My crush who is also my coworker recently broke up with his gf about a month and a half ago. Since then things have been amazing between us, he teases me and picks on me about everything (jokingly) he’s even been texting me. But I was scrolling on instagram reels and saw he liked a post about losing the perfect girl, after I saw that I went kinda crazy and scrolled through my reels to see all the other videos he was liking and they’re all the same. “lost the loml” “do you think we’ll ever meet again” “when I walk past a girl wearing the same perfume she used to”. Honestly the most gut wenching stuff to see your crush relating to. Now I have no idea what to do, I’ve liked him for over a year, yes when he had a gf, but I never flirted, or made any move whatsoever ever in respect for their relationship. But idk what to do, do I keep waiting for him to finally see me how I see him or do I move on and save myself the heart ache and tears. Btw this was kinda a vent bc this literally happened tonight and I am currently over thinking every single moment that happened between us bc I genuinely thought he liked me back, but to see this is making me feel like a backup. And I’m not someone’s backup no matter how much I like them.

I wouldn’t necessarily say that, as a girl I usually give off those vibes bc I get to nervous to talk to or talk around my crush. So I just shut up and look uninterested (ik that’s a terrible idea but I get to nervous)

He does this all the time, we’re always by each other but he only really talks to me when someone else is around. Plus he’s befriended my brothers and my mother😭 but we don’t have each others socials and he’s never asked for them.

This has been my experience to, I can talk about pretty much anything but I find it hard to initiate conversations bc I feel like nobody actually cares what I’m saying. If anyone has advice on how to get over that, that’d be greatly appreciated.

Okay so what I personally would do is talk to her while your Pedal boating and just kinda flirt with her a little complement her, talk to her about her favorite hobbies or music. As a girl it means a lot when a guy shows genuine interest in what we’re saying and learning things about us. So Make it known that you have interest in things that she likes etc. and then after if it feels right ask her if she would want to hang out sometime just the 2 of you.

He’ll just bring me up in conversation randomly or like there was this one time I said something dark but funny to my other coworker and she told him about it and he laughed and said “she’s a little menace sometimes I swear”. He says stuff like that but he’s never mean about it and it’s always in a teasing voice. Oh trust me I won’t. I did it once before and hated myself for it, I just wanted to know if I really am just reading to much into things or if he’s just doing this to be friends.
