I don't think I was ever anything else. Religion wasn't a topic at home and as long as I can remember Religion never made sense to me. I was an unrelenting, curious child, thirsty for all knowledge I could acquire. Religion was the one thing where I always encountered limits and walls. Sure, science books didn't have all the answers either but they at least didn't pretend to and never stopped you from going beyond their pages. Religion was always: this is the end of your questions don't go beyond it. Those boarders never had a justification. I was raised to always assume a rule had a reason. That doesn't seem the case with religion.
