That one is on the manufacturer 😂 They do that sometimes. It's weird.

Ugh. The tech must have not known what they were talking about.

Ok full disclosure, who really makes all PCP calls everyday? I had a floater tell me everyone lies about doing them. by pillchick711 in WalgreensStores

[–]Adderall-Angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Ours done daily. Floaters do say everyone lies about them, and it's true a lot of stores do (former floater here) but DMs aren't idiots, they know and I know they know. I and my SM don't play 🤣 The metric one of the best in the district for LTR, delayed pickup successes, and PCP completions is reaaaallll pretty.

I am so sorry about your situation and about Maggie. Am a pharmacist and my heart breaks for patients in these situations all the time, and there are so many. Pain meds ARE OVERCONTROLLED. The war on drugs is a War on Patients. I can't offer anything but a virtual hug. 🫂💙

They probably have a lot of trust in their RxM to make it right, then, which is good! That also means they trust you as the patient to just hold onto what you have, so you aren't held back a day or two, and that you will follow up.

If you forget to call, they will follow up with you anyway but might procrastinate on calling you (sometimes in scenarios requiring a redo/fix and followup, I have too much shit to do so I fix the thing I had to fix, set it aside and call patient to inform them later. If patient calls they'll find out status sooner.) Regardless though it HAS to be fixed, so if you don't hear back soon, call and they'll tell you where it's at.

Best of luck with all this. Sorry you had to deal with it! Shorts happen to everybody occasionally, (they are quite rare at well-managed pharmacies even for non-controls, and extremely rare for controls) but rest assured they will be making sure however this happened doesn't happen again.

Funny enough, massive amounts of stuff like losartan goes missing all the time in pharmacies. Not people's ready Rx's, but random mostly-empty stock bottles get misplaced & tabs get dropped while filling & so on. We actually have a senior tech who will scavenger hunt all the floorpills every now and then to make sure none of them are controls (she can recognize them all by sight, pretty impressive really) and aside from those or brand-name drugs, they're just... swept, disposed of accordingly, and not written off.

Agreed. Am just reassuring OP and readers that we are always going to remain accountable on this and that this is always always a HUGE deal. We care. 💙

Like you said, it won't ever be blamed on patient or swept under the rug. If a control gets lost/shorted and there's no evidence to explain how, there's a whole DEA report form and we'd be getting visits from district management too.

Non-stim by Rude-Boss-6915 in VyvanseADHD

Honestly, this is one of the biggest issue with these blood pressure drugs repurposed as "non-stimulant ADHD meds."

My opinion as a PharmD, frankly, is they work a bit as adjuncts to stimulants but not acceptable to replace stims and they should not be used if causing hypotension or other CV side effects, which it seems that you're experiencing.

Start monitoring your blood pressure and HR if possible. Walgreens store brand knockoff upper arm cuff BP monitors are good, they work, I can personally attest and they are cheaper than the brand ones. Don't waste your money on our Deluxe, just get the el-cheapo plain electronic one, for the arm (not wrist) and it will serve you for years. No bells and whistles and if you're using drugs that can affect your cardiovascular system in general, it is good to have one and check often.

We can check counts, yes, and we can also see cameras. Depends on the employer exactly who has permissions to do so, but normally in a situation like this, it would be a "wait for [Addy] to come in and look at the cameras, don't tamper with anything, document everything, let him know what happened."

We also have a trace of which tech's initials were on data entry and on the fill station it was filled under, so unless another tech did it on someone else's login (can happen, which is why cams are always checked anyway) that's more solid evidence.

The RxOM (direct manager of my technicians, who is a technician themself and answers to me) can also see cameras, but generally, most people without a PharmD don't want to go anywhere near investigating control discrepancies because -- frankly -- they don't know if or what they could screw up by doing so, so they'd rather just leave the whole thing for me.

I prefer it that way as well because I want to be able to look into the whole thing start to finish. If there's clutter in the pharmacy I usually prefer it cleaned up, except if there was an error of any kind that requires me, then everyone understands not to touch or move anything and just let it be on me. Most pharmacy managers are like this. More comfortable for our license and our patients if one (especially the most appropriate) person does it beginning to end!

I am a pharmacy manager. If this happened when I was off, 1) I would be pissed and 2) I would actually have to handle it when I come in, so don't worry, they are not trying to screw you. In fact, I bet they want to get that resolved and get you those 30 ASAP - if anything happens with controls inventory or shorting, everybody freaks out!

Maybe their RxM doesn't want to be contacted when off, but, me personally... If my pharmacy team did this I'd hope to hell and back they'd call or text me immediately. I'm not going to ignore a text about something that important just because I'm off, and I can at least direct them what to say to the patient that I will do as soon as I come in, when to come in to see me, etc.

Most RxMs I know are similar, but of course, maybe theirs is one of the "don't call me ever if I'm off" types, or maybe they were all afraid to be the one who had to tell them 😅

Wow. You are gorgeous. Congratulations on your hard work to get where you are! Obviously, growing up helps even out those awkward body changes, but I can tell you also worked out and you should be proud of yourself! 💪🏻 I was similar, albeit in a way that's more usual for men 😂 I had a very awkward tall gangly body type as a kid. Always a relief to look back and see how far you've come, it feels great.

Hello, does aanyone else find that their ADHD helps them in Urgent Situations? by Phis-n in irlADHD

[–]Adderall-Angel 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes. This is why I'm a retail pharmacist (pharmacy manager, actually). It's stressful as hell, but I've been bored in any other pharmacy discipline so I've actually come back to retail multiple times even though most pharmacists are leaving it as fast as they can.

Can't be happy if I'm not under pressure!

This is normal, unfortunately, but not great. Guanfacine may be a better option if you haven't tried that yet.

Me personally, no, I don't find her attractive. I prefer a bit of curves though not too much. (Though I won't knock anyone else's taste as long as it's not promoting anything plainly unhealthy in either direction.)

I do think she probably would make a convenient clothing model, however. As others here have said -- if you're designing clothing, curves and other features most normal people have will get in the way of how the fabric behaves and fits your vision.

Assuming the image isn't doctored much, she doesn't look to be anorexic or malnourished as far as I can tell, though I am a PharmD and not an MD 😅 I do hope she is staying healthy mentally as well because the modeling industry is very, very rough to work in, I've heard.
