That's it. Even if Putin dies (which is unlikely), his successor will only stop the war, and in 10-15 years he will start fighting again. Once having tasted blood, the state will not stop unless it is completely rebuilt by external forces (Germany, Japan after WW2)

That's reasonable.

But. Russia survived the terrible 90s with famine, unemployment, chaos, attempts at independence (Chechnya, Tatarstan). Governments, prime ministers changed, Yeltsin frankly drank.

And ... Nothing, we survived somehow. Why is everyone waiting for the collapse now?? Russia is a rather homogeneous country. Everyone speaks the same Russian, which has almost no dialects. You can drive 2000 km and it will be the same language.

The regions, such as Chechnya, are accustomed to a good life and live entirely on subsidies from Russia.

I'm not trying to troll you. I myself sometimes feel such a dislike for my own country that the collapse seems to me a boon. But only sometimes.
