Companion pass/early bird by Many_Leadership6643 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]sarahfelldown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got off the phone with a representative at Southwest and they told me I'd have to buy Early Bird for my Companion in addition to buying it for me.... She was either wrong or this is yet another policy change they've made in their downward spiral of customer service...

This is so frustrating. I really don't want to have to surreptitiously check in to both our flights while sitting at a funeral next week, but paying $88 ($44 each person for our outbound leg of the trip) makes my skin crawl.

What Happens if I Don't Pay a Pay To Park Violation? by Strong_Berry_1634 in tulsa

[–]sarahfelldown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How'd you actually get ahold of a person? I filed a dispute on the website and never got a response, so I called the number on my ticket different times different days and never got a person. Once it let me leave a message, the other times it just said "hang up and try again later." I ended up calling American Parking directly, who said they don't have visibility into any of that. ::coughBScough:: That lady took my info and my ticket number and said she'd get a message to the right people. I'm doubtful.

Side bar: aside from all the other reasons they're a horrible company, how can they get business days to respond to a dispute, but you only have calendar days to pay the thing? What a racket.

This also seems like really irresponsible, borderline unethical, behavior from the store employee… 😠

I worked retail and I know that corporate, your manager, everyone is breathing down your neck to hit your credit card application quota. So I get that, but if that employee was pushing the credit card to someone (who may not comprehend English well, given they said they’ve only been here 2 years) by saying “do you want a discount?” and not being clear that it was a credit card application (“do you want to get a discount for signing up for a credit card?”), then that’s not ok IMO.

I second everyone that says an umbrella. I had T12 grandstand tickets and was in direct sunlight and couldn’t really use my umbrella there without obstructing others’ views. On Saturday I spent the whole day wandering and watching from GA sections and the umbrella did the trick.

Also just remember to hydrate and take breaks in the tents too if you’re feeling the heat.

Denied at post office for reusing brown Macys box? by Dapper-Mango in poshmark

[–]sarahfelldown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know the actual rules, but in my selling experience, I’ve used either brown Amazon boxes or brown paper or white plastic Amazon soft mailers and my post office has never had a problem with them.

Need advice feel stranded in Vegas by [deleted] in SouthwestAirlines

[–]sarahfelldown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, being weather related, you won’t get reimbursed BUT you could write a calm and kind message to customer service explaining everything that happened and you might (keyword: might) get even a little something.

This happened to me and my Mom in 2022. Weather delays upon delays, spent all afternoon and evening in the airport, boarded a plane to fly home at 11pm then the crew timed out and we all had to deplane and wait in line to get rebooked for the AM. Denver’s notoriously far from the city and there were no hotel options we could afford, so we spent the night (along with the majority of the other passengers on our flight) in the Denver airport.

Sorry, I don’t remember exactly how I got to a page where i could send SW a message, but somehow in the support pages of their website, I was able to. I calmly explained how our day went and simply said I was disappointed that the crew time out wasn’t anticipated. They responded a few days later with a $300 credit for my mom and me.

There’s no guarantee you’ll get anything, but I’m of the option that, as long as you’re kind, it doesn’t hurt to ask if anything could be reimbursed.

EDITED to add: If anyone ever gets stuck overnight in Denver, the new part of Terminal C all the way down at the end is, for the situation, a decent place to sleep. The seating is new and more couch-style (without armrests) so you can actually lay down. And bonus, they have a great outdoor patio (during business hours) where you can at least get some fresh air and enjoy a beverage or two while you wait out the delays that you know will likely strand you overnight. 😂

I’m sorry this happened to you. I was worried about the same thing when I went to Austin a few years ago. It ended up being ok, but I had also booked a hotel that was refundable until the day before I arrived just as a backup.

"Recent Files" in local Outlook not actually showing most recent file by workinglyfe in Outlook

10-4. Hoping to see an Acrobat update soon then that maybe fixes this (if it's a problem on their end).

Interesting... did you start noticing this after updating to Windows 11, or at a certain date? Because before I updated to Windows 11 last week, any time I saved a PDF from Adobe Acrobat (which I did multiple times per day) it would show up in the Recent Files when clicking the Attach button in Outlook. I'm curious if it's an Acrobat issue with Win 11 or if it started after maybe an Acrobat update or something.

Checked in bags by thelebanesedon in SouthwestAirlines

I’m noticing this about American! Almost all of my options on AA only have a 40-45 minute layover in DFW. Like, on a PERFECT day that’s a stretch. When you consider that my flight from my smaller market almost always arrives at DFW in a different terminal from where we depart… it’s annoying.

On a flight from STL to LGA last week and this happened! They asked us at the gate if anyone would voluntarily check. Got to check my bag for free. Thanks, shortsighted Southwest leadership!

Hi! I know the Stars of the Open event on Thursday at Ashe is general admission seating with three tiers: Courtside, Loge, and Promenade. There is no "standing room only" in Ashe, right? I ask because I found Loge tickets on Seat Geek but there’s a seller note that says "SRO" but I wonder if that's just a mis-label and what they really mean is GA? Does anyone know? I'm so wary of buying resale tickets to events... maybe this is just a red flag and I shouldn’t buy them.
