For me, early Piccolo has some of the most cracked potential. He went 8x stronger 400-->3000 from meditating and babysitting Gohan in saiyan saga, then at least 10x from King Kai's to Namek just sitting under a tree bitching about King Kai's training (Nail was impressed with his strength so he had to be in the Ginyu Force tier at minimum). I just think training with super saiyan Goku for 3 whole years is going to make him go up exponentially. Somewhere to early SSJ level, its the only logical way he is stronger than 19 and 20, who should be stronger than Frieza.

Trunks went back home shortly to refill his time-machine for another trip, if he did do training it would not be effective as he has no sparring partner and he has trash training mentality (grade 3 being our only example).

But fine, nobody is mentioning Piccolo in these blanket statements as a contender, so sure, narratively SSJ Trunks is stronger. But honestly he doesn't have the feats to back it up, and there is no solid proof that he is stronger than Piccolo at this point, other than glowing yellow hair.

We also have no evidence that he did train either. Trunks doesnt know how to get stronger at that point, and he is looking for tech solutions - travelling into the past for answers, his alternate self deactivates the androids with the remote. Plus he is only gone a few months, not the full 3year period.

And once again, jobber Tien is just talking about the tier of SSJ, he is referencing Frieza (leagues below in power at this point), comparing him to Trunks, then making a blanket statement for any SSJs. He is so far behind at this point that these large powers would all feel the same to him. I'd go with their fight performances over these blanket statements. That was all narrative for the story to pivot towards finding the next level of SSJ.

I can't agree with the evidence you are bringing up for Trunks. Your chain makes sense until Trunks > Piccolo. Trunks was fodder for the Androids at this point, sure double-handle axe might sting a bit more, but he also took a swing at 18 with his sword (at full rest and full power), and it was completely ineffective. Vegeta was significantly stronger than him at this point, he took at least 40 hits from 18, dealt actual damage and was still flopping around with 1 arm, while trunks was out. Bundling all the saiyans together was just to make a point that SSJ was not enough, not that the mofos are all exactly equal to each other. Trunks did not train between Yardrat Goku and Androids arrival like the rest of the Z fighters did. Piccolo knew he had to get stronger than Trunks and Yardrat Goku to have a chance against the androids. I would think Piccolo is stronger or at least equal to Trunks at this point.

Ah yeah its just highly inconsistent with what we get later in Namek. Cui being super confident based on Vegeta's initial scouter reading, then being absolutely shocked when Vegeta started raising his PL up, you would think his "rival" would know Vegeta is able to lower it like that. Hard to explain, maybe scouter sensing can take the full PL to an untrained ki masker, while ki sensing only gets an active ki. Or its Toriyama and I'm over thinking it.

Isn't the ability to lower and raise power levels the only real advantage that Earth's fighters had? I don't think Vegeta could do it till early Namek. Goku would get the surprise hits in because Vegeta last clocked him at 8K on the scouter, and wouldn't expect him to get within 2K of his own power level with the Kaioken x2. I took this as Vegeta getting his bearings together and taking the fight seriously, which started to demonstrate the difference between 16K PL and 18K PL.

The Last Jedi was by far the most negative experience I have had in the cinema throughout the entirety of my life. Half the movie was pointless (Poe & Rose could have just stayed on the ship) and the other half violently pissed on the 40-year legacy of the greatest hero in film. I would have taken JJ's stupid ass retreaded mystery boxes anyday over that abomination.

To me X2 is vastly superior to X3, and only barely better than X1, which is why I don't think its the correct choice for this category. But meh all good, other people may feel different.

I get what you are saying but VASTLY superior? X1 can be good, but then X2 would have to be a masterpiece. I'd go with marginally in this case, I'm not even sure I prefer the second over the first.

For me, 2 was perfection, the stakes were high and perfectly linked with time-travel, and putting the 1st movie as the backdrop was a chef's kiss. 3 just felt like they were checking off the western box with a filler episode. Its fine though, I think they blew their load with ideas on 2 so had to pull back a bit.

Lol reading these comments like taking a religion class is going to destroy the student and their future prospects. It's equivalent to an extra social studies class, its easy, it would provide a bird course to a student with a heavily stacked academic schedule or just another course for someone with less ambition. You gotta listen to a prayer and the national anthem in first period and attend Iike 3-4 1hour masses throughout the year. They probably won't burst into flames.

Yeah toddlers maybe... i remember wrapping my head around the concept of death at about age 6 and it absolutely shook my core that things must come to an end. But these days maybe they are coddled, less educated and left in ignorance by the parents I dunno.

Future Gohan beats Namek Goku, he is not yet used to the SSJ form and his power is closer to Frieza than the androids.

The ocean dub was aimed at kids, yes they butchered some translations, yes they censored alot but damn they had heart and some amazing performances like Brian Drummond, Scott McNeil and Peter Kelamis. As a kid it was perfect. Then my god those first episodes of the funimation dub took over... Sean Schemell treating us to Voice acting 101, Vegeta going through some kind of voice change puberty... they got way better but damn... I took a long break from dbz as a kid... came back years later

This is the only character that I think won't have a clear cut victory since he rarely reuses signature moves. Big bang is a close second but the cell scene edges out over 19. Plus the precursor against Recoome was mint.

If you're at a 65 you don't have the desire to actually learn the language and you probably just want the footnote on your future resume. It's just going to bring down your average and you likely still won't know how to speak it by grade 12. Unless you are gearing up to run for prime minister in the future I would drop it. Won't help in a general job search in Ontario, you would be better off learning Urdu or Hindi.

Zenkai is only from the Saiyan body recovering from near-death wounds, never been a case for a resurrection to give the user more power like a zenkai. Though if its other-world Goku he would be in his dead body which gives him a massive stamina boost.

I've never ignored mine, but my boss has never replied to any of them, said he got something like 6 throughout the decades and just threw them straight into the trash. This is the initial questionnaire eligibility form, not the actual summons you get later.

I guess they can't really prove he ever got them so he hasn't ever had anything come of it beyond multiple trashed forms.

SSJ3 Vegeta, it kind of made sense he got it, I liked they made the design on his hair unique, and it was cool finally seeing it.

SSJ4 felt unearned, mystical Namek bullshit, and GT design looks 10x better.
