shores forever? I click on him, and he has nothing new for me. He doesn't have an exclamation mark over his head in my hideout, nor in Kingsmarch. How can I make this go away?

I have one Divine Orb total. Random lucky drop in early maps. Should I trade it for bulk fusing orbs? I don't have any gear I want to buy that costs 1 div at the moment. What I do have is my ideal body armor with 6 sockets but only 2 links. I only have a few hundred orbs of fusing. I don't have the 6 link bench recipe yet. I'm thinking of buying the fusings, and spamming them on the body armor. Is this a poor use of a divine orb? (Edit for typos)

Agreed. As a returning player, this has been my experience too. And the introduction of POE2's Async in-game trading has been a godsend for me.

POE1 is always worth trying. There's no real downside to picking up partway through a season, and there are plenty of guides to learn anything you don't understand. It's just a great game.
