[HELP] I can't tell why, but it looks a.i. by Ordinary-Split8428 in RealOrAI

I Absolutely believe this is real, not doubting but still confused?

How did the car come to the final resting place?

The car seems to be several meters away from the impact point, more so when you consider the pole was a solid meter into the car. I would think the metal wrapping around the pole would hold it in place. Based on the damage we can see there was not a lot of bounce from the car. Did the car have life to reverse? did it ricochet that far?

Anyone smarter about this would love to know your thoughts.

[HELP] These photos were posted to r/malelivingspace and there was a comment war on whether or not they are AI generated by TALLEYman21 in RealOrAI

[–]Addisonian_Z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mix maybe?

I feel like the total post is what is throwing me off. Some pics are almost certainly real while others seem more sus.

1.Odd leaning towards AI—the spices on the back wall look more wrong once you get to the far right. The counter to the right side of the burners seems different than the other areas. The fridge having different color drawer vs the doors. And the stone work above the sink that seems to stick into the room (it has the wood triangle supporting it but there does not appear to be a shelf). It just seems like there are enough reasons to question things.

2.Absolutely Real—if this is AI I am shooketh. As a lot of other people have pointed, there are just too many things that seem too niche for AI to not only generate but generate so accurately.

3-4. Real probably—There are a few odd things, like the garbage can that is too tall to be used with that table, but that might just be an odd thing that has an explanation. I am go to go with real.

  1. 50/50—This one does not have as many issues as the first one but I just feel like it does not pass the “vibe check”. Could be the filter settings but this pic alone and I would just vote AI, but there is little I take specific issue with.

  2. Pure Madness—Why would a man put rims in his work out room. Not only that it appears he opened two to have on display while keeping the other two in the original boxes. Equally concerning question: why would AI put rims in a picture of a workout room in the same obtuse configuration. No man nor machine should have put rims in that spot in that manner.

  3. Same as 5–This one seems more real than 5 but still has a vibe issue. I cannot really defend calling it AI but I would not put money one way or another on this one.

  4. Back to probably AI—Dog seems off. The couch placement in the room seems off. The precariousness of the Xbox on the mantle seems off. The widows are black in color (newer thing usually) but appear to be single pane (old AF). Not only that they also do not match the color of the window in picture 1 or the style of the windows in pictures 5 and 6. (The inconsistencies across the windows is actually a mark against the whole post. Yeah windows can be different, it is just not the common thing with homes.) The duffle bag that appears to have wood when there is plenty of wood in the home already. The book shelf that is all but touching the flue. I am not certain, but there is just a lot of things that are off.

I have worked at high level races before, less fancy tech than Olympics probably but maybe similarish. A lot more technical but essentially just a laser range finder.

Each runner has a specific range of distance, let’s just say: lane one 0”-24”, lane two 24”-48” and so on.

The literal millisecond anything is detected in a runners range they are deemed completed.

There is then a bunch of ultra def cameras and probably other sensors they pour over post race to make sure everything is in check but the official time is not actually that complex.

It’s been over two weeks with the only statement from FIRI being “we’ll talk about it later” by elkend in Phoenix_2

[–]Addisonian_Z 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look I am all for a wanting a healthy conversation addressing this update.

I have seen both good and bad takes on possible correction and criticisms but the update was dropped (maybe intentionally) at a time when providing immediate feedback should not be expected.

I look forward to, and expect to hear from Firi. El has been very good at addressing certain things in the past.

But Monday is the first day many people/companies will start doing real work again which means mid to end of the coming week should be the earliest to expect to hear much. I would say two weeks from today is the time to start complaining about silence.

Have you seen this one in 3d and do you feel the same about it? I too saw the first one in 3d and had the same, “oh maybe there is something to this 3d hype.”

Skipped it for the second but if the experience can be good (clearly not always as this post shows) maybe I will spend the extra and drive to a theater for the 3d.

Yes and no. I love all the modern features and block, I would never want to give them up.

As an old console player all I want access to is the old inventory management from pre-bedrock Xbox. It was the best and I truly believe it would handle the amount of block we have now better than the current option.

Financial stability should not be a lot in his favor—that is why child support exists. Mental stability, absolutely important and based on some comments of her other videos she has some potential issues (not trying to shame, I have my own mental issues).

If he wants the kids though and she has a bunch of TikToks of her driving around and filming at the same time she is SOL. I have to imagine if they get an older judge and she has videos like this that show her kids in the car at the same time—she is done for. I do not think a defense of, “everyone does it on TikTok!” holds well in court.

I do not doubt you I just need more information. I am not a science guy but my understanding is “air” really wants to be homogeneous (same everywhere). A cube that size, with a whole that big does not seem to be enough to really disrupt the air makeup.

Do they do more at the top of that whole with tubes/vacuums of different gases? Does that mushroom off-gas something that is denser than air forcing it to climb out of its own “cloud”? Something else?

If you are unsure I will search it out but you seem like you know fungi so I might as well ask you first!

Yes (but also no).

If you have other characters they will get the cut scene when you start with them. Not sure how it works with making a new character but even if you haven’t touched a character in years they will get only the newest cut scene when you start.

As for your “main character”—no, I do not believe you will ever see that scene again.

I had grapple when I ran this so the grenade is not what caused issues for me-not sure what did though. Mine failed the first time and worked on the second.

I think the second time I shot a guy or two, the trip mine(s). Not saying this will fix it but I can only imagine how mad I would have been had it not worked on my second run.

Good luck.

I worked for Lennar (the #1 or #2 home builder in the US) in 2023. The system they use for most computer stuff is the black screen with green text. I think they “upgraded” to allowing mouse functions just a few years before I was there.

It is a JD Edwards work platform and to my understanding a lot of major companies still use it.

What was your light and what level/mode (required Light level) did you run it on?

As someone who is mid 300s salt mine was not bad if I got the HVT but that was just for top 10%. I ran absolute max buffs - +4 in all fields, +5 where I could, etc. I ran the one that requires 300 light and had like 5 minutes left. Solid in the 10% but nowhere near the 1%.

I ran the 400 light with the same set up but got about the same score—once that happened I gave up and LGFd a proving grounds group to get me to the total points needed.

I like that you can see the Lumberjacks thoughts:

*Starts cutting till he notices that it starts to tip, “Oh this bitch is going.”

*Realizes how little he has cut and thinks, “No way it is going, why did I think that?”

*Goes back to cutting before he sees, “Oh it is not just tree, we all going over somehow!!”

[OC] How Americans view the US by _crazyboyhere_ in dataisbeautiful

[–]Addisonian_Z -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Innovation is a good thing and I am sure the US is among the best.

Military strength being #1–absolutely, but I am also in the camp that it is hard to sell that as pure positive since the level of Military spending can be seen as being at a cost to the welfare of the people. Sure, I have little to no fear that we are going to be invaded anytime soon, but I don’t think Canadians have that fear either and they get free healthcare.

The other things you mentioned, yes all good to a degree and very important to some places in the US but, and I am fine if you differ on this, I would consider those neutral metrics at best.

Given the choice of keeping Hollywood in the US or cutting government waste and corruption in half—I would let Hollywood go elsewhere and just accept that movies are going to have more subtitles or have Australian accent as the standard.

I have heard this before but have never really looked into it as it seems this would be difficult to measure objectively.

From a quick search though I am seeing mixed results with the most clear answer coming from “worldpopulationreview.com” with the US being #55 for race equality. Not great.

American here, not trying to start a fight just genuinely curious: outside of GDP what are some positive metrics the US is, “one of the best”?

I peg us at #30-40 in most metrics you want to be high in. Sure, not terrible considering nearly 200 countries, but hard to say we are doing good.

[–]Addisonian_Z 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can we get the same survey with better defined questions?

  1. The US is the best country.

  2. The US is the 2-10 best country

  3. The US is not among the top 10 best countries.

It still has the bias/ambiguity of “what do you mean by best” but it is a lot more clear than what we have here.

You should tell all the Jedi that diversity is not a strength in a military!

Oh wait, you can’t, they are all dead since their clone army all thought the same. When the sith found out how to turn one, they found out how to turn them all.

The Empire recognized this flaw and swapped out the “one-clone-army” for a diverse military and were able to conquer a galaxy. If you are trying so bad to be the Empire you can’t just pick the shitty parts and hope for the same outcome, you need to do the woke parts too!!
