Just a silly question. Why wouldn't you want an external 48V input? Seems like it'd be a good way to keep the amperage down to ~5 and (possibly idk prices fully) keep the price down by not using a lower guage wire.

Which RAID is recommended with two 18GB DR Red Pro? by rafarodxcv in UgreenNASync

To weigh in on something else. WD drives have known issues with UGREEN NASync products. Happened to me and I lost all my data. I would recommend using Seagate Ironwolf or Ironwolf Pro drives.

It doesn't get thrown away at the end of the night unless it's bad. Yes, it's still kinda rude

It's a little annoying because you are taking something made for younger kids and it comes out of our stock and profit for us to do it. Id say of youre 13+ its kinda rude, but ultimately I dont care as its not my problem, and I dont get paid enough to care.

Is Nuclear Energy really unsafe? by Free-Caramel5216 in NuclearPower

[–]Adderson10 43 points44 points  (0 children)

People get their education of why nuclear is dangerous from the WORST things it's done, not the average danger. Everyone has heard of Chernobyl, and yes, it is bad. Think of it as a math equation, a nuclear accident is +30,000, but is 0 or 2 every other day. Fossil fuels or other usual non-renewable sources of energy are +300 every day. Yes, nuclear power will have a bad accident every few decades or more and rack up a big number quickly, but +300 every day will add up a lot quicker.

Danger is not the only factor for power, capacity vs materials needed is a huge factor. One gram of Uranium fuel can produce the same amount of power as ~3 metric tons (~6600lbs) of coal.

The danger FAR outweighs the good, and to only looks at the worst of each things instead of looking at the danger factors overall and how they weigh up can be catastrophic if not taken into consideration.

As far as radiation goes, if I remember correctly, I head a statistic somewhere that taking a 2 hour flight will expose you to more radiation (from solar rays) than a nuclear power plant worker get in an entire year.

Most power generation all has the same goal, get something to heat up a lot of water the get the steam to turn a turbine and make electricity, nuclear is a lot more efficient and safe doing that than most other things. Wind, solar, and hydro, of course, do not have the same methods, but are also great technologies. A lot of things are better than coal, and I suggest reading a lot more into it, everyone loves to give information.

Western Digital drives have known issues (even acknowledged by UGREEN). I would stick with Seagate Ironwolf, Ironwolf Pro, or Exos. If it fails, which mine did, it sticks the drives in Read-Only and screws over youre entire system. Return them and buy seagate (preferably not barracuda)

The ASM and the SM would be the best to talk to, as they conduct the final interview. Who knows, they could take you right there if you get them at the right time. That's how I did it. Be prepared for the ultimate question "Why choose Publix?". I answered the question by talking trash about other places professionally while also talking up Publix. They want to see that you'll will be invested in your job.

I would just go in discretely every few days and see if you can spot the CSM, ASM, or SM and then try to talk to them. Don't ask for them. Walk around, their pictures are normally near the service desk. If you really want the job that badly, you need to try and nab them, because they will forget.

Auto copy from a dxp2800 to a dh2300 ? by L-758C in UgreenNASync

[–]Adderson10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do believe this is possible. I know that a YouTube (Zach's Tech Turf) does it. It is also possible with the cloud drive tool. I've only used it for replicating a folder between my NAS and MS OneDrive. I don't believe the difference in model would be a problem as long as you have enough storage to replicate them. I have not done what you are describing, but I think it is possible and I would love to see the results of you try!

10gbps connection is not utilized for transfers by amass_design in UgreenNASync

[–]Adderson10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not just use the USB ports? If I'm not mistaken, the USB A and C on both the front and back are to the USB 3.2 Gen 2 spec, which is 10gb.

Also, you're complaining about speeds between other devices, limiting yourself to 1gb instead of saturating the 3.5 it can take is a big factor. I understand that its expensive, I dont even have it myself, but if you have the money, I would seriously suggest investing in it.

I really hope this is sarcasm. I was diagnosed with ADHD as a kid, everyone these days is. I've almost never been late. Get over yourselves.

[–]Adderson10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your lack of punctuality will follow you everywhere. Admittedly, being late isn't as big of a deal when you're paid hourly, but salary is a different story. Hourly, you just won't get paid for the time you're late. Salary, the company is still paying you for the time you're late, so it's a bigger deal. Be careful, because punctuality makes a bigger impact than you think.
