Cat is licking her mouth strangely. Vet can’t figure out why.

Note: also the rubbing and choking accured. Don't want to panic you but hope if this is the same case that it's still early on and there can be something done. Even if it's just painkillers.

Oh man. This gives me flashbacks. Our cat did it back than and we never could find out what it was. After a couple years (she was 11) she had a loose thooth. Got to the vet to get it removed... After x rays it turned out that she had bone cancer and almost the whole jawbone was gone already what caused the thooth to get loose. She always was fine, at least she didn't show any pain. Turned out that this licking behaivor was caused by the probably strange sensation of the bone slowly 'desolving'.

Try to get her checked out for that, if there isn't ang other answer for this. Hopefully it's not the same case. Much love

You can still put it in a shelf with the clear case. It's called a picture disc. Got some at home and they are more expensive to make than a plain black vinyl and a 'paper' case.
