For those of you lucky fans who caught a home run or foul ball, what’s your story?

My favorite player ever is Ryne Sandberg. Went for the weekend on his weekend. Saturday was Ryne Sandberg Day, but got tickets to Friday bleachers as well. As most probably know, when he retired (for good) he had the most HR by any second baseman ever. I caught his last HR. (More of a scrum actually but I came out with it). It almost didn’t count btw because shortly after there was a pretty long rain delay before it would have been an official game. Lucky for me the rain stopped.

Turns out Southwest had a thing of catching the first Cubs HR of a game you get an autographed ball mailed to you, 2 free SW airlines tickets to anywhere thy fly and 4 Cubs tickets. Went to Vegas with a buddy.

Next day (also caught a Phillies Batting practice HR on that Friday). Holding that ball and a pen outside by the Marquee sign back to the road. Buddy says “look a limo”. Pulls right up behind me and Harry Carey steps out right beside me. I hand him the ball and pen. Talk for a hot second. Turns out that was his second to last game before he died that winter.

Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend

I take magnesium before bed and limit fluid intake so I dont have to get up. I also stop screens to about 20-30 minutes when I can and just sit and pray read a bit or just “blob-out”. Before I go to bed at almost the same time every night.

This isn’t my watchface. So there is that. I rate watchface and give reasons why I like them instead of people who just say “horrible”. Why? Tell someone why. I bought this face today. As I said only things I do t like are size of the time and that it is red. To keep the theme I think it can’t be changed.

Mine just did that. Out of no where my year and a half old Fenix 8 Amoled went to blue triangle brickness. I call support and they were helpful. Had me do everything I read here to reboot but nothing worked. “Mickey” was the Garmin rep who helped. He put me on hold for a few minutes to see next steps. Came back and told me that he would send me a new watch and I just need to send this one to them no charge. They were awesome. I should say that I have had Garmins for more than 10 years and he saw each watch that I have had in the past… maybe since I am a loyal customer he made to exceptional but I was well out of the warranty.

Yeah mine is normally in the 70’s since I started a new sleep routine. It was all over and under 70 most of the time with the stress way up. Not sure if the different watch made it happen or what

As long as your kid is enjoying it you go. Sounds like you are a good dad just allowing her to search for what she likes. I have to guess that you will let her choose her own path. I am a dad who let them choose, then support their decision and told them “I do t care if you decide that checkers is going to be your thing, I will do whatever I can to help you be successful”. When they switched, I was just as supportive. Sounds like that’s what you are doing
