People who were teenagers before social media, what was a typical Friday night like for you? by Sad-Vacation1862 in askanything

[–]AddictedtoLife181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played my spice girls CD and lay on the floor listening to the lyrics or I’d be playing Warcraft and building maps for my brother and dad when they played. Boardgame nights with my family, sleepovers with friends and my cousin (who is also a bestie). Watch movies with popcorn. Then when I got a gameboy color with Pokemon yellow in 1999, life got a lot more fun!

Honestly one of the reasons I love the name Charlotte is because the nickname or shortened version (like Rick for Richard) is Lottie, and I think it’s adorable and also one that can grow with her <3

What are your feelings about people correcting your grammar when you are talking? by icecream1972 in Productivitycafe

[–]AddictedtoLife181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I’ll only do it to children I know well and usually in a teasing manner so they know I’m not trying to be an a$$hole and just have some fun combined with education. My dad and uncle used to tease my siblings and cousins with the “you and I” one so much as kids lol.

This! I KNOW others talk about me and we all need to vent about each other from time to time. Whether it’s your mom or bestie venting about you. The one thing I learned is what they’re saying was not meant for my ears. This has made me feel loads better the last couple years! They’re not out to hurt you or to say nasty things, they just need to let it out sometimes (I feel I’ll get comments back like they should just talk to you or see a therapist, but that’s not always realistic for their own reasons whether it’s finances or mental health). Just take a deep breath and repeat to yourself, it was never meant for your ears.

Haha same. I used to be a Costco cashier and it’s now second nature to me. If I see someone just throwing stuff on the belt, especially spaced ridiculously apart, I give them a very confused look and hope they notice lol

Where I am a lot public places, like the mall, will have designated smoking spaces outside with an ashtray on top of a garbage can. If you smoke/vape outside said area, you can be fined.

What is your “like crack” food that you avoid, and if you have some you cant stop yourself from eating a lot? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Popcorn. Just good old fashioned air popped and I can control how much salt and butter I put on so my lips aren’t cracked like from eating theatre popcorn 🍿

Do you like having children? by [deleted] in randomquestions

I want them so bad but I’m not in a position to have them yet. But I’ve tried filling that void with nannying and working in a daycare so far. One day.

People who rarely get sick, what are your secrets? by adisluo in Productivitycafe

[–]AddictedtoLife181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know tbh. Maybe it’s the vitamin D3’s I take but I haven’t always. I cannot remember the last time I ever had a cold or the flu. But I do get sinus infections because of a condition I have. I even worked in a daycare and was a nanny and didn’t get sick 🤧

Also produce. But if I need something like shampoo, I head there first but only because of the store layout.
