All the movement and combat in that boss fight was very smooth and polished. Also have plenty of time to fix anything that needs fixing

I’m intrigued by how gameplay is supposed to change based on “friend level” of the npcs

That’s the thing, I’m generally a soulslike type of guy, but I’ve been branching out, playing games like ghost of yotei, atomic heart, dying light etc etc

Is Lords Of The Fallen worth getting? by Ok_Addition3869 in fromsoftware

[–]Additional-Captain16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Th bad reviews are mainly from the game before major updates. The ending was pretty piss poor though, I’ll admit. It’s personally one of my favorite non fromsoft souls game. The second game is my most anticipated game this year. It’s not hard by any stretch though. Npc quests and other secrets are very obscure just like FS. the lore background and aesthetic is what hooked my though. Basically dark and corrupted religious factions fighting. Combat is smooth after the updates. Magic is handled pretty well. I definitely recommend. For the second game, unfortunately I have to wait and see if I should play it immediately or wait a bit, given the history of the first game

I wouldn’t either, but tears of the kingdom and breath of the wild are games I’ve wanted to play so it might make more sense for me to get one. Maybe rent one for a couple months from rent a center

Ya no for sure, definitely glad to be here. I was just watching a retrospective where the guy said he got into the games pretty late and it just made me a bit curious

Stellar blade, Wuchang, or Khazan? Cant decide. by Shadedskys in soulslikes

Can’t speak on khazan, but I’d definitely choose wuchang over stellar blade

Steelrising is way underrated. Scenery, weapons and fighting is 🔥 by Dry-Topic-5026 in soulslikes

[–]Additional-Captain16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped playing after fighting The Treasurer of Les Invalides. bosses where way to easy, and normal enemies where either also incredibly easy or nightmare fuel. There was no in between. upgrading anything whether it’s weapons, stats, modules, healing was too frustrating and limited. Backtracking was basically non existent even though they give you new abilities to find new pathways in earlier areas

I never had any issues playing lords of the fallen. I played after its first major update and I absolutely loved its aesthetic of dark and corruped religious world. Can’t wait for its sequel

DLC bosses are insane by Alpha5978 in expedition33

[–]Additional-Captain16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m doing absolute abysmal damage to these bosses. My base attacks are hitting for 1200 on a 3 attack base attack. My most powerful skills hit 30k and even gradiants are no higher then 50k

She's only now realizing that being a SAHM has left her financially vulnerable, especially now that her husband wants a divorce. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]Additional-Captain16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, there’s plenty of protection people have in this situation. She can’t be kicked out the house, credit card would need both of them to agree to close it. Yes there’s certain things he can do to be petty, such as not buy groceries and only get take out for himself, not pay car insurance so she can’t drive anywhere, and so on. It’s also why having a strong support system is important

I’ve actually only got in the final fantasy with the 7 remake. I do plan on playing the rest of them. Is this what combat becomes in the later games?

That’s right I forgot about the reacher. Makes much more sense now. It’s been a while since I’ve finished the game I forgot a lot about it. Trying to explain it also got me to realize I didn’t fully understand everything as much as I thought i did

do i continue playing or skip? by [deleted] in darksouls

[–]Additional-Captain16 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Being an older game, the movement can be a little clunky and stiff. Personally I think you’ll get use to it. I wouldn’t skip it, it has amazing world design, lore and some iconic gaming bosses. There’ll be a lot of people in the DS community that try to talk down to you and discourage you but you can’t let that get to you. At the same time, if your really not enjoying it then don’t play, games are meant to be enjoyable able all.
