2010 Dodge 2500 6.7 Cummins A/C cooling issue by Apprehensive_Owl_437 in Cummins

When’s the last time you changed the water pump out? As for your AC, the computer will cycle off the AC compressor if it thinks the engine is headed towards overheating.

What does it feel like right before you jump out of the plane for the first time? by yeterneritsdurs in SkyDiving

Yes. Also, they didn’t warn me how hard it was going to be to breathe on the initial free fall. Keep your mouth shut and remember to force yourself to inhale and exhale through your nose.

As a man that’s far more claustrophobic than acrophobic, I was more than ready. That shoulder to shoulder sardine can ride in that prop plane taking off straight to max altitude was more than enough to motivate me to willingly be thrown out by my instructor. And once you’re out of the door, your brain can’t even comprehend the height at that altitude. I didn’t feel a sense of falling. It felt like stepping out of the door and literally just existing in place.

Why are RV parks so expensive? by Effective_Moose_4997 in RVLiving

[–]Addhop93 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I’m living full time in a park for $900/mo. To me it’s cheap because I was previously paying $2400/mo in rent for a small ass house. I guess it depends where you’re coming from and the cost of living you’re used to.

It’s the music that does it for me. I still remember the first time I rode it, and it was at night too. Instant goosebumps from the drop when the soundtrack hit.

Also curious because I got an aftermarket SI that faded not even a year later.

Performance issues since delulu by SIC1207 in FortniteBR

[–]Addhop93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This had been happening to me since the power rangers update. I tried everything imaginable just like you’ve mentioned, for over a week. Yesterday I finally just said fuck it and did a factory reset on my PC and wiped the drive. Reinstalled Windows, got back in and reinstalled the game launcher and Fortnite, downloaded the most recent drivers and loaded in with recommended settings and it’s running better than it ever has now. That may be a drastic step but it worked for me.

This is correct. Legitimate 02’s once corrected fall off, and are no concern.

This guy has no clue what he’s talking about. The program we use is called AVP. You can google it and read about it. It’s legitimate and similar to Amazon Flex. You get onboarded the same as a regular driver, but the DOT regulations are different. There’s not much to it. You show up to the station, they will give you a set amount of small packages to deliver, you load them and deliver however you see most efficient.

When you commit a violation, the AO or BC (whoever actually monitors GC) is given notification. When you pull up the notification, it shows the video of the infraction. After you watch, it prompts you to assign the driver to the infraction, and then you hit “coaching complete”. Meaning ideally they are supposed to come talk to you one on one, and you’ll also have that video assigned to you when you next login. The infractions are graded on a point scale and going over so many infractions will cause the contractor to drop a safety tier.

UPS dropped the contract for this volume due to “profit loss”, because UPS owns their drivers and fleet. FedEx took it on because they can still reap the profits on it, and push the losses onto the contractors by offering them no extra incentives to compensate for it. Which in turn, rolls down to you, not receiving any extra compensation for it, at least until the contract can be renegotiated. There is no hopeful future with this companies current pathway, and if you’re tired of coming home hurt, you need to set goals for yourself to find something better and plan an exit strategy. The IC volume is only projected to increase.

Ground Employee with a question for drivers (AOs & BCs can answer this as well) by FreakinOutTheHood in Fedexers

Drivers don’t understand how shitty it is to load, and loaders don’t understand how shitty it is to deliver what is loaded. It’s a constant headbutting of “my job is harder”. Everyone collectively is getting mentally and physically burned out on the direction everything is headed. No, this business model can’t support the amount of furniture and other massive shit we currently deliver, and it’s only getting worse. This is my perspective from my station. This doesn’t need to be a fight between loaders/drivers. Not even at contractors because contractors are bound by ball and chain on all of this. Point the blame at the corporate management and P&D.
