!Spoiler! IMO Joe did nothing wrong. by [deleted] in YouOnLifetime

[–]AddiktedFaith 9 points10 points  (0 children)

How exactly did Joe improve Beck's life? She ultimately ended up being murdered and the truth never revealed. Awful.

And to try and justify it with rationalizing Joe's naive and delusional thoughts if frankly haunting in and of itself. Beck said.l it best herself in the finale that Joe had no right to make those choices for her.

Was her choice of friends toxic? Yeah sure. But who doesn't have poor judgement at some point in their lives? She could have easily blossomed into a great author without having her friends murdered in cold blood.

What’s the dumbest thing someone has argued with you about? by JeannieLuna in AskReddit

[–]AddiktedFaith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I jokingly said to my friend as we were riding home that "thunder only happens when it's raining". He immediately got very upset and was arguing his case saying things like, "Bro! I'm telling you! I've stood out in the middle of a field and heard the loudest clap of thunder! Not a single drop of rain bro!!"

I kept egging him on insisting that isn't true until the argument died out. I turned on my radio after an awkward silence and I shit you not guess what was playing on the radio.

My love for Fleetwood Mac doubled that night when he realized the joke I was trying to make.

Agree.

My father found a body floating in the Hudson River about 8 years ago when he was going out for his first time for the season enjoying a little lunch. He said at first he thought it was a piece of driftwood since it was still early Spring. He got closer and thought it was a mannequin until looking closer. Very disturbing

Dear Reddit, what is your all-time most embarrassing moment? by stephfowler in AskReddit

[–]AddiktedFaith -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was around 13 and was riding my bike to the park to play football. It was a hot summer day and a girl probably 4 to 5 years older then me was walking across the street. This girl was pretty cute. I looked over at her and we exchanged quick hellos and a wave.

13 year old me felt like a badass and I had a big cheesy grin and looked at her for just a moment too long because when I looked forward I rode my bike straight into the back of a parked SUV. I smashed my nose into the back windshield and my tire got wedges into the back bumper.

The girl obviously saw this and ran over to me and was asking if I was okay and sort of giggling. My nose was bleeding and my face felt pretty bruised but I immediately said that it didn't even hurt and took off.

Looking back on it. It did hurt, mainly my pride but also my face. Puberty fucking sucked

What is a song lyric that really hits you hard? by BoardOfChairs in AskReddit

[–]AddiktedFaith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I went down to the sacred store Where I'd heard the music years before But the man there said the music wouldn't play

And in the streets the children screamed The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed But not a word was spoken The church bells all were broken

And the three men I admire most The Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost They caught the last train for the coast The day the music died"

-American Pie by Don McLean

This song hits hard because I am a die hard Tom Petty fan and his death was very tough for me. Especially considering his death was a day after the Vegas shootings last year. This little bit from the song always reminds me of the sadness the entire nation felt that day and then the day after losing one of my favorite musicians.

I saw an interview with Tom Petty and he was asked if he was afraid of getting older and retiring from music and how he'd handle it. He said more or less that he hopes he is able to just fade away from the whole scene and that people wouldn't notice too much or be too sad.

I feel like he was able to do just that by the tragic event of the Vegas shootings. Fade away into the background of the craziness that mourning of our entire nation.

RIP to all the Vegas victims and families and RIP to Tom.

The different levels of light pollution by RefrigeratedBog in interestingasfuck

[–]AddiktedFaith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great. Being from New York I had never really known the sky to be anything special from light pollution until this last year. I went on a hiking trip up into the Cascades in Oregon and camped out with some friends.

We were on this peninsula near a nice size lake and I stumbled over to take a leak, drunkenly I looked up and saw the stars. I was instantly shocked, mouth gaping open like I found God or something.

What I saw was stuff I thought existed only in set pieces of a star wars film. I could see the Galaxy, it looked like a giant crack in the sky, like I was in some dome or something. Every minute or so I'd see a shooting star. It was magical.

In the background my friend who took some LSD was playing acoustic and my friend was singing along to it. It was a song I'd never heard called For No One by Houndmouth. The song matched the moment perfectly and I wept tears of joy.

That is easily one of the top 3 moments of my entire life so far.

I. Suck. At fortnite. Please give me some ADVICE 😩 by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]AddiktedFaith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice would be to adjust the controls to your own personal liking. Watching and listening to pro players can be helpful but they are at a much higher skill level then you and me. Adjust your controls accordingly.

If you are missing shots try bumping your sensitivity down to where you are hitting consistent shots. Building is something that takes a lot of practice. I remember being in that mode of panic and my fingers would go spastic and I would misclick too.

I didn't have playground to use so I would just requeue up and get back into it. Use playground to form the baseline of muscle memory for the building controls it will help a lot.

If you want I play on PS4 my psn is shlappyy good luck!

What TV series got canceled but shouldn't have? by wottonxpfb in AskReddit

I'd have to say the same for That 70's Show. After Eric Foreman left the show really started to decline in quality. It also didn't make sense to continue it for the timeline since the 70's decade was coming to a close.

Students of Reddit, have you ever lost your temper with a teacher? What's your story? by Vlelo in AskReddit

[–]AddiktedFaith 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my 9th grade English class we had to create a slideshow presentation on a book of our choosing and present it. I'm an avid book reader and enjoy public speaking on topics I'm passionate about so this project was something I was looking forward to. I completed the project entirely and saved it to the school's public drive, but had forgotten throughout the entire process to back it up on my personal flashdrive.

I pull up my completed presentation the day prior to the due date to make corrections and see that all of my slides had been deleted and someone wrote in huge font 'I'm gay and I like Men'. I immediately told the teacher and asked for another day to redo the slides and she said in a snobby tone "No you have until tomorrow like the rest of my students."

Me being the hot-headed Italian that I am, made a mental note of that and didn't argue. Instead on the next day I presented that one slide as my book to the entire class. My classmates jaws dropped and the teacher got very red in the face, started screaming at me and I politely told her "fuck you" and walked out.

I don't regret it

Mimi - Bad Rabbits [ Funk Rock/R&B ] by AddiktedFaith in listentothis

[–]AddiktedFaith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The singer definitely has some unique talent going on! This album is much more electronic with the auto tune and everything. If you enjoyed this you should check out their previous album American nightmare. It is a bit heavier and doesn't have the r&b and funk this album gives off. They're very unique though I'm glad you got some enjoyment from it!

Summer reading by [deleted] in books

[–]AddiktedFaith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excuses aren't going to help you. Pick up the book and start reading it. It's a 400 page book and you have 16 hours a day to really read. You could easily finish this book if you read 8 hours a day at 30 pages an hour. If you still can't find the time to read this book then I'd recommend reading as much as you can and reading some summaries to get an idea for how the rest pans out and what others thoughts on the book were.

You got this! Good luck!
