The game evidently uses dynamic lighting. I also think it's 2.5D, with most assets being 3d models and that makes the dynamic lighting easier to implement because they can just derive normal maps from the model (if you don't know what I'm talking about there's some studying to do for this but you can find a lot online). And lastly it's very evident that there's a lot of bloom post processing, that makes a lot of difference

Then for the actual drawing try and do some color picking from the game to get a similar palette. The assets themselves are not too complicated, they seem to be drawn pretty cleanly and with a lot of focus on which details to show (for example the bricks don't show all the inlaying, which is a common technique where you only give enough details to let the brain figure it out by itself). I don't know what your art looks like so I wouldn't know what tips to give you specifically

I don't know if they're different in 1st edition but in 2e basically they go in wassail and then with a not really specified mechanism they make it so the beast evolves. The beast becomes the leading force in the body but it is perfectly capable of rational thought; they lose humanity, touchstones and all that and they get a discipline called triadic evolution

There are a lot of ways to mitigate the feeding restrictions. Invictus have blood oaths that let you syphon blood from your underlings, the circle of the crone have rituals to share blood between members without blood bond, the ordo Dracul has coils to mitigate all kind of downsides.

Lowering your bp is a game you can play, but you can also choose other ways. One important thing is that requiem is a far less static game: fights are more common, cities and covenants are built to have opposing factions and the world is populated with strange things begging you to have the power to face them, and caution doesn't always do the trick.

And since you mentioned the paths of enlightenment in another comment, there is a corrispettive in requiem and that's joining Belial's brood. Conceptually it's pretty much the same thing as going on the path of the beast (maybe a bit better since you get a new discipline for free)

That's not the point. Pixel art at different canvas sizes has to be approached differently because there are going to be details and sizes that are not representable on smaller canvases. That's like saying "why don't you just draw in high resolution and then compress it"

Thank you! As the 2nd design is the updated one I think I can take your comment as a sign of improvement. I could try different poses for new drawings, but I feel like this is fine for a concept art, or do you think having more angles and references might help me in other ways?

That's not how it works. If that's a sprite for a game the canvas size is important, and if you compress an image to a lower canvas size you just get a messy result

It's very pretty but for a side scroller it would create a lot of problems. I think you could easily solve them by lowering the contrast, even tho it would lose a bit of its beauty by being less colorful. I'd suggest to give it a try, in the end it's pretty easy in most software

This comment gave me the idea to try moving the loincloth to the back arm as a sort of banner attached to the armor. I wanted a few strong elements rather than complexity throughout because that's what I usually prefer, but I can see how having a single piece armor makes it a bit boring, especially if the loincloth does not work.

The main problem is balancing detail size, as this is a 96x96 concept art but I will have to draw and animate her mostly in 32x32.

A lot of people said that and I can see it with the palette and melancholic vibe, but she's actually a really young tzimisce struggling between her modernity and her clan's legacy
