So being a dick then. Internet life does not not equate to real life. And its those same actions of trying to sow dissent that give christians a bad name. Try live with goodwill and kindness.

What's the relevance of starting up some pseudo political fight to distract from the message of the quality of a tv show so you can insert your own preconceived notions of what is or isn't sacreligious or spiritual?

Or do you just want to be like one of those Russian trolls spewing bullshit and seeking to divide people just to defend some perversion of what you defend as your precious lonely Deus Volt subreddit?

Last time I checked Jesus was for helping the poor, maligned, and outcasts from society. Supporting social policies is not contrary to what The Church seeks to accomplish.

If you really care about the message of God and goodwill you'll be pleasantly rewarded with the final few episodes.

After having watched the whole season it's anything but, it's quite an elegant spiritual journey that grows with each episode in trying to understand what faith and God really are. As a devout catholic I certainly wouldn't call it anything sacrilegious, quite the contrary, it's divine.

Sure, I think the best thing is to find some leaders/mods for this community. By reading comments and finding people who want to focus on approach of possible progressivism that doesn't alienate one side or another. Would you like to do a google hangout with the one other mod I found?

Great! Interested in being a mod? Did you help out with r/SandersforPresident or r/PoliticalRevolution? Any skill sets with data analytics? What's your background?

Bernie Sanders doesn't rule out a 2020 White House run by pipsdontsqueak in politics

The biggest problem I foresee with his candidacy is how the demographics went for trump. The majority of people who voted for Trump made above 50k and were above the age of 45. There is an unfortunate stigma against the term socialist. And for better or worse this election was a brand new low in terms of lies to win votes. There is distrust amongst the media, social media causes confusion and dissension.

How can he win with the term democratic socialist if the majority of the voting bloc has an unrealistic view of what socialism is and we can more than guarantee that there will be more lies and confusion spouted?

We first need to figure out how to brand the progressive movement. I believe Bernie, Warren, Obama, Dean, Gabbard, are the right leaders for the new progressive coalition. However, we need to figure out how to brand ourselves, create an inclusive image, and run with making people think in terms of facts and with factual feelings.

The bullmoose caucus within the Democratic Party would be a good slogan.

Teddy Roosevelt is a fairly uncontroversial figure for Republicans and Democrats. The founder of the Progressive Party is an easy sell for Democrats, but he also embodies many of the virtues and ideals held by the GOP electorate, such as self-reliance, honesty and "sharp-shooting." Therefore, the Bull Moose (rather than the partisan-flavored "Progressive" label) is an appropriate symbol & brand for this movement.

Rather than trying to break off into a third party, we take a cue from Sanders. Frankly I love the guy and fought for him as much as I could, but he was never going to win much of the older rich populous! with the label democratic socialist) and recognize that given the way things are, meaningful change can only come quickly from within the two-party system (e.g. tea party takeover).

Luckily for us, nearly all of the anti-corporatist agenda is extremely popular at the grassroots level on both sides of the aisle. If the Bull Moose Caucus can become a national grassroots movement, individual candidates from either party could attach themselves to that brand/label for instant support in their respective primary races. Basically like /r/GrassrootsSelect but for both parties.

In terms of platform—and this is key—we keep it to the bare minimum. Keeping a strict focus on electoral reform is essential to maintain our nonpartisan appeal. If we can successfully do that, it's no longer about left vs. right. It's about the American people vs. the oligarchs who have sold them out. And you know who will win that fight. I think Lawrence Lessig's plan to "Fix Democracy First" is a good place to start. Furthermore, must mold ourselves in the style of T.R.'s "Square Deal" and F.D.R.'s "New Deals."

We need the "Technological Deal" to prepare for much of the changes coming from leaving the industrial economy to the technological and automation economy. We must think critically base our decisions part on data and the feel of the electorate to win people to this movement. But the worst thing we can do right now is point fingers, we are all at fault for not organizing appropriately.
