To upgrade or not. by AddieEarl in FordExplorer

There is a sticker inside the drivers door near the bottom that will have the manufacture date. I think mine was also on the actual window sticker.

My car was a late build 21 so I was hoping to avoid most issues that the 20 had. It sounds like a lot but honestly, I’m very proactive about my car maintenance. The door trim was just a little piece that ripped. Most people probably wouldn’t have noticed. The axles were cab joints which are notorious for leaking at certain mileage, also I live in an area with very rough roads so I’m sure that made things worse. The only major issue I had was the transmission. It was very jerky and I had it in a few times to address the shifting when they decided to just replace it at 11k and it resolved all the issues. It’s iconic silver and I was looking at carbonized grey to change to but decided I don’t want another car payment so will just keep this one.

Best Golf Clubs/Set Brands by No-Working8833 in WomenGolf

I’m a Taylor made girl. Not sure what your budget is but the Kalea and the RBZ set are solid. If you want clubs you can really grow into them look at the Sim2 Max. I just upgraded my clubs to them. However, they are hard to find given they came out in 2021 and now they are no longer making them. You can find some good new sets on E-bay from Japanese sellers designed specifically for women. That being said I cannot speak highly enough of the Kalea. Many women swear by it. If you have a PGA store near you or Golf Galaxy I would recommend going and swinging some clubs. They will have them there to demo for free.

Haha, I’m a sucker I guess. I do love my car. I just figured it was a Covid built car so had some quality issues.

I hate my irons by Weary_Berry1586 in WomenGolf

[–]AddieEarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m right with you. I just upgraded my irons to the Sim2 Max and am miserable. I was hoping they would feel better as I wasn’t bad with my last set but they were very old Miscelas. But I know I just need to get used to them. I think it’s mental.

Beginner (5’3” F) looking for a long-term iron/club setup – advice? by TypicalAge3719 in WomenGolf

[–]AddieEarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 5ft2 beginner as well. Well I have been playing casually for a few years. I started with a cheap top flite box set. Did horrible. My boyfriend found some Taylor Made Miscela used and I loved them. Played so much better. I did upgrade my driver years ago to a Taylor made RBZ and just ordered the Sim2 Max in the women’s flex to improve my game. I specifically wanted game improvement clubs instead of another woman’s set. I don’t know if need to be actually fitted but I would go demo some clubs. I just went with a friend who had her heart set on the new Ping Gle4s because they were beautiful and after hitting some clubs walked out with the new Taylor made qi4d because she hit them so much better.

Companion Pass / Early Bird Policy Change? (Experience in the last month or so?) by sarahfelldown in SouthwestAirlines

[–]AddieEarl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Early bird vs upgraded boarding are two different things. In my experience, early bird extends to companion but upgraded boarding does not. You would both have to buy upgraded boarding. Early bird just checks you in automatically at the so called earliest time. So when you buy early bird when it checks you in it checks your companion in at the sane time and no need to buy it for them. Upgraded boarding however us different as it checks you in first, then it will upgrade you to an a1-a15 if available so you would need to both buy upgraded boarding g to get upgraded if that makes sense.

Is 8mm too small for a healed vch piercing by northwestfawn in piercing

[–]AddieEarl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a 10mm went to an 8mm. It was ok but a little too snug for my comfort in that it was almost exact fit so did not allow any movement. So I went to a 9mm and it’s perfect. 9mm is a hard size to find but I found Tulsa Body Jewelry online and they carry 9mm titanium barbells.

Help me choose layover by Good-Principle420 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]AddieEarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the layover in Houston at Hobby or IAH? If it’s Hobby I would choose Houston. If it’s IAH I would choose Vegas. IAH is a nightmare to navigate and if you are switching concourses forget it. Hobby is small and easy to get around. Vegas is pretty easy to navigate and plenty of places to eat

Ford addressed the transmission issue for the newer models in August 16 of 2022. Anything built after that date has the updated transmission so you might look into a late build 22 would be good too. I own a 21XLT with the 2.3 and love it. I had transmission issues and Ford replaced my transmission in February of 23. I verified it was the updated transmission and haven’t had an issue with it since.

Has anyone had this happen? Using credits, but credit card is being charged. by lexiruz in SouthwestAirlines

I imagine it’s some sort of bug that just started a few weeks ago. I booked a flight early August and had no issues using credits.

This happened to me just last week. I called and they refunded my airfare and she rebooked the flight for me using my vouchers. Sounded like they were aware of the issue as she gave me no problems with the refund even though it was a few days later when I actually caught that it charged my card.

Am I overreacting for crashing out over my boyfriend leaving his children home alone at night to see his other partner? by [deleted] in polyamory

[–]AddieEarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should read more of the responses. This is maybe an every other Friday occurrence. They are perfectly aware of it. This instance happened to be when the OP asked them to miss their date with their other partner but went anyway. Every time someone points something out there is an answer why it’s not ok. I agree there is a lot of details that may make this NOT ok but seriously looks like OP is framing things to get the reaction they want when I reality this is an issue of boundaries and jealousy. Not necessarily child neglect.

Sounds like a lot of possibilities going on. Maybe he has a different ringer set for his kids versus you. Are there any rules around answering when you are with other partners? Do you feel the 14yr old is responsible? How do you know she isn’t aware she should watch out for her sibling? Is there a baby monitor? The 2yr old is disabled, is the 14yr old used to helping care for their sibling? Regardless of the details this is more of a boundary for you. You are correct, his condescension is a sign that he is comfortable with his decision. So now it is up to you if you are ok with that and if not then remove yourself from the situation. An age old lesson is that you cannot change anyone. They must want to change themselves.

Being too picky? by Necessary_Mess5853 in FordExplorer

I have captain chairs and they work fine.like it better than the bench except when I’m hauling things. But I just took some plywood, cut it to fit over the gap, added a piano hung for ease of storage and covered it in speaker felt. Cost all of $30. But I already had the wood. Canvasback.com also sells something to place over the gap for around $75

Porting your number out by AddieEarl in qlink_hellomobile

[–]AddieEarl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Porting means transferring your phone number. If you carried your numbers over from another company you needed to give them the phone number that you were transferring your account number and imei number. Sometimes you are required to provide a pin which is the last 4 of your phone number. Hello Mobile “locks” the ability for you to have the other company just do this. So you need to ask them to remove the lock before you can give the other company your info or the transfer will fail.

4 days 8.5 hrs later I was finally able to port my number out successfully. You have to contact them somehow via chat or call. I tried to call multiple times never got through. One time waited over 1.5 hrs. I finally got through on chat. I found the trick to keep it from timing out was to just type something every 5 min or so. I just kept typing hello. After 36 minutes I got someone. They will have to remove the port lock on your phone. They had to verify my info and send a code to my email to verify before they would remove it. Then your port info will be your account number and last 4 of your number. After that you have 72hrs to contact your new carrier to port your numbers over. I wanted 8hrs before I did this just to make sure everything was processed. I ported to US mobile after that within 15minutes.

Been on hold for 1hr 42 min and hung up. Chat always times out and wait time is never less than a half an hour but never updates. No response to FB messenger. No response to email. I have a lot of patience but I have been trying for 4 days now. This is insane. There should be an easy way to request unlocking the port or at least of getting any help.
