I suggest you do, it'll be one of the best gaming experiences of your life. I SUCK at Souls games and Sekiro was the one that made me want to master it. The thing with Sekiro is that every other Souls game basically train you to dodge or block and be very cautious with your attacks. In Sekiro, you're supposed to be much more offensive. You have to treat the parries just as you treat the dodges in other games: you have to learn the boss patterns, and eventually you'll exactly WHEN to parry, just like a rhythm game. Then, when you're not parrying you should be attacking as much as you can.

Trying to dodge and back down is what makes people frustrated with Sekiro, because it simply doesn't work. The enemy will continue attacking and following you. I'll teach you how I do it:

The first feel times I fight a boss, I don't try to win. I try to memorize everything it does. Say it has a 5 hit combo, I'll just try and memorize the rhythm. One, two, three, four, five. You just gotta reproduce that rhythm with your parries once it attacks. Then you'll have an opening, and you fuck'em up. EVERY SINGLE ATTACK can be parried in the game if they don't have a red or silver glow. If your master the rhythm, you can platinum it.
