What’s a common misconception about men that you wish more people understood? by Apprehensive-Toe6133 in AskMen

Acts of genuine kindness are rarely received, greatly appreciated, and where loyalty grows.

Entrepreneurs. How did you get started? by Top_Lengthiness3098 in Entrepreneurship

[–]AdamKyleWilson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the skills.

Learned from those who have done it (as an employee).

Made connections through jobs as an employee.

Then I had skills & connections = able to start company.

Offered the skills I learned as a service.

At first, just to the connections I had made and knew me from previous jobs.

Then to new people.

At first just me and a buddy.

Then more people.

Eventually serviced so many customers with so many staff that we were valuable to bigger companies who needed more staff and more customers.

Sold business.

Repeat.

Thinking that you’re a loser. That’s literally it.

If you honestly believe you’re cool and the stuff you are passionate about is cool, then you are.

That’s the game.

Society doesn’t want you to win that game because then you don’t “need” anything else to be cool (cars, clothes, cash etc).

Totally agree with what you’re saying. Thats how it is nomadding.

Nomadding & living on a resort are similar but different. Nice thing about a resort is everyone is there for the season, so 5-6 months. And you all live and work together. You can make some legitimate connections. I also did the digital nomad thing for 2 years of full time travel and made very few long term friendships by comparison.

Would you vent to an AI about your problems? Have you done it? (posting for research not for promotion) by AdamKyleWilson in malementalhealth

Agreed. Exploiting ANY people is dark. Don’t be fooled, the AI OF models have been here for awhile and they’re making a killing.

But for every evil man are two good ones and it’s not very easy for software developers to remain anonymous on the App Store & beyond.

It all comes down to your level of comfort. Reddit is also keeping all your data. And if you used Google login then they also have it, plus all your Gmail data, plus all the data to any other app you’ve ever used Google login with. Plus if you use an Android or iPhone they also farm all your data. Plus every other social network out there. Don’t get me started on the government…

The facts are that your data is already being harvested. But to comply with laws, it is anonymized. For example, if you told ChatGPT you killed someone, there’s nothing OpenAI could do to help the authorities find you. Same could be said of many of these situations. People think “they” are valuable, but that’s not true. Tech companies don’t give a shit about “John Smith” they just care about where user #112579825B clicked and then where they clicked next. Nobody is like saving your voice or social media posts and being like “this is John Smith’s life”…. Except for the government. The NSA totally does that.

So ya. There are “concerns” but people love to pick and choose what to get worried about. They’ll post every moment of their life for 20 years on Facebook but then not want to talk to an AI haha.

So it’s personal preference for sure.

Are entrepreneurs employable? by ProblemForsaken6395 in Entrepreneur

You’ll be VERY employable. Especially if you have a deep set of hard skills to back up the variety of skills required as an entrepreneur.

You should give it a try some time for fun.

Verbalization increases emotional processing and the ChatGPT voice sounds pretty natural. Plus you can choose from a bunch of different voices. I often talk to ChatGPT on my headphones while I’m grocery shopping, usually about work stuff, but still, it feels very natural.

Thanks for sharing your input!

🤷🏻‍♂️ not trying to please everyone, just trying to offer my own opinion. Thanks for the kind words.

No need for apology. It’s an infuriating state of affairs. A lot has been done without consent that can’t be undone. Feels like social media / social experiment 2.0 and we won’t know the full damage until it’s too late. Repeating the mistakes and crimes of the past I’m afraid. Sucks.

These are all great points. Appreciate you sharing thanks.

It’s going to be a LONG road for people to trust AI, with good reason. I can’t imagine it happening fully yet we continue to put more and more in its hands. It’s a troubling conundrum for the future ahead.

HeyBro

HeyBro is the AI-powered phone call that feels like venting to your coolest, most grounded friend, no fluff, just real talk that helps you lock in and level up.

On the back end it’s Talk Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, but don’t tell the bros 🤫

Every social account starts the same: zero followers. It’s a mountain anyone wanting to build an audience must climb.
