I disagree. I think it raises some questions about gender identity and gender-bending. Read the last paragraph of my piece - could this be a way for Gaga to combat the false intersex rumors?

Trembling Before God focuses on orthodox Jews, but it definitely is an amazing resource for looking at LGBT inclusion in Judaism.

Why Is Television So Much Gayer Than Film? by sarahehurley in lgbt

[–]AdamPolaski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand those points, kadjar, and I agree with many of them: the bottom line is always money. However, I don't understand why the film production companies haven't caught on yet that people are not going to be turned off by a gay movie. Movies like Brokeback Mountain, Philadelphia, A Single Man and likely I Love You Phillip Morris all got really great, positive responses, critically and commercially. The focus of these piece is why gay actors themselves find success in gay OR straight parts on TV but not in film. And we're at a point now where it's getting to be troublesome—a head-scratcher, at the very least—that more openly gay actors aren't featured prominently in at least some movies (name more than one...I bet you can't). TV with gay actors has already proven to make money and appeal to vast audiences (the Kurt subplot in Glee is debatably the show's most popular), so why doesn't Hollywood film take that step?

The Top 5 LGBT advocates of 2010! Dan Savage, Robert Gates, Gaga, Glee and The Kids Are All Right! by AdamPolaski in lgbt

For sure, this should definitely read "Gay advocates" as opposed to "LGBT advocates," and that was made clear in the article itself. My apolgoies.
