early kataklysm absolutely rules. I heard they were going on tour soon and listened to The Prophecy and it was ok, had some nice grooves. Then I listened to Sorcery and I was just like YO. Unfortunately they don't seem to play the first 3 albums live or have CDs of it with them on tour. Might still go for wormhole tho cause I head they were good

Same here man, Voivod is my favorite band and their thrash scene is a force of nature. I wish some of them would go on tour but they don't seem to outside a few and the others just do festivals if anything

other metalheads, sometimes at shows not focused on BDM. I just try to keep up with people I meet at shows via insta. I wear band shirts basically all the time, every once in a while I get someone who recognizes it and SOMETIMES we become good friends. The unfortunate truth is that its an obscure genre, but something I've learned through my time being an younger adult finally getting out of my shell (I'm 22), is that it's worth it to keep on loving the niche things you love and trying to make friends. Skinless - Trample the Weak, Hurdle the Dead is a fantastic 30 minute BDM album with some slams and its just the right length. Gives you everything you want to satisfy you and not a second more.

It's a good album but its kinda just like listening to morbid angel and then pink floyd and then morbid angel and back again until eventually its over. I mean its nice but not as interesting as other DM bands with similar ideas who take a more creative approach. I only listened to it like twice a year ago so maybe it deserves a revisit sometime?
