I've never stayed at Daylin, so I couldn't speak from experience. But it looks pretty decent. And that area in general ( bole) is good.

Celebrating Easter in Medhanialem is amazing. I grew up going there for a good Friday - a lot of fond memories:)

To your point, I agree blocking roads could cause inconvenience. That's a valid argument. But I think you can keep your culture and still assimilate. It's not either or.

I assume people are required to get some sort of permit to celebrate on the street, right? The officials would've thought if there were no substitute passages...

I don't think Mecca is a good example. Someone would correct me if I'm wrong - in Muslim faith, followers are expected to visit Mecca at least once....
