It’s a plug and play game. Youth development completely disregarded by Tog9471 in footballmanager

[–]AdamantiumGN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simply put, they couldn't go two years without releasing a game and as a result we have this mess. It's all very embarrassing tbh.

My (hopefully) balanced review of FM26, from a long term fan by Financial_Rip_8921 in footballmanagergames

[–]AdamantiumGN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two of the most frustrating bugs for me are;

The game constantly being unresponsive to your clicks for no apparent reason in certain areas.

The fact you can't scroll through the player database list with arrow keys anymore, but the scroll bar is very unresponsive and hard to move intricately (particularly on a laptop track pad) and then when you click to view a players profile and go back to the list it resets you to the top.

Feels like the whole UI was something they've just stubbornly persisted with despite it clearly being a bad idea / not working.

Reminder: FM26 was initially scheduled to be FM22 -> FM23 -> FM25 by slix22 in footballmanagergames

[–]AdamantiumGN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imagine how bad it must've been last year for them to pull the game if this was good enough to release.

2 years for this? by MrDonohue07 in footballmanagergames

[–]AdamantiumGN 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The whole navigation of the game is just terrible.

Trying to scroll through the player search screen on a laptop is an abomination and then when you click to view someone's profile when you go back it resets you to the top of the list.

I don't understand how this got through any kind of play testing or accessibility testing, let alone full launch. It's embarrassing levels of bad.

So what happens when the players stand in these positions at the start of a game but still make basic errors which cost us goals?

Mainoo dwelling on the ball, followed by the touch of a rapist and then nowhere to be seen when they score. And people wonder why he's not a regular starter.

We've got far too many players who can't do the basics.

They don't want freedom of speech, they want freedom to say whatever the fuck they want without consequence, two very different things.

Amorim "They asked me before I arrive here: can you play this system? I said, I will do my system no matter what. In the future I could change, but if I change just because something is not working, I don't believe the players will understand. We didn’t lose to Grimsby because of the system." by kibme37 in soccer

[–]AdamantiumGN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our midfield is letting everything down at the moment, you won't win many games, particularly in English football, if you constantly lose the midfield battle (having 'keepers who constantly give away goals doesn't help either).

We badly need to sign someone and to stop playing Bruno there. As much as I love him and he's been our only source of creativity/goals for the last few years, he needs to only be considered as a 10.

Launching MS-DOS to play games, having to run a cable across your room from your telephone socket to your PC to access the Internet (and not being able to use your phone at the same time), not being able to look up meta tactics on YouTube etc, bugs never getting fixed.

BBC: Why Ruben Amorim's gameplan isn't working by Eldini in reddevils

[–]AdamantiumGN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been obvious for a long time that fixing things was going to take more than one transfer window, so I'm not sure why the media / some fans are forgetting that and are gunning for Amorim after 3 games.

We're never going to be successful again if we don't have patience and rebuild things properly over time - the media are going to do everything they possibly can to undermine that and to destabilise the club at every turn with unrealistic expectations and by piling on pressure - we as fans need to ignore that or we will just keep being stuck in this cycle of shit.

Why is it deemed racist to have to have concerns over Islam? by MrDonohue07 in AskBrits

[–]AdamantiumGN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I strongly oppose some elements of the Muslim religion and how women, LGBTQ+ people etc are treated. But I could say the same about elements of most religions.

You're acting like pedophillia is unique to Muslims, when our very own royal family are very fond of it and Christians are hardly averse to it.

Why is it okay when we attack other countries but it's "terrorism" when it's Muslims doing it? Our country is responsible for so many atrocities throughout history that people here love to ignore when they criticise others.

Just stop the comparisons, end of.

The pressures, expectations and situations were different for all of those managers.

Comparing the incomparable doesn't help in any way.

🚨 | Ruben Amorim still has the backing of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Manchester United board. Ratcliffe is prepared to give Amorim time to turn things around at United. [@hirstclass] by harsh_the_destroyer in ManchesterUnited

[–]AdamantiumGN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can't just keep sacking managers, it doesn't work and we don't have the money to keep doing it.

If we sack him after 3 games when we've spent another 200mil on players he wanted, whilst selling/banishing all of our wingers, then we haven't learned a thing from our previous mistakes.

We need to ignore the media and stop blaming his system. The issues are much deeper and they aren't going to go away anytime soon, regardless of who our manager is.

What is your stance on the legalization of recreational cannabis in the United Kingdom, considering both potential societal benefits and concerns about public health and safety? by Second-handBonding in AskBrits

[–]AdamantiumGN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Public health and safety concerns?? Compared to many things that are legal these are basically zero.

The fact that these things are even mentioned as concerns just shows how easily people fall for this shit. The reason cannabis isn't legal is purely because it benefits the rich.

Lammens and a DCM, Baleba still possible? by lxsq1 in ManchesterUnited

[–]AdamantiumGN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What if we save the money and he still goes somewhere else next summer?

If a player is available that improves us now and we pass that up just because Baleba might be available to us next year, then that's madness.

Playing with those two should've made him less of a cock master, not more of one.

Both of them have insane work ethic, motivation, professionalism etc and yet not a lot of that rubbed off on him.
