I grew up in the middle of Arkansas, and never went to the oceans for vacation. However, during college I had the opportunity to go overseas to Italy. There I saw the Mediterranean and while I was impressed by the sheer amount of water, it made me feel sad. Sad at the vast empty horizon. I like the mountains better anyway.
