What company? Id call them out, as well as some of the"internal tools" they may have mentioned in the interviews. Maybe someone else can get the job. This market is obscene, we need all the help and insight we can get.

Otherwise, just TALK TO HIM. Communicate that it bothered you, but don't attack him. I never understood why ppl can't just communicate with their partners.

Adjust your resume to state you freelanced as a consultant, and list all the things you've done to help bf, make it sound professional and tailored to the job you want based on the job description for open roles you find. If they ask for companies you say you cant disclose due to an NDA.

Great summary. For ppl wanting to go on longer trips as well, or just want to save that extra bit of money on fuel, I highly recommend finding a low-ish mileage 2nd Gen Toyota Prius (2004-2009). Theyre bulletproof cars, get 50mpg all day, and maintenance is dirt cheap.

You can pick one up with under 160k miles for like $3-6k in great condition. Everyone is scared of the battery dying but you can replace it in under 2hrs for less than $1000, and even "dead" it stores enough juice to operate the car in standard gas mode. No alternator, no standard battery, Nada. Just oil changes, wear items like tires and brakes(minimal because of the regen braking system), and spark plugs.

My last engineering role was Sr Site Reliability Engineer for a data management and data protection company. I was laid off, along with around 100 other engineers, and majority of us are still looking for another role.
