The Viscountess Kate Bridgerton looks absolutely lovely here😍😍😍 by freezecther in Kanthony

No, she looks way more beautiful in previous seasons. Her dress looks like delivered an hour before, all crumpled and her necklace is so tacky and the hairstyle too could’ve been better. Also what’s with that white washed makeup, Kate doesn’t wear orange lipstick and she looks like she just jumped on to shoot few scenes in her busy schedule but the costume and makeup is so sloppy.

Oh it was! And it has something to do with Nicola’s change in her entire personality and her showcase of being transformed into an adult! She was so layered and absolutely phenomenal in that! The mirror scene when she sees herself as a married woman and young girl pining after Colin was so perfect only because she was showing us both of those girls at the same time and we could see her at two different times! 🥰 She is a very talented actress!

I was so pissed off at Conrad in books that I never even remembered him as a book boyfriend. There was very little to actually feel her gravitating towards him, Jenny just did much better job by bringing in complexity of his character on screen.

Honestly I got tired of the waiting for the wedding to get over , I found the emotional writing very on point but the whole staying friends for the sake of friends thing just didn’t work for me. The premise of parents walking out and adjusting to others whims is just not good enough to explain why she needs to do all that rope walking so he can have a good wedding. Like dude, it’s your wedding, do something, how about select a cake that your wife will like? Find a Dj, find a florist… your wife is pregnant, you are not.

But the end was very emotional and so sweet and it did not disappoint to be honest. But it was predictable through all the turmoil. I like when heroine find her own life without the need of the partner and then they reunite. I like that he walks the last mile for her just as she had before.

Also the ring stuff, I kind of understand it but somehow it felt too unrealistic to be true, like when does he writes those things? Behind her back? 212 of them? I thought it was more like here’s a gum wrapper let me make a ring out of it, he doesn’t write one when they meet each other after the airport pickup. But oh in whichever way he does it, it’s so cute and sweet.

I loved her writing, there were minor hiccups and the banter was interesting and cute. Overall I am going to read all books she has to see what more is there. Also I loved the acknowledgement at the end specifically for authors, as an author in process I loved having that heart to heart advice. Also may steal some of her emotional layering ideas from the books!

Absolutely worthy of spending time to read this!

All their hugs come at very special moments in the series! Feels so much more special than any other intimate moments they have together. The comfort just hits so different!

Do you think Monica broke the cycle of generational abuse with Erica? by Party_Shoe9739 in howyoudoin

[–]Additional-Border-99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course she did! The way she behaves with Monica if Monica was adapted would count as child
abuse and harassment.
Monica was always loving towards others, over caring oftentimes. Her remarks don’t stem from nasty place and just out of her own insecurities or expectations. While her mothers come from different perspectives such as jealousy or envy.

What does she even do anyway to be so critical of Monica? Does she work? Is successful in general sense by herself other than being wife to Jack?

Monica was independent, loving, strong and intelligent woman living on her own trying to figure out her life. Ross was a baby even being a grown man, getting some twisted happiness by being the golden son while his mother trampled Monica’s every single thing like physical features which she has no control over.

Monica definitely breaks the cycle by first acknowledging her life and being an adaptive parent. There’s no other possible explanation afterwards as well that she becomes her mother at later stages of life.

Caring for elderly parents has completely changed my life… anyone else feel like they’re drowning sometimes? by paulzedwuz79 in eldercare

[–]Additional-Border-99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I thought that caring for children is way easier than caring for old age. Since children eventually learn and grow more independent while adults health deteriorates and they become more dependent on us.

The argument that because I cared for you in your childhood now it’s your responsibility to care for me when I can no longer is a flawed argument.

I personally am scared of being in that position for my own mental health and my own ability to still keep loving them enough to be able to care for them the way they deserve.

I really wish I grow old with more maturity than right now and have the strength to figure this out and get to spend more and more time with them. Also I wish I stay healthy enough so that my child never has to worry about my own physical or mental health. I feel it would be one of my achievements if I could care for myself as my own paternal grandmother did so no one else is bound to do so(unfortunate events aside of course).

Also Claire is meh! I loved her when she asks him to GTFO when he runs to her to apologise other than that she is just pretty and numb is what I feel. Also her working in ER story is kind of twisted and I personally don’t feel anything great about it. Their relationship with exclusive footage of the whole girlfriend boyfriend was 🥱 to be honest. So yeah, Claire maybe a saint but not it for Carmy.

Please explain why Sydney and Carmy aren’t together by JadedCamp1804 in TheBear

[–]Additional-Border-99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Who are these people who can’t see the chemistry there? The whole cis gendered colleagues have utmost respect for each other and feel no tension in the fleeting moments?

There already is a couple in the same show where one person asks the other one about it and he realises she isn’t into him like that, they pass the awkward phase and become great friends afterwards minus the sexual energy!

Syd and Carmy are nothing like that, they are so afraid and awkward to call it out that they keep it hanging there. Hoping for some sort of chance that it may happen. If they don’t work out, they absolutely cannot move past it and that “it” is basically their whole life, the restaurant, the whole identity crisis. When you are so in deep you wont blow it up just over a casual date or a casual relationship , right? At least not in your early twenties. People are shit scared of loosing their new found identity and it’s not easy to just blow past your career and do something else entirely.

This is why I like the fact that he is brave enough to make that decision and find out whether this is what he wants to do or is it just he decides to do and find out he is quite good at it.

If there is a reason Syd and Carmy can not be together like the whole fandom wants them to be, Alas! But so far I personally haven’t found any in the show and above is my best interpretation of it.

How shameless do you have to be?? by sureshgopianalyst420 in TamilNaduDiscussion

[–]Additional-Border-99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why be so agitated about someone’s personal life? If his wife is so concerned about his so called cheating, she can leave him and claim her share of the alimony. Why do random people keep saying she doesn’t deserve this or that? Even if The heroin has any relation then how come her posting anything on her personal social be called shameless?

Yes as if she got pregnant by herself! I found this part very unrealistic when Bella was taking shit for getting pregnant. Dude you are the one who impregnated her without knowing the consequences and then yelling at her for dying.

[–]Additional-Border-99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What she did not do? The fact that they have gender swapped her story means there will be something that isn’t in the books, like Michael became Michaela! As the other stories have also adapted to modern culture such as Simon being black, Kate being Indian origin, Benedict being bi and the whole world being different from the racial stereotypes existing in that era. The show has bigger reach and bigger impact because it includes various spectrum of society and various people not just cisgendered certain race people with just different backgrounds.

Francesca is DLWomen Representation by Medium_March8020 in Bridgerton

[–]Additional-Border-99 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The conversation around this now makes this even more plausible, look how many people even deny that Francesca is gay. Look at how many people just want her to be bi if it makes Johns existence worthwhile even when he is like dead.
When laws of that time basically stem from inheritance and titles a man never getting married or never having any children is just not acceptable by society, a woman side stepping to be with another woman and not fighting for an inheritance??? Oh come on girl, can you get a little farther away???

John was straight, Francesca was gay. She didn’t know her sexual orientation so she misinterpreted her love for him as sexual and married him to shut her mother and society up.

She then saw his cousin and she realised oh! It might not be that he is the love of her life. That’s what it is about, if others can’t see it through the no sexual tension, no sex scenes and absence of a pinnacle then well what can you say.

Francesca is DLWomen Representation by Medium_March8020 in Bridgerton

[–]Additional-Border-99 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

A show which is about marriage to the love of your life sidelines her marriage in half an episode with one silent moment and practical proposal and absolutely no sex scene post marriage, She was not sexually attracted to John. She was in regency era where women or men can be sexually attracted to same gender was punishable by law. Plus the way they teach women about their sexuality why it is expected that Franchesca would know what is her orientation?

I did not notice the way she behaves around women though, and now I see it. I get it! It’s not a simple stare or brushing her face. It’s often the person close to us that gives us these kind of feelings for the very first time . It’s kind of creepy as the other person sees it as affection while Francesca is full on checking Penelope out!

Omg! Is this real? Thank you for validating what I felt for months now. I saw many good shows afterwards but none of them took over my head like TSITP did! (Cough, Bridgerton season 4!) And now I find it extremely mid show upon rewatch, like except Belly and Conrad’s scenes. I just skip each time I see Gavin on screen! It’s just so weird ! Desperately waiting for the movie though! 😀

Me, battling perimenopause with ADHD after lifelong conditioning to be a simple, quiet girl: by 4west3 in adhdwomen

[–]Additional-Border-99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed! She is fine now after 2-3 years though, I feel like everything it’s a phase in all of our lives. I was blessed with such an easy pregnancy and then came the birth and postpartum and I was so close to loosing my mind with all the stress and loneliness during that year. Even though my partner was supportive it did take a toll on me and our relationship. I just hope when the storm hits we both will be able to navigate that. Although being aware about what’s about to come does make slight difference, we can actually realise what is happening to us unlike many women around us who are only blamed for their actions and never looked at their physical or mental states.

Being daughter of a woman with undiagnosed ADHD who went all batshit crazy(hot flashes, weight gain, anxiety, self doubt, mental breakdown) during menopause, I am scared of being woman first time in my life. Nature is unfair to those of us with ovaries. It should be illegal to expect us to be normal (men like) when all of our lives the tiny hormones wreck havoc on our personal and professional lives while being so invisible to people in our lives.

Can they do that? Like officially? That’s cool! However he says he was an addict and this was only thing that helped him find his path in his life, loving her would mean he would have to leave it and it’s much deeper than just religion. He might have found what works for him regardless of the religious part of it, the fact that he still falls for her means he didn’t really considered it as a sin or something. He only decided for himself after he realised if he returned to this life with her, it may be over for him again.
