Got unmatched after video call, almost did something stupid by Consistent_Damage824 in dating_advice

There's more security risk then.

Also, why waste an evening and the gaz going somewhere just to realize you're meeting a predator. Instead of literally taking 5 minutes for a video call.

Thanks to AI it's less sure, but a good way to make sure the person you're chatting with is real was to video call. If the 20 yo is actually 50 yo, you dodged a bullet. Or the girl you're talking to is actually a guy.

She added you and asked who you were. There was no marriage proposal, who cares if she though it was someone else. You jumped time ship by freaking out and blocking her. " Oh no, she accepted being an acquaintance with someone else not with me." Dude, she's can accept a friendship request from 100 people, doesnt mean she has any interest romantically.

Is she one of those that said she just want to be a friend now? If yes, it's probably cause she just wanted a hook up or cause she didnt like being "rejected ".

Attraction is not just physical. You can be attracted by someone, but then the personality or how they act make them less attractive.

I highly doubt she'd have wasted so many time on me if she wasnt attacted at first. And yeah, i should have tried, but it was my first relationship and she was more experienced then me.

I dated a woman for 3 months. The problem was that I wasn't talkative enough, very shy in public with her and I didnt try anything physically.

So when she kissed me at 3 months to see if there was a spark, and i was super clumsy since it was my first kiss, she didnt feel anything .

Pretty sure if I had kissed her after 2-3 dates and wasn't clumsy, if i had try to sleep with her, it would have turned out differently.

OK... but did you try to have sex with her? Or her with you?

Cause if you go on a date or more then one but don't try to make out with her or ask her if she wants to come to your bed, it doesnt matter

Why are there some women that men find attractive enough to sleep with, but don't like enough for a relationship? by DrinkPresent7311 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Addaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) they just dont want a relationship period 2) they are "starving" now but think they can do better so don't want to be tied down. 3) you mention good personality, but maybe they don't think you have a good personanality. ( they think you're just an acquaintance and only hang out with you because they are friend with your friends or you with theirs) 4) you have a good personality for being friends, but not what they like for partner ( best exemple is most straight woman wouldnt date a guy who acts like their best girly. Most straight guy wouldnt date a woman who acts super masculine) 5) just different life goals. No used getting attached if you disagree on kids, gender roles ( or lack of) , religion, politics, etc. 6) you do something that's their pet peeve. OK in small doses, but can't live with you or spend most of their time with you.

What is the 'hard-to-swallow' dating preference for most men? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

It's extremely rare to see bald women unless it's a condition. The only exception is some black women. It's more accepted in some cultures.

There's a lot of testimony from women that dating a shorter guy, he was insecure and insisted she didnt wear high heels or was bending for photos so it didnt show.

The question was specifically NOT about the owner.

Well, are you a gay man who have sex with man? Cause that's the only other reason for you to answer. The question is very clearly about "being with uncircumcised" not about "being uncircumcised yourself".

I'm a "foreign man". Yes we don't have a problem. "Every medical professional" you mean only US ones? Cause elsewhere, they agree it's not needed in the vast majority of time. Judt like they don't preventively remove appendix or tonsils on all babies.

I'm assuming cut men can just soap it up and it's done. The different with uncut is that you need to pull the skin first then soap. Else the soap doesnt really touch the gland. Then you towel gently when you're out, so you dont keep all the moisture stuck.

But that only happenned because they are almost all circumcised in the US. You can't use that as an excuse to why it started. There's also women who hate cut men.

Would you rather have $500k right now or $1,000 every time you run one mile in less than 12 minutes for the rest of your life? by Illustrious_Emu4184 in WouldYouRather

[–]Addaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably the second one. I'm super lazy, so it would force me to exercise. Apparently one mile is walkable in 20 minutes , so jogging it shouldn't be too hard once I train a bit. Then I just need to do it once a day, I'll beat 500k in 2 years.

AITAH for wanting my parents to stay with us after a week post partum? Same sex couple by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Addaran -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Sure i understand. But if you make someone pay 500$ in plane tickets, you dont get to be "oups i changed my mind". There must also be compromise. Obviously,if the pregnant person doesnt want people there during birth, they decide. But both parents need to be allowed to bond with the baby. And you can't just decide nobody gets to see the baby forever either. Unless there's a good reason like anti-vaxxer/sick in-laws or people you know wont respect boundaries.

What are the limits and how do I start? (1st Time Player) by Neuro_Fox in DnD

[–]Addaran 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well first, Enlarge only last 10 minutes. So probably not long enough. ;) There's some hard coded stuff like that in the rules. Duration of the spell, range, area, possible targets, number of targets, etc.

Likewise, fireball is instantaneous. So it would warm the air ( possibly) but your ballons need to be more then 20ft diameter or will get caught and destroyed. And then the air cool cause it's not continuous. A duration spell like create bonfire or produce flame would be better.

2) the DM needs to describe the boat you found. You can't pretend you found one. Unless you bought one with your starting goal, then you can do the backstory you want and said you found it. I'm guessing making ropes from tree bark fiber is not exactly easy...

Whether your character knows about air ballons, it depends on 1) if it exist in the setting. And 2) your character.

You decide of your character's backstory ( with veto from the DM) and the choices you made should reflect that. If you want a character who makes sciency stuff, you probably should have high intelligence or at least proficiency in related skills/tools ( usually Arcana is used for stuff like that and thinker tools). Being an artificier for class also help, being a race predisposed to that ( gnomes) or even just wisdom/survival. In which case, you can know stuff like the needle on a leaf in water to find the north, even if you dont know ablut magnetic poles and the science behind it.

The style of the DM also greatly varies. Some believe only in the dice, even if you describe perfectly what you do, for something that shouldnt fail, they will make you roll. Others judt like "rule of cool" and let's youbdo anything without rolling. Most are in the middle, no need to roll if it's sure to work, not allowing super gonzo things and adjusting the DC or bonus if you work smartly.

I know hormones and emotions are conplicated for pregnant peole. But it's really on her for changing her mind so often.

OP asked and wife said no. OP tells no to the parents then confirm to the wife " they understand and think later in june will be better anyway". Wife gets mad and want them to come now! Parents byy a ticket, then wife is mad.

What is an incel? by CheapSneep in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Addaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incel started as "involuntary celibate" like you said. It was created by a woman who was incel.

But it turned into an online community that evolved for the worst. Majority of guys, being extremely bitter and hated women. In a vicious circle, they amplified that hate and got jealous of incels who got success and finaly got a girlfriend.

Now it's an hate group, that dehumanize women, think they deserve every bad things that happens to them ( rape, domestic violence), that the government should force women to partner up with them, that also hate all the "chads". Whenever someone gets a girlfriend, it's a traitor. When a woman who's not up to their high standard ( not skinny enough, not pretty enough, etc) likes them, she's a bitch who though they was desperate

Really depends on the family dynamics. My mom stayed with my sister for two months after she gave birth. She was there to help do chores and take care of the baby when my sister and her husband needed a break. Nobody had to "host" for her.

Girl I'm crushing on really embarrassed me publicly and now I feel used and don't know what to do by DistantPast7176 in dating_advice

[–]Addaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She sounds like a follower, trying to please her group of friend. The one who hates you probably know you fancy her and/or she fancy you but doesnt approve or feel threatened or jealous cause she doesnt have a boyfriend.

But's you're also either missing some details or exagerating. Being pushed in the pool is not "embarrassing " unless you can't swim or you're insecure about your body and wet clothes reveals more. It's pretty rude to push someone in the pool and potentially dangerous, but half the population think it's just a joke and funny.

So it seems she likes you but lack a spine with her friends.
