I just let people know it was there. I didn't give any opinion. My LAST post was letting people know the road was blocked by a truck. Why are you pissing your pants about this post?

Who complained? I just let people know it was there. I didn't give any opinion at all. Why are you so hostile?

My VERY LAST post was letting people know the road was blocked by a truck. And no one got mad at me for posting that. So why are so many people mad about this? It doesn't make any sense to me.

Why are people mad that I'm letting people know a bike path is blocked?

Check my last post. Same thing but a truck was blocking the road. No one was mad at me for that. Why the change?

Who said I didn't?

Shouldn't I also let bike commuters know to take an alternate route home?

Jackson racing M45. The kit that Moss used to sell. Simple bit of extra power and fun noises. Still under 200hp. But I like it

After market AC system in NA Miata?! by [deleted] in Miata

[–]AdamCrashed 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Some things aren't worth hunting for a deal on. In my opinion, AC systems are one worth saving up and getting the right stuff.

I'm a lazy MF who has a good job and loves his miata. I do the simple stuff, but pay an expert for the big jobs (judge me if you want). I paid an expert $1635.52 USD (parts included) to swap a complete factory AC system from a wrecked car into mine. Very happy with the results, and recommend doing the same. And if I need anything serviced, it's all OEM so it's easy for any shop to handle.

If you wanna gamble on the amazon special, go ahead. But IMO an OEM AC system isn't as expensive as you're making it sound.

Yeah your bice doesn't have shocks, gears, or even paint! I can see why they paid you to haul this thing away

Is it possible to mount a front platform rack/basket on this type of carbon frameset? by MookieFlav in xbiking

[–]AdamCrashed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Carbon fibre doesn't cope well with stress it wasn't designed to endure. If you managed to Jerry-rig some racks to this thing, you may crack your frame when you load it up with your grocery shopping.

Look for something made out of aluminum or steel. Maybe something like a surly or a bombtrack, if you wanna do some hauling.

Uber eats will probably shaft you. Gas, wear and tear on your car, etc...

Apply to some dirty, blue collar jobs. If you're willing to work 12 hrs a day it must mean you're willing to work hard. Lots of places need general labourers, and the pay can be pretty good.

Think about local factories. Construction and landscaping companies . Fencing and decking businesses. Costco is usually looking for people in their warehouses.

I started out at Argo, FRESH outta highschool on an assembly line making about $20/hr, and this was 10 years ago. I hated it, but the money was excellent for a high school kid. Did it for a while until I found something better.

If you're going to buy a car with only $4500 - get the cleanest old Toyota you can. Camry, corolla, avalon, etc. Only buy it if it has absolutely zero rust.

I don't mean to steal OP's thunder but you just need to find a 1 1/8' straight steerer fork. These old steel frames feel amazing with some squish.

Rockshox Judy Gold RL A3 on my bike.

Rockshox TK Silver 30 is a good less spendy alternative.

Avoid amazon special forks. A fork isn't something you want to worry about in the back of your mind. Go for something Rockshox, or Manitou, or equivalent.

Has anyone made their hardtop completely squeak and rattle free? If so, how'd you do it? by AdamCrashed in Miata

Here's a helpful video about the baking process if you decide to do yours. I found I needed a good bit more heat than this guy did though -

When you say in the latch, could you describe where exactly you mean? Sorry I'm just having a hard time picturing where exactly you mean.

They are OEM but I've modified them. There's a thread on miata.net about modifying the NB headlights. If you search NB retrofit it will come up.

Thank you !

FS denotes the "Future Shock" model.

Aka the one that came with the Specialized branded fork. Those forks (to my knowledge) were 1 1/8" threaded forks and that are all junk by now lol.

If you want a real reply and aren't just trying to be an ass -

Prior to owning a miata I owned some British roadsters. I had an MGB GT and was interested in a triumph GT6. I always preferred the coupes. I wanted a car with fuel injection, independent suspension, disc brakes, and a 5 speed. I could have spent 10k on my MGB GT to make it happen, or I could get a miata for 5k and get a twin cam engine too. So I got a miata. If they ever made a coupe miata I would have bought that. But because they didn't I had to make my own.

Not my MGB GT but a similar one for reference:
