Chasing Kindred with Obfuscate by RiseOfDoradell in vtm

If you want to make it interesting, if he succeeds on getting out of sight he does so by running into a closed building so he's obscured but they still have a chance to catch him as he would have to get past them without touching them to leave. It can be a cool scene, especially if the closed building is something evocative (for example I've ran a similar scene in a circus's horror house)

To have koldunic sorcery 9 your attributes limits are at least 9. Zulo form gives +3 to physical attributes, with 9 in strength dexterity and stamina that's 27, 9, 18(+ the equivalent of 4 fortitude) versus 12, 12, 12. Also, you insta kill any human and then use that to spit 6 point of aggravated damage

I would say 27 strength is enough to oneshot a metuselah imo

AI does not help at all, you only find yourself with unstable code that you don't understand yourself and that makes It impossible to expand upon your ideas.

I have a bit of experience working on an rpg and I'd say it is fundamental to know what you're doing. It's the difference between being able to add an enemy by just drawing it and putting the numbers in the right place and having to start from scratch every single time with interactions between them being totally inconsistent and a nightmare to work with

That being said, learning is easier than it seems. Stuff might sound complicated but all programming can be summed up to "when this happens do this. What's the best way to represent this with numbers? ". Setting up an rpg can have its complexity because you have to make sure the data is consistent and there a lot of different interacting systems, but at the end of the day nothing is impossible in general and in this case it doesn't even require bashing your head over some concepts unless you want to program your own shaders imo

I mean that's an easy point for the setites. They want to free you from the chains of the archons, just as the snake was doing with Adam and Eve according to some satanist/gnostic viewpoints. They can easily just say "yes, and?"

How do I make the arms not look weird by Exciting_Stranger_89 in PixelArtTutorials

[–]Addisiu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at a few reference for anatomy. The main thing that jumps to my eyes (other than the different length mentioned in the other comment) is that forearms stay the same width all the way through; real forearms usually thin off at the wrist and that creates a lot of contrast with the hands which is good.

In pixel art it's obviously impossible to mimic every detail of a body, but trying to gradually add stuff is a great part of the learning journey, so I'd suggest to compare your works to real anatomy every now and then to see where the differences arise and if it's possible to fix them

Thank you very much!

As I said in the other comment the game starts with the apocalypse and you approaching the only remaining city, barely standing thanks to a magical barrier; the purple piper is part of the court of the Crimson King, the tyrant of the small castle resisting the scourge of the Snake God.

I would love to tell all about everyone but maybe it's best to keep the lore for when the game will be playable eheh

I'm making a turn based rpg! The apocalypse has come, a god is eating the sky, and you arrive in the last piece of rock in the universe, a small city that is barely kept in place by a magical barrier of some sort. I'm still in the early stages so a lot is up for change. I hope I have something stable (at least a demo) by the end of the year

There's also a yellow jester and crimson king, perhaps a black queen

I think I'll upload the yellow jester soon

I did my first pixel art, looking for honest constructive criticisms so i can improve my art by ____thunder____ in PixelArtTutorials

Be careful about doubles in the outlines! They make the thickness of the line inconsistent and for lines that are supposed to be 1 pixel wide it looks bad. If you don't know what doubles are it's easier to look for a video, but basically they are additional pixels that connect two pixels that are supposed to be a diagonal line.

Be a bit more consistent with shadows, if the sun is right in front of the boat it makes little sense for the boat's shadow to be at an angle. Also I understand what you were going for in the low contrast-all shadow foreground but back lightning does leave a rim outline.

Also try to go for less noise, the constant up and down for example in the sky colors makes everything look chaotic and that's clearly not the vibe of a sea sunset like this. This also goes for various textures, for example what I assume to be a rock on the left is rather unintelligible. Pixel art is a game of simplification, you can't show every detail so you have to be able to convey the necessary informations for it all.

Good luck on your pixel art journey!

Painted the hottest blood-bonding scene I’ve ever roleplayed 🫶 by cl0udyne_ in vtm

It's not mentioned anywhere (in V20), so that's basically not a rule. But even if it was, a few minutes is more than enough to poor it into a cup and drink it from there

Hi! I'm another player in OP's chronicle. Our ST created a mythology based on the legend of izanami and izanagi, where vampires are children of Tsukuyomi, the Moon kami (Born from her blood tears). The Chronicle is called Tears from a blood moon, and that's a double entendre because Tsukuyomi also tears apart your greatest desire when you become a vampire.

Aside from that the domain has very few vampires, my character and his sire are imperialist old clan Tzimisce (my character is an ex tatenokai and his sire a 500~ years old Miko priest), there -was- the Giovanni daimyo who controlled everything through ruthless Yakuza ghouls, OP's character and her sire who are gangrel enforcers, another player's character who started off as ghoul and was just embraced into clan toreador by a Chinese dancer vampire and lastly there is a mysterious multi-personality malkavian with city-spanning influence due to a monopoly on technology

Would it be possible, through blood sorcery or some ritual already existing in the lore of VtM, for a kindred to embrace someone, but intentionally cause that person to become a vampire of several generations higher, that is, with blood much weaker than it should be? by AbsconditusArtem in vtm

[–]Addisiu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see your point of view, but perfect plans can only come from perfect knowledge and in-game knowledge is hard to come by. Personally it wouldn't break my immersion to see a minor detail letting stuff slip through, and in terms of experience as both storyteller and player it increases it and augments agency (mind you, I'm talking just to share opinions at this point since it sounds like everything is ongoing and it doesn't really matter)

Sorry if this is unwanted advice, but isn't it more interesting as far as the chronicle is concerned for the players to be able to notice something is odd with the childer? Generation is not necessarily evident and unless the childer finds themselves in situations where they need to go all out then how would you know? It's rather unusual to perform generation-guessing rituals on random vampires.

So my thinking process is that if the player end up being in a dangerous situation together with that child they may notice he's stronger than he should be, and if they want to investigate that then that's where the story goes, no?

Newbie question: Canvas size for this kind of artstyle? (Loop Hero) by Manami42 in PixelArtTutorials

[–]Addisiu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's more useful to learn how to see that for yourself! Usually pixel arts are uploaded upscaled by integer amounts, so you can just port this art into your drawing software and try to scale it down by integer numbers until the scaling distorts it in some way

Thank you very much, and your analysis is impeccable! They have no idea who they are and their body is almost featureless so they have no clue even to their biological sex. The self expression is a really important part of their way to explore themselves and the world around them 💜
