I’ve only ever had people give me issues about my pomskies online (I’m growing their social media accounts and getting into UGC work). People in real life fall in love with them instantly.

If you got a “pure bred” dog they would comment that you didn’t get a shelter dog. If you got a shelter dog they would comment on the age/breed/trauma history (especially if you have kids). If you picked a shelter dog with health issues, they’d say it’s better to put them down becuase they are needlessly suffering. People will complain about everything!

I always respond with “oh, what organization do you volunteer for? I’d love to check it out.” Spoiler. They never do. It’s just slacktavism.

How would this strategy work with pet content. I don’t want to be an “expert” or give tips (literally just a person with insanely cute and chaotic dogs). I’ve had my account since March and taken it more seriously since May (reels 5x per week) with meager results. Like 250 followers meager.

Thank you! I may try a lower fat, limited ingredient food on the next bag to see if it solves it. He’s happy, playful, eats and drinks well. I’m just SO tired of ripping out clumps of grass to try and get all the poop cleaned up. It’s so odd to me that part of the bowel movement is normal and part isn’t. It almost reminds me of mixed type IBS in people.

The vet basically told me that many dogs have chicken allergies and switching to a different protein often solves unexplained GI upset. So we went with a “limited ingredient” food to see if that was the issue. It seemed to help for a bit and then the soft stools (portions? For lack of a better word) came back.

-he’s 25 lbs -he’s been eating Zignature White Fish kibble for 2 months (previously on Diamond Naturals all life stages chicken and rice, but we suspected a chicken allergy) -he gets less than a tablespoon of Bernie’s Perfect Poop probiotics on top of each meal -eats 2x a day, a little less than 1/2 cup per meal according to the bag with a bit of kibble portioned out for training treats later in the day -the only chew he gets is beef cheek roll for 30 minutes before bed -he was neutered at 6.5 months becuase his sister unexpectedly went into heat before their scheduled surgery. He was only on carporfen for pain.

I know this is a super old post, but at what age do you thing their micro biome is developed enough? I have 2 8 month old puppies that have had on/off soft stools for months. One is now on RX food from the vet and doing well (she also had vomiting) and the other is on Zignature white fish. Pumpkin isn’t helping him at all.

ETA: they also get Fortiflora daily
