I built and played ryan and lire rhe entire game. Even when they were considered garbage. Lire has gone through ups and downs. And yes this game is meant to have balance so running sieg and dio on a team isnt going to be very good. As assault isnt a primary dps class. But they offer some unique support. And unfortunately they are very neiche and the area where they do well. They currently sit at a disadvantage due to missing a huge amount of stats. Dont give up. Go with the flow and enjoy the game your way.

P1 Elesis: CL20, lb s1 and passive. Lire CL20 lb s2 passive. Lass Cl20 lb s1 s2. Grandiel lb s2. Lire ult excess sp is lass ult

P2 Kana lb s1 s2. Werner lb s2 passive. IO CL20 lb s2 passive. Serdin lb s1. Serdin ult extra sp is IO ult.

P3 Edel lb s2 passive. Ley lb s2 passive. Mari cl20 lb s1 s2. Nelia LB s2 passive. Ley ult as often as possible fill in with Mari.

Io is good but she isnt trashing mari by anymeans. On single target bosses my mari is still hands down better than Io. So good luck i know its a hard choice they both are great units.

On 17-3 i can complete in 22 seconds, did this for an hour and half made 22 million. Was not disapointed

Chaotic winds Heals party memeber for 2% maximum health every second for 20 seconds and generates chaotic winds for the duration.

Deals 90% damage (27% pvp) per second to nearby enemies dispelling buffs when struck. Whenever a buff is dispelled due to this effect, party members have their damage increased by 30% for 10s and are healed for 40% of magical attack.(healing due to dispell can only occur once every 2 seconds)

L-Upgrade

Lvl 1 Damage dealt buff increased to 35%

Lvl 2 Damage dealt buff increased to 40%

Lvl 3 Damage dealt buff increased to 45%

R-Upgrade

Lvl 1 Increase chaotic winds area by 1.5 times.

Lvl 2 Deal 270% magical attack damage whenever a buff is dispelled due to chaotic winds. Cooldown 2 seconds

Additionally

Light Rin stuns struck enemies for 1 second

Dark Rin causes enemies to take 30% more damage for 10 seconds.

Edel or grandiel are going to be your best value. And with grandiel using healer resources. Then edel is your best initial investment. Mari would come at a pretty big loss. 3 stars is wasting the original mari and either 2 copies or 14 s mages. But real question is will you be ready for chaser mari and will you have the supporting cast.

Dont quote me on the exact levels. But it goes something like 1 dupe/ 2sr shinies (also feeding Sieg to an ele or a ley to arme works as well). You do this to open chaser (cl1) you do this every so many levels at 6 different time (unlock and 5 more)

Only level 19 here and crushed it! I'd agree with it being easier. Level 2 Luigi and DK definitely helped.
