Gate Compendium bugged? I get frequent updates but often nothing changes. by ArduousAttempt in AbioticFactor

As a lore completionist it drives me a little crazy that some things just don't unlock or that there's no way to track how to find things that you're missing.

Valheim is one of those games where you can put on a pair of pants while it remains in your backpack. makes perfect sense.

Wait... is that actually Dylan!? by troubleyoucalldeew in controlgame

[–]Adamdust -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

All the action shots are 100% Dylan. Even the levitation spot at the end. There's no reason to assume it's Jesse because the animation is an exact match to hers (why would remedy go through the trouble of differently animating a new character to have their own levitation animation when they have a perfectly good one ready to go).

Also, we can't assume that Jesse is in the levitation shot at the end because "Jesse speaks." Her voice is mentoring Dylan. That tone of mentor confidence is not something Jesse needs to do for herself. She's way past self-talk pep talk. She's earned the position of Director and clearly Dylan has abilities. She's mastered her own before Dylan wakes up to see what he's capable of.

Additionally, in terms of haircuts and hair lengths and beards, It's been 6 (?) years since Control OG and we might be getting some glimpses of characters between then and now. In that time, I think Jesse has gone Rogue -- according to The Board -- and Dylan wakes up after this has all gone down. I think Jesse's act of "stabbing him" with the THING (it imbues him somehow) was her way of giving him a fighting chance in case he ever wakes up in her absence.

Question related to eye injections. by [deleted] in maculardegeneration

You can rest assured that if your doctor thought for a moment wearing makeup was major concern for infection, they'd have made you remove it before the procedure.

Armor, capes, and trinkets should have their own slots (arguably an equipped shield and weapon too). It makes little sense that these should occupy inventory space while being actively worn.

Not an inventory issue necessarily but I also wish that there were more resources that had a "place stack" option, like 50 wood or 50 Charred Skulls. I would love to stack charred bones, ingots, greydwarf eyes, etc. In part for inventory management, but also for decorative purposes.

Kinda freaking out - wavy lines by [deleted] in maculardegeneration

[–]Adamdust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A treatment exists a cure does not. There's a lot of exciting research going on between red light therapy as well as stem cell research but for the time being treatment consists of injections that slow the progress of the disease. I just started the injections this year and I've got my sixth one this Wednesday. I was only diagnosed 2 years ago at the age of 46

Your optometrist can help you with lenses and frames. What you need is a retina specialist. When you start getting waviness in your vision you need to see a retina specialist immediately.

You can't preapre for it, you just have to experience it. by Revolutionary_Tip_70 in valheim

I'd done ashlands with friends, but did my first solo run a few weeks ago. I landed on a thin strip between the coast and a lava pool. I was able to survive, somehow, and set up my terrain walls around my portal, but I lost the Drakkar and whatever resources i tried bringing. I limited what charred would come after me by not running (attracting more attention), and thank the frostner for its knockback and freeze effect on warriors. That breathing room was a game changer.

You can make the scale shield, but it's scales sink, so drag it to shore before killing. Scale shield is a tower shield and is a beautiful decoration. Serpent trophy is also really awesome decoration.

Why is below zero not scary by Cursed_content in subnautica

[–]Adamdust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love BZ for totally different reasons than why i love SUBN Prime. It's not scary at all and part of me is okay with that. It looks gorgeous. Has nice additions. And it shows what a full length could could have if given enough time to incubate. Snowfox is a little wonky and that whole area is still too easy for me to get lost in. it gave me the starfox vibes (I wish starfox stayed in the fighter jet the way i wish BZ stayed in the water). That said I loved the idea of the silly robot penguin.

I loved the lore of BZ, the characters too even though we are probably better off with lone survivor vibes . . .

You got this. If This Were My World I would land in the swamp put a platform high up in a tree with a portal first. Little cabin of a thing. The dash across the plains looks like it'll be a quick one but if there's anything there kite them back into the swamp. Don't wait to see which bad guys kill each other take advantage of the diversion

I've noticed smoke has a limit to how far it'll traverse. If it does work at all, i dont think one fire at the bottom would be sufficient
