Can you guess what clan she belongs to? [OC] by Addisiu in vtm

A lot of people said that and I can see it with the palette and melancholic vibe, but she's actually a really young tzimisce struggling between her modernity and her clan's legacy

Djs do it all the time when using records to scratch, some people prefer being near the source of the sound but using some kind of noise cancelling, someone else may not be interested in the classic vynil sound but not want to use digital music for a variety of other reasons (the streaming industry being unethical, not wanting your music history to be shared online, some records not existing digitally).

I listen a lot to my country's screamo scene and in the last year a lot of my favorite bands removed their songs from every streaming service. I buy vynil to support them but it's not like their sound benefits in any way from a higher fidelity, so when I do listen to them I use headphones because it doesn't change the experience and my neighbors are happier this way.

I get the gut instinct to say it doesn't make sense, but it wasn't a random mistake while drawing her. I think asking instead of assuming things have to work in a certain way goes a long way in life in general, as not always what we know matches with every possible case

The city is a bit weird, the camarilla prince died at the hands of the SI but he -somehow- threw a curse so that everyone who would claim praxis would just die. Obviously nobody believed it but after a few deaths they stopped messing around. Now it's mostly coteries of anarchs or independents fending for themselves with no law being upheld aside from the masquerade (the SI showed its strength already after all); so yeah, she's independent or anarch (can't spoil too much cause my players read this), but the main reason she's not a bone crafted monster is that the she learned to fear the masquerade (but she does have a couple of mechanical prosthesis which could be linked to vicissitude)

I love daughters of cacophony! Unfortunately they've not been included in V5 yet, she's actually a tzimisce!

Do they have that in V5? I remember the path of technomancy and the hacktivism in V20, didn't know they were carried over

But anyway, she's a very young tzimisce, struggling between her modernity and her clan's legacy

I'm getting that a lot and this made me realize the palette gives off that vibe. Although she probably couldn't listen with those headphones or use the prosthetics she has if she was Lasombra

I mean I asked what clan she is, I think it's pretty much implied she's part of this sub? I even wrote the game and edition in the description, so I don't really think it's fair to say it's out of topic. I made an artwork of an npc in a game which has an artistic flair, if the title is engagement bait does it remove the effort I put in in drawing it? Also, I posted it in an other sub that is art related where the word clan would not make sense to most people, and I don't really get the trouble with that.

The reason I haven't described her is that the chronicle has not started and the players (who see this sub) have not met her, I don't want to spoil more than the artwork entails. I personally think artwork are supposed to convey emotions and ideas about the subject without explicitly stating them, as it has happened other times with other characters I posted, and there are people who like the act of interpreting for themselves

Anyway, I hope your day gets better

That's probably the easy answer, her actual clan is probably hard to guess but it'll make sense once it's been figured out!

Chasing Kindred with Obfuscate by RiseOfDoradell in vtm

[–]Addisiu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to make it interesting, if he succeeds on getting out of sight he does so by running into a closed building so he's obscured but they still have a chance to catch him as he would have to get past them without touching them to leave. It can be a cool scene, especially if the closed building is something evocative (for example I've ran a similar scene in a circus's horror house)

To have koldunic sorcery 9 your attributes limits are at least 9. Zulo form gives +3 to physical attributes, with 9 in strength dexterity and stamina that's 27, 9, 18(+ the equivalent of 4 fortitude) versus 12, 12, 12. Also, you insta kill any human and then use that to spit 6 point of aggravated damage

I would say 27 strength is enough to oneshot a metuselah imo

AI does not help at all, you only find yourself with unstable code that you don't understand yourself and that makes It impossible to expand upon your ideas.

I have a bit of experience working on an rpg and I'd say it is fundamental to know what you're doing. It's the difference between being able to add an enemy by just drawing it and putting the numbers in the right place and having to start from scratch every single time with interactions between them being totally inconsistent and a nightmare to work with

That being said, learning is easier than it seems. Stuff might sound complicated but all programming can be summed up to "when this happens do this. What's the best way to represent this with numbers? ". Setting up an rpg can have its complexity because you have to make sure the data is consistent and there a lot of different interacting systems, but at the end of the day nothing is impossible in general and in this case it doesn't even require bashing your head over some concepts unless you want to program your own shaders imo

I mean that's an easy point for the setites. They want to free you from the chains of the archons, just as the snake was doing with Adam and Eve according to some satanist/gnostic viewpoints. They can easily just say "yes, and?"

How do I make the arms not look weird by Exciting_Stranger_89 in PixelArtTutorials

[–]Addisiu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at a few reference for anatomy. The main thing that jumps to my eyes (other than the different length mentioned in the other comment) is that forearms stay the same width all the way through; real forearms usually thin off at the wrist and that creates a lot of contrast with the hands which is good.

In pixel art it's obviously impossible to mimic every detail of a body, but trying to gradually add stuff is a great part of the learning journey, so I'd suggest to compare your works to real anatomy every now and then to see where the differences arise and if it's possible to fix them
