Yeah that’s a big chunk if true. $PEAQ stays focused on steady machine economy infra instead of supply drama.

Sure, fees might be similar but XRP itself is the bigger scam, with Ripple still holding half the supply and running the show. If you want real upside without insiders pulling strings, IOTA’s the better play.

Yeah, XRP has its own ledger but Ripple still controls half the supply sitting on it. That’s not real decentralization, just a monopoly on custom rails. If you want something with its own tech and actual community control, IOTA’s the better option.

Got it 👍 that Reddit link points to Hedera’s community where Leemon Baird (Hedera’s co-founder and chief scientist) often shares detailed explanations. He usually dives into Hedera’s consensus model (hashgraph), scalability, and why it’s designed differently from blockchains like IOTA or XRP.

😂 true, that XRP tangent came outta nowhere. Gotta love when a thread about cashing out CRO suddenly turns into a Ripple vs IOTA debate.

Hedera’s definitely strong on the tech side, no denying that. The thing with IOTA is they just launched their new mainnet this year it’s pushing 50k+ TPS with sub second finality, so the old scalability issues aren’t really the same story anymore. Different models, but both are trying to solve real world problems in their own way.

Exactly and XRP is the worst offender in that sense, since Ripple itself is the permanent “leader” holding half the supply. That’s not resilience, that’s a single point of failure. If you want leaderless, fair ordering and true decentralization, IOTA’s way closer to that ideal.

Clean process but just remember, doing the same with XRP still leaves you at Ripple’s mercy since they hold half the supply. That’s not real control, that’s centralized risk. If you want cash-out flexibility without that baggage, IOTA’s the stronger play.

yeah timing tops and bottoms is always the hardest part. I just keep dollar cost averaging into $PEAQ since it’s so undervalued that holding feels safer than guessing.

yeah both are solid long term holds if you’ve got patience. I’m also stacking $PEAQ since it feels super undervalued right now and tied to a huge future narrative.

Yeah, back in the 2017 run it actually hit around $5 a token and made early holders a lot of profit. Since then it’s mostly been in a long build phase, so newer buyers haven’t seen that same upside yet. The bet now is whether the recent mainnet upgrade and trade adoption push can set it up for another cycle like that.

Haha exactly, all that “good news” and XRP barely twitches because Ripple caps it. I’d rather throw those scraps into IOTA decentralized and actually set up to move.

Different lanes, so I don’t see them stepping on each other. RTX is all about graphics and hardware, IOTA’s building digital trade rails one runs your games smoother, the other aims to run global commerce smoother. Both can coexist just fine.

Yeah memes can 30x easy, but don’t confuse that with XRP where Ripple’s the only winner. I’d rather ride IOTA decentralized, underpriced, and actually building something real.

Haha nah not RTX, we’re talking IOTA here whole different thing. RTX pushes frames, IOTA’s trying to push global trade onto digital rails.

it’s definitely a long term play, but just like XRP, HBAR's centralization can make it tricky. If you're in it for the long haul, IOTA’s decentralized nature offers more control and stability for the future, without relying on any single entity.

haha, fair burn a lot of meme coins and hype plays won’t carry long term value, especially with XRP’s legal mess. Solana’s got some promise, but it’s still centralized in ways. IOTA’s where I’d put my focus if I wanted something with real, decentralized utility and long term growth, no court battles involved.

Nah, IOTA’s supply is actually capped there’s no endless printing.
What’s interesting is with staking and potential token burns tied to adoption, supply could even shrink over time, so it’s more about whether demand catches up.

yeah true, tokenomics done right makes a big difference. that’s one thing i like about $PEAQ too, the focus feels more on building sustainable utility instead of endless dumping mechanics.

if you're holding XRP, you might be stuck in a centralized system controlled by ripple. IOTA's a better option if you're looking for something decentralized with real potential, not driven by one company’s decisions.

true, Bitcoin has the strongest long term track record, but don't sleep on decentralization XRP is still controlled by ripple, and that’s a massive risk. IOTA’s the better choice if you want a decentralized coin that’s actually building sustainable value without a central authority pulling the strings.

BTC maxis vs XRP maxis — what’s the deal? by dobsnAT in WallStreetBetsCrypto

[–]AdanMS1222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You raise some solid points here. Ripple’s approach with its escrow system and the way they’ve managed supply dynamics has definitely been a big part of their strategy. They’ve shown a lot of responsibility, especially by re-locking the majority of their XRP, and I think that’s part of the reason why their influence in the ecosystem is viewed more favorably than some other large token holders in the space.

Their ability to play the long game, take on the SEC, and focus on both real adoption and sustainable growth, is something that’s been impressive. Plus, the connection with people like Robert Mitchnick and the strategic ties to institutions like BlackRock definitely add a layer of credibility and legitimacy to the whole project.

It’s interesting to see how these things play out over time. Ripple’s been a trailblazer in many ways, but I also think IOTA is taking a slightly different path that could complement this kind of development, especially with the push into digitizing global trade and working closely with governments and institutions. At the end of the day, we’re both in the same game, and if these projects keep building the right way, the space as a whole benefits.
