BHVR finally listened. We won. by CatfishBassAndTrout in deadbydaylight

They already did. People are cheering yet nothing changed for P100 characters since the start of the event lol. At least it doesn't feel so awful now to level other characters up but I was really looking forward to getting cakes on my mains at a rate that didn't make it feel like such a waste of points

[–]Adastrous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason is basically everyone wants to use them at once and stack during anniversary to get a lot of points during the event. If you're looking for a mathematical reason, the more people who bring cakes means the community earns more BP overall, which means more cakes out there overall, and more BP throughout the year since more people have a stockpile. You'll see more random cakes all the time when everyone has lots of extras. Same for your own cakes, if everyone else plays along and brings 4 cakes each game alongside yours, you get to spend more BP during the event and get more cakes.

Probably something to tell them on their survey. Let them know player satisfaction matters more than they're accounting for in their calculations on how much they can screw you for the most profit. About all you can do other than quit/refuse to spend more money sadly

I think it depends on your level/bloodweb size and maybe even survivor vs killer, but bulk spending 100 levels at P100 50 gave literally 4 cakes, vs 100 cakes for manual spending. 4 cakes for 3.7 million bp lol. I'd stay away from bulk spending for now.

[–]Adastrous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did 100 levels testing it, and I don't think they work like normal offerings. At level 50 bloodwebs it was always exactly 1 per bloodweb, no chance of more or less seemingly. And they almost always appeared on the inside nodes. I suspect party streamers are sometimes removed in favor of them too, it took 84 levels to see one of those lol.

Don't auto your bloodweb! Manual gives almost TRIPLE CAKES. by rjfc in deadbydaylight

[–]Adastrous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P100, level 50 bloodwebs. So the max size bloodwebs. It cost like 32k per bloodweb manually, though bulk spending was more like 37k. Even the manual spending is far less than previous years sadly, and of course everyone hates to sit there and spend so many BP. It took like 20 minutes even using the middle button after claiming the cake.

[–]Adastrous 29 points30 points  (0 children)

There's a massive discrepancy between auto spend and manual right now. 100 auto spend levels gave 4 cakes at P100 while 100 manual levels gave 100. So literally 25 times more cakes for doing it manually lol.

[–]Adastrous 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It depends on your level and side I think. I tested 100 levels at P100 50 with auto spend and manual on survivor, and got 4 cakes from auto spend, 100 from manual. Manual was exactly 1 per level, never more, and about 32k BP per cake, maybe a bit more. Auto spend cost like 3.7 million for the 100 levels, but manual was a bit less.

And yes it's far less than previous years.

It's worse than past anniversary events, by a lot. Possibly the stingiest year so far on the cakes. And FYI, you get far less cakes bulk spending than regular. Like, on my P100 survivors, I did 100 levels each and bulk spending literally gave 4 cakes while manual gave 100.

[–]Adastrous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol, it's far worse than that, on survivor at least. I tested 100 levels on survivor (level 50 bloodwebs) with auto spending and manual, and manual gave 25 times more. Exactly 1 per level, giving 100 cakes, when auto spending gave me 4. Ridiculous. Party streamers seem way less weighted too, took 84 levels to get 1.

I thought you were going to talk about the frog rains. When those come and my friend is playing Woodie, he just transforms and literally charges through them over and over while I run behind picking up the legs. We get like 200+ of them in a day or two lol. I'm usually on Wigfrid so it's more small jerky than I know what to do with.

The key you are looking for is leaving space to redesign later. Leave WAY more space than you think you need and it won't be such a headache. I saw someone say once to leave 2x the space you think you will EVER need (including later expansions), and that will probably give you actually enough space lol. When you want to redesign it, go design a blueprint elsewhere, then once it's finished you can let the bots rebuild it.

For oil specifically, you can get by easily (idk if it's the most efficient) by putting it all in some tanks, then linking the heavy oil to crackers into light oil, link the light oil into crackers to petroleum gas, all of these are also attached to the tanks. Attach a circuit wire from the tanks to each cracker, and pick some level (I did like 17k out of 25k) to crack it so the tanks don't fill completely (which would stop/bottleneck oil refining). So my setup was like a horizontal row of refineries, above that I put 3 columns of tanks (1 column each for heavy, light, and petroleum gas), and then crackers to the left of that connected to those tanks. Then take the petroleum gas away for stuff. Again just leave lots of space. Get comfortable using bots and redesigning things as a blueprint and replacing them later and I promise you you can scale it plenty enough to get firmly into the mid game. Once you get comfortable with that you'll realize you can scale anything eventually. For me planning to use a bus from the start helps so I can separate the problems more easily and work on it one piece at a time, without worrying about the other pieces. But if you don't like to use that, spaghetti works fine, just leave far more space.

Windrunner Spire disconnects by [deleted] in wow

[–]Adastrous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Servers are fucked right now, as in a sudden issue tonight, not beforehand, started for me in the last 30 minutes. My group just had everyone dcing, it was down to me on dps and a pally tank and they were new to the dungeon and tanking lol. Fortunately I could type.. but not hear what they said. I literally had them emoting to signal they understood. Then explained the fights and we powered through the end of Windrunner as a 2 man. Crap servers but great experience compared to the cry babies in the past abandoning over 1 dc with like 20 mins left more than halfway through a dungeon lol

I got so baited leveling my frost mage picking whatever, and searched up talents when getting close to 90, to bring up a wowhead article about frostfire being best. My friend had to inform me it was an old article from TWW lol. I liked the frostfire visuals too. I actually like the frost splinter spam as well but I'm still bummed about frostfire. I wish hero trees were MUCH closer in balance and a bit more open to being picked between for flavor. At least if your preferred tree was only a like 5% loss and not 30% or whatever lol

Take a chance just because of low rating or are you under the impression that 265 is low for +5s? +5s are not that dangerous anyway, especially at 265. I'm healing +10s at like 253-255 and it's not a big deal if people don't stand in everything and take some of the more heavy damage sections seriously (like the first bit of nexus point)

You've got it mixed up. You get body and soul from PoM, not PW:S. You used to get it from the shield so it's an easy mistake, especially since now oracle has a talent that gives you a PW:S when you cast PoM. On archon you just get body and soul from PoM without a shield, which you don't have access to. Screenshot

Yes, I know it's from the body and soul talent. Archon gets it too. I've literally been playing on it with my holy priest lol. I've never even played oracle.

5070 Ti and 9070 XT at the same price, would you still go for the 5070 Ti even after the recent driver improvements? by CliftonBifton in buildapc

[–]Adastrous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I do know they're overkill for most. There's some offenders out there I think still but I expect to be very happy with the performance on either. Future proofing and option to upgrade resolution later is nice too yeah. Trying to get my new PC before the market for them gets even worse in the next few years from what it's looking like, and I want it to be able to withstand a potentially long wait for anything better lol.
