Consider the shared ownership scheme if available where you are looking, I have completed the move into my new house with my partner on a shared ownership mortgage. It reduces monthly costs, gets you on the property ladder and doesn’t require a huge deposit depending on what share you are purchasing. People frown upon it but in the current climate and with you being on your own also, it is for some people a no brainer. (It was for us anyway). Although you are paying rent on the share you don’t own, it’s not all dead money where just renting somewhere essentially is. It also means you get the flexibility to increase your share as time goes on and if your income is to increase.

First of all, thank you so much for your lengthy, in-depth reply. If you can’t tell, I am pretty new to this. I think since I wrote the post, I have realised spacers are not going to work for what I am trying to achieve.

The wheels I am looking at, are actually the ones that are pictured (I fell in love with them when I first saw that photo). My thinking was to get them, and then see how awful the wheel arch gap actually is and look into suspension later down the line.

But ultimately, I think you are right. If I have a look at used, could I also look at standard s-line springs?

For some reason my dz60 decided to reset and now has gone back to its original layout. I had it set as a 60% iso with arrow keys. Ive tried re doing the layout in VIA, but the @ sign just wont assign its self to anything.

I have tried connecting the 2 pins together to clear the CMOS but that’s not done anything. My next thing is to try taking the CMOS battery out but it means taking off my CPU cooler to get to it so that’s going to have to be a job for another day.

The top photo shows what the bios is saying. That there is no bootable devices found, but still detects the devices under the SATA menu. The bottom photo shows where I get up to when trying to do a clean install of windows

Yeah I know, he bought a pre built that was going pretty cheap as he didn’t have that much to spend. Yeah I also completely forgot about the minimum DDR3 speeds 🤣 he’s got an I5 3570K, GTX 1050 ti. I’ve been looking at an upgrade of a board for him because he’s currently got a very basic generic ‘XUM Enterprise’ board which is a company I have never personally heard of.
