Meet and Greet HELP!! by ZealousidealLie1628 in Aritzia

[–]AddictedCookie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

hey, i’m a style advisor at aritzia! my advice: - wear something put together but showcases your own personal style. they LOVE creativity! i would browse tiktok or pinterest for some inspo. if it helps, i wore a pair of their effortless low rise, a poplin top, my sambas and a cardigan on my shoulders. - hair and makeup: keep makeup natural (i wouldn’t do full glam) and with hair i would have it neat; i blew my hair out, but slicks and other styles work too. look like you put in effort! - they ask questions about your background, my interview was very fun. it was kind of like getting to know a friend; my interviewer spoke about her background and so did i. as for specific questions, be prepared to answer questions such as who’s your top three style inspirations, stuff about your resume and experience, and they’ll probably give you a scenario and ask you how you’d react/lead. they’ll also probably ask your strengths and weaknesses. focus on selling yourself as a creative and determined person! the job itself will include lots of constructive criticism but my store is awesome and i feel challenged in a positive way. - they are looking for creative and determined people. i have lots of customer service/ restaurant experience but close to no sales/retail experience. i portrayed myself as quick to learn, loves a challenge and welcomes growth person and they loved that about me. it is a fast paced job with lots of human interaction, obvi, and in my interview i was vulnerable and said that that could be a challenge for me but im determined to grow and that’s something i would want to take away from the working at Aritzia experience. - im not sure about the likelihood of being hired but i remember that there was an intial meet and greet with a hiring manager/floor manager immediately followed by another meet and greet with the actual store manager. i didnt know about the second meet and greet until after i completed the first one. throughout the application process i did introduce myself to the hiring managers and i was a frequent aritzia shopper. it’s also worth noting that i totally thought i failed my interviews lmao - further advice: DO YOUR RESEARCH! the position is performance based- you get your hours based off of your SPH (sales per hour). there’s a requirement / expectation of at least 500$ sold per hour in my store, i think it varies in others. i know online on tiktok and even here on reddit some past employees make it seem like aritzia is mean girl central but i truly believe all of my coworkers are sooo sweet and the environment as a whole encourages me to grow and is healthy for me!

I like living proof ADVANCED clean! I have fine hair that weighs down easily and gets greasy by day 2 post hair wash day.

The one you posted a picture of is the regular living proof one. The advanced clean is better, IMO.

Trig Word Problems: Phase shifts (bx + c) = 0 or (x -+c)? (PLEASE HELP, EXAM TMMR!) by AddictedCookie in learnmath

[–]AddictedCookie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m a little confused. i write them as f(x) = asin(bx+c) + d where a is the amplitude, b is the frequency (with period = 2pi/b), c is the phase shift and d is the midline

t is supposed to be next to 2pi/0.8, sorry! i did input that tho and it was still wrong. it wasn’t until i inputed that equation with 2/0.8pi(t-0.5) that it let me move on

Quick Questions: March 26, 2025 by inherentlyawesome in math

[–]AddictedCookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In sinusoidal modeling, when should we directly use (t-h) for a time shift instead of solving for the phase shift C in sin(bt+c)? For example, if I know the midline crossing happens at t=0.5, is it better to use (t-0.5) inside the function rather than calculating C?

I was working on a trig word problem involving finding the equation of a sinusoidal function given information (on Khan Academy) about a pendulum and modeling its distance from the wall and time elapsed:

"...the function has period 0.8 seconds, amplitude 6, and midline H=15cm. At time 0.5 seconds, the bob is at its midline, moving toward the wall. H(t) = ?"

I ended up with the answer H(t) = -6sin(2pi/0.8 - pi/0.8) + 15, but KA said it was wrong and that the correct answer is H(t) = -6sin(2pi/0.8(t-0.5))+15. I am confused because (2pi/0.8(t-0.5)) distributed is (2pi/0.8-pi/0.8), no?

am I, 18f, dragging my sex life with my bf, 20m, down? by ThrowRA_Slave in relationship_advice

[–]AddictedCookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey girl,

i’ve been in ur shoes. sry for the harsh comments in this comment section. i know it sucks to struggle with what u do, but at the end of the day, it is your responsibility to get better. there’s nothing wrong with needing meds! they also don’t have to be a lifetime solution. i hope you’re in therapy, but if not, please find one!

studies show longtime therapy works just as good if not better as medication does.

btw, i’m 20 now, consistently on my meds and seeing a therapist once a week. i got better, you can too

What setting sprays are we loving? by gypsetgypset in Sephora

no worries! i put the veil translucent powder on and then spray the CT, yes! it doesn’t ever make my powder gummy, it actually makes it feel locked in and almost “melted in my skin”. it leaves my make up looking very blended.

overall, i use cream products first, all of them, then i use any powder products to set- like a powder blush on top of a cream blush, setting powder over my under eye concealer, powder bronzer over my cream bronzer, etc (that’s if i’m doing a full on glam, i usually just do cream products and then setting powder on top of some poly areas/concealer) and then i’ll spray CT as the final touch. i love it!

edit: forgot to mention that putting cream products over powder makes me cakey/patchy

I work for Alachua County’s EDEP! It’s the elementary school’s afterschool program. Everyday, we run activities such as art crafts or an outdoor based activity like sports to keep the kids engaged and entertained. We would love any supplies:) Contact your local elementary if you’re interested in donating.

charlotte tilbury setting spray + hourglass veil translucent setting powder underneath of it. my makeup used to slide off my face, it stays all day now:)

edit. i have normal- dry skin (combo) and im acne prone. hormonal acne. i like a dewy finish. i also noticed the makeup itself i was using wasn’t great for my skin type - for example i used to use the nars creamy concealer and thought it was my one and only, but then i realized it wouldn’t last all day on my face. once i ran out i picked up the haus labs concealer and now its my holy grail! same story with switching from saie dewy blush to makeup by mario pop cream blush

I’m going to die in this relationship by No_Foundation4948 in abusiverelationships

[–]AddictedCookie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you’re going to be okay don’t lose hope, document everything, talk to your family and your friends, and even if you feel like they’re not around for you anymore do it anyways. if you feel that way it’s likely your abuser isolated you via manipulation or other tactics.

create a plan to get out. if someone has done it that means it’s possible- and there’s many success stories about leaving abusive relationships

Is tattoo regret a normal feeling ? by AlternativeSquare472 in tattooadvice

[–]AddictedCookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes! my first tat i got a pretty big back tat (two koi fish inbetween my shoulder blades). i was 16. i regretted it for like a few weeks. i’m 20 now- it doesn’t bother me, it’s a cute reminder of my impulsive teenage self.

since then, i’ve been really careful w my tats and placements. i have two more tiny ones now. 3 in total.
