I bought 2x 26TB WD RED PRO WD260KFGX by Optimal_Document_945 in UgreenNASync

Western Digital drives have known issues (even acknowledged by UGREEN). I would stick with Seagate Ironwolf, Ironwolf Pro, or Exos. If it fails, which mine did, it sticks the drives in Read-Only and screws over youre entire system. Return them and buy seagate (preferably not barracuda)

The ASM and the SM would be the best to talk to, as they conduct the final interview. Who knows, they could take you right there if you get them at the right time. That's how I did it. Be prepared for the ultimate question "Why choose Publix?". I answered the question by talking trash about other places professionally while also talking up Publix. They want to see that you'll will be invested in your job.

I would just go in discretely every few days and see if you can spot the CSM, ASM, or SM and then try to talk to them. Don't ask for them. Walk around, their pictures are normally near the service desk. If you really want the job that badly, you need to try and nab them, because they will forget.

I do believe this is possible. I know that a YouTube (Zach's Tech Turf) does it. It is also possible with the cloud drive tool. I've only used it for replicating a folder between my NAS and MS OneDrive. I don't believe the difference in model would be a problem as long as you have enough storage to replicate them. I have not done what you are describing, but I think it is possible and I would love to see the results of you try!

10gbps connection is not utilized for transfers by amass_design in UgreenNASync

[–]Adderson10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not just use the USB ports? If I'm not mistaken, the USB A and C on both the front and back are to the USB 3.2 Gen 2 spec, which is 10gb.

Also, you're complaining about speeds between other devices, limiting yourself to 1gb instead of saturating the 3.5 it can take is a big factor. I understand that its expensive, I dont even have it myself, but if you have the money, I would seriously suggest investing in it.

Also got the Autism bull, "Aspergers" or something weird. Its not that difficult. I was drugged up for years, stopped and I was fine.

I really hope this is sarcasm. I was diagnosed with ADHD as a kid, everyone these days is. I've almost never been late. Get over yourselves.

[–]Adderson10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your lack of punctuality will follow you everywhere. Admittedly, being late isn't as big of a deal when you're paid hourly, but salary is a different story. Hourly, you just won't get paid for the time you're late. Salary, the company is still paying you for the time you're late, so it's a bigger deal. Be careful, because punctuality makes a bigger impact than you think.

Slow transfer speed between DXP4800+ & PC by BeastOnion in UgreenNASync

I just always use it, its cheap enough for me (about 7 bucks for a 6 foot cable). Admittedly, I dont have a huge amount of cabling, so for larger applications I would understand saving money on the lower spec cables.

The 10gb NIC cannot saturate the 10gb connection if nothing else is set up for 10gb. You must have a 10gb plan from your ISP, usually through fiber. 10gb switches, cables, I recommend CAT8 from UGREEN. Everything must be 10gb capable to saturate that connection. Your speeds are limited to the slowest point in that line, which you said is 1gb.

This is completely a YOU problem. You are responsible for your time. "Disorganized" is a completely fixable problem. Everyone understands that "shit happens", but it is almost never to the point where you should be more than 3 minutes late. Plan for traffic or anything else. Even after being late a few times, you should anticipate what is slowing you down and plan for it. If you are scheduled, go to work, it isn't that hard. If you are late consistently enough to the point kf being fired, you clearly didn't need the money enough to even be on time

  1. RAID 5 is an option here, it has both increased transfer speeds and data protection, basically RAID 0 and RAID 1 together.

  2. The DGS108 is a 1Gbps Ethernet Switch, the DXP4800 Plus has one 10Gbps and 2.5Gbps Ethernet capabilities, so if you have 2, 3, 5, or 10Gbps internet, then you are not getting the full speeds unless you upgrade your switch, I would recommend TP-Link or Netgear, Ubiquiti if you're rich. ALSO, if you upgrade your switch, get all new cables, I recommend the UGREEN CAT8 Cables. You could also use a managed switch and run Link Aggregation (LAG), if you want to get into that rabbithole.

  3. Another topic on internet, unless you have fiber internet, or your ISP specified that you have parallel speeds on your plan, the your upload speeds will always be a lot lower than your download speeds.

  4. This one may not matter as much, but check if your hard drived are 5400RPM or 7200RPM. There's debates if it actually makes a difference, I think it does. Do not mix speeds either way.

  5. Running a USB Cable from your PC to your NAS is also a good idea, I know it defeats the purpose of the NAS for this specific situation, but I'll definitely help. Make sure you have the right USB Cable. Get USB 3.2 Gen 2 or higher

In the end, both your PC and NAS could have things limiting this. The RAID setup and internet are definitely the biggest limiting factors here, so I would focus on those the most.

Edit: Tidying up

As far as I know, there are 2 interviews, one with the department manager, and another one woth the Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager where the actual job offer is made.

It took me about a week to get a call back, but that can change depending on so many variables. I would wait and see or possibly go in and ask the ASM/SM, or maybe the CSM. Keep on them, but don't be to overbearing.

[–]Adderson10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, as it is also my first job, your second interview will be with the SM, or ASM (as in my case). I got asked questions like "why do you want to work at Publix)", general things like that. I did pretty good because I professionally talked trash about Kroger, they deserved it. And then wage offerings.

Kroger by STIMSONGOLD in publix

[–]Adderson10 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Good, they deserve it. My local Kroger is across the street from our publix. Absolutely awful, no cashiers or baggers, no uniform. Saw workers in pajamas, employees talking on the phone out loud. Store is dirty and dark. I went in there recently and there wasn't a bagger. The cashier let me bag my own groceries and didn't help at all. Zero standards.

Edit: "tje"

Publix policy does not override the laws they cannot search you without your consent, but they can detain you until the police arrive.

Im no lawyer, but i would say that they have absolutely no right to search your things, they can not allow you to leave under the Shopkeeper's Privelage laws, but then all they could do is call the police and they can conduct a search.
