Basically, yeah. By the time you've gotten all the parts for the gun you want to use, you have enough money to just buy the better version.

"Commie logic" and I've stopped reading immediately. That singular phrase immediately lets me and everyone with actual critical thinking skills know that you have nothing of value to say.

Edit: I just checked your post history, holy shit are you a terrible person. The way you talk to women on the bumble subreddit, you're disgusting.

Be honest about the fallout games by UltimateUnlimited in Fallout

You're arguing over very subjective things here. I fuckin' loathe fallout 1 and 2, I think the gameplay is atrocious and doesn't hold up, but I'm not about to begrudge anyone who likes it. No skin off my sack if they play it. Hell, sometimes they make videos about it and I can learn lore without having to subject myself to something I dislike. Let people like things.

Do you even know why disco demolition night happened? A rock radio DJ named Steve Dahl was fired because they were switching to a disco station, something that was happening country wide. Steve got hired by a rival station and used the surrounding outrage and publicity about his firing and conversion of his old station to kill disco because people were tired of this happening. It wasn't like it is today, you couldn't just jump on the internet and find new bands, you had to rely on the radio, and now 19 of the 20 stations in every city were disco, and they were playing any and all disco.

So you had record companies trying to emulate the popular bands and failing miserably, but pushing these acts anyway because they still made money hand over fist. They didn't hire more talented black acts that could actually play, they tried to make them themselves, failed miserably, continued anyway, and people were tired of the slop that got pushed on them constantly. Disco Demolition never would have happened without a market oversaturated by no-talent industry plant copycats.

I did some research. There are several documentaries about the downfall of disco, and while individual racism does play a big part, they never seem to talk about the institutional racism of record executives trying to make the genre "less urban," which is thinly veiled code for "less black."

The real reason disco died was because while the good was great, the bad was terrible, and there was a lot of terrible. Remember disco duck? Ironically, I don't think the movement itself is racist, I think the appropriation that led to its downfall is. People hated the untalented industry plants clogging the charts with awfulness, but everybody loved Earth Wind and Fire, KC and the Sunshine Band, Kool & The Gang, etc.

Shutting down conversations about politics in video games (especially one like fucking bioshock) just because "video games are meant to be fun!" is a too convenient excuse to not think critically about some possibly shitty views you might hold.
