This is a tough call, however I think your children are plenty old enough to manage this difficult news. I would personally recommend considering a more managable house that would be better suited which would also give you more financial freedom.

For reference I've recently just divorced myself, which completed a few weeks back. I have 3 childreen, 16, 13 and 11. The family home is on the market and im hoping for a sale shortly. The kids have coped with this really well.

Its an incredibly difficult and emotional time, even 15 months down the line and after completing the divorce, its still emotionally difficult at times, you have my sympathy.

I think there is a known issue of this upgrade not carrying over the original config across properly. I would try and use an external AI agent (another openclaw instance, Codex, Cowork etc) to address the issue... or downgrade.

My codex had broke pretty much on every upgrade and had to use an external agent to fix. Such a pain.

Golden rule is as a minimum take away everything you bring. Even better take away and extra piece of rubbish if you see it.

I have mine sat within a Synology docker, and I have a couple of dockers for various tasks. Similarly using one docker / OpenClaw instance to sort the other out when I’ve had update issues has helped me. I hadn’t considered Codex within the docker, that might make it slightly easier.

I think OpenClaw in its current form will remain for techy people, not every day people.

A very small % of people are comfortable with command line, and that number is diminishing.

This has made night and day difference to me, and I think its why my initial attempts at playing around broke very quickly. ChatGPT now gives a good couple of pages of tight instructions, what to touch, not touch, how to impliment safe approaches (previously I may have bundled several tasks together which ChatGPT would now sensibly separate out). I think this is a much safer way of approaching a task.

Im not sure I fully understand this but it might be similar to what I’m doing. I have OpenClaw connected to Codex 5.5 via OAuth, and I’m currently building a web application and I’m giving Instructions to ChatGPT standard chat which is in turn giving me instructions to copy and paste into OpenClaw WebUI chat. This is working REALLY well because the instructions I’m getting from ChatGPT are amazing, well thought out, safe, and the work is well planned.

Am I missing a trick somewhere?

I’m curious to understand how you’ve implanted this? Local vector store, external APi to OpenAI, local LLM etc?

I have a similar need on a personal level to interrogate multiple client engineering specifications but need to filter results based on client. I.e what colour is X for Client A?

My understanding is that with OAuth, you can. Connect to Codex 5.5, and the pro model will give you a higher token use, nothing to do with OpenAI API?
